This time in Mexico
Yet ANOTHER gender reveal party ends in death
by Anonymous | reply 72 | April 19, 2021 3:08 AM |
Considering that no one gives a shit what gender someone else's baby is going to be, I'm going to go out on a limb and say this really wasn't worth dying over.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | April 1, 2021 7:28 PM |
So it was a miscarriage?

[quote]A gender-reveal party stunt went devastatingly wrong when two pilots died after they crashed into the sea during the unveiling in front of a horrified family.
"Well, that sucked. Who wants cake?"

"Baby Dumpling, I remember the day we knew you would be a little angel coming from heaven on that boat, we were all so happy, and the Lord took two people back to heaven for him to give us you!"
by Anonymous | reply 4 | April 1, 2021 7:35 PM |
I do not understand a party for gender reveal. I mean come on it's ridiculous.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | April 1, 2021 7:35 PM |
No more vulgar than a 'push ' present.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | April 1, 2021 7:38 PM |
Ay-ay-ay!
adiós, mijo!

In MY day, the was only through the delivery by stork, or discovery in a cabbage patch. If delivered by stork, it was a boy. If discovered in a cabbage patch it was a girl.
If delivered by stork to a cabbage patch by mistake it was a hermaphrodite.

Nor should you understand it. It's a frau thing.

Gender reveal parties: a future lawsuit waiting to happen from the misgendered tween
by Anonymous | reply 10 | April 1, 2021 7:58 PM |
We could solve the over population problem in this world if we made it a requirement that EVERY birth is proceeded by a gender reveal party that results in at least one death.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | April 1, 2021 7:59 PM |
All gender reveal parties should be held when the child is 18.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | April 1, 2021 8:02 PM |
Gender reveal parties are literal violence!
by Anonymous | reply 13 | April 1, 2021 8:11 PM |
I relish a good gender party death as much as the next DLer, but this is more of a plane crash than an idiot couple using explosives wrong.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | April 1, 2021 8:12 PM |
Gender reveal parties usually end up with two really disgusting scenarios:
1) It's a boy - and the father wipes his brow and is overwhelmed and thankful he doesn't have a girl.
2) It's a girl - the father is disappointed (and sometimes SHOWS IT) and his male friends make jokes about paying for weddings, getting a shotgun to ward off boys, etc.
Basically, it's a celebration that you are not having a girl or condolences if you do have one. It's sick.
Why would anyone attend one of these? And also, I'm sick and tired of celebrating straight people's lives with these never-ending celebrations. Engagement party, bachelor/bachelorette party, wedding, baby announcement, gender reveal, baby shower, then a sip-and-see.
Fuck them.

I'm not normally superstitious but, can we all agree those parties are officially bad luck? I mean, I'm not assisting to one even if I get paid
by Anonymous | reply 21 | April 2, 2021 4:11 AM |
Only Americans are tacky enough to have gender reveal parties.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | April 2, 2021 4:13 AM |
Sure, everyone talks about these gender reveal deaths but what about all the gender reveal parties where only a few people are maimed
by Anonymous | reply 23 | April 2, 2021 4:13 AM |
It was a girl.
On soaps a doctor will tell a woman, lying in a hospital bed.
"I'm sorry. You lost the baby."
the woman sighs and looks anguished.
"It was a boy."
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

How do they know what gender it will be? Typical arrogant white cis presumption.

Revealed
by Anonymous | reply 30 | April 11, 2021 12:35 PM |
I can’t even imagine the depths of hell ones life must be to think a “gender reveal party” is a worthwhile event.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | April 11, 2021 12:36 PM |
Why haven’t the SJWs gotten these parties canceled yet? They would actually be doing something constructive for once.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | April 11, 2021 12:44 PM |
r31 Baby showers are dreadful enough, but a gender reveal party is a whole other circle of hell.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | April 11, 2021 12:46 PM |
What a depressing start to their Baby Album.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | April 11, 2021 12:57 PM |
It’s sad that this time it was innocent people who were killed.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | April 11, 2021 2:04 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 36 | April 11, 2021 2:45 PM |
I’m happy to see any fatalities as a result of this nonsense fad.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | April 11, 2021 2:47 PM |
Literal literal violence.

These parties have been around for only a few years but are now the leading cause of accidental death in the U.S.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | April 11, 2021 4:50 PM |
White trash with a little money started these “parties.” People that name their twin boy children names like “Braxtyn” and “Brixtyn,” and dress them in matching camo print onesies.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | April 11, 2021 5:10 PM |
Somebody make a Yakety Sax gender reveal disaster compilation, please.

[quote]Baby showers are dreadful enough, but a gender reveal party is a whole other circle of hell.
I agree with this, I've gone to a bunch baby showers, some aren't all that bad and others are dreadful. The gender reveal parties are worse.
In a few cases, I've heard of gender reveal parties being used as pre baby shower gift grab events. I have a friend whose parents raised her niece because my friend's sister was a drug addict and the niece's father signed away parental rights. My friend said that her parents spoiled her niece and her niece as a 20 something can't manage money for shit and can't hold down jobs. The niece and her boyfriend live with my friends' parents along with their 2 year old and a baby that was born last fall. My friend said that with both gender reveal parties, the niece asked that people going to the parties take a pack of diapers or other small baby gifts. That pissed off most people in the family and they view the niece as a spoiled brat.

Can't wait for the orientation reveal parties when the kid is 18. "Hooray, it's a bi."

Wait, aren’t you supposed to bring gifts to a gender reveal party? That’s why they have them, right?
by Anonymous | reply 44 | April 16, 2021 3:07 AM |
Just like no one cares about your apparent great life on social media, no one cares about the gender of your child
by Anonymous | reply 45 | April 16, 2021 3:23 AM |
These kind of deplorables won’t learn until there’s many more deaths.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | April 16, 2021 3:35 PM |
Only the Poors and fat Trumper trash have these reveal parties.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | April 16, 2021 3:36 PM |
These are all filmed so why can't we have a compilation of gender reveal parties that have gone terribly horribly wrong. There have to be a ton of them where guests who were filming were delighted by the outcome.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | April 16, 2021 4:24 PM |
I did it for YOU, DAMIEN!

R48 - They’re all on YouTube, including compilation videos.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | April 16, 2021 4:44 PM |
They need to change the terminology here. It should be called an "AAB (assigned at birth) gender reveal" so that the kid doesn't feel that they are disappointing everyone if they come out as binary or trans later.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | April 16, 2021 4:48 PM |
[quote]They’re all on YouTube, including compilation videos.
Do they include wacky sound effects?
by Anonymous | reply 52 | April 16, 2021 5:50 PM |
R9 It may have started out as a frau thing but it's the husbands / baby daddies that turned it into a competitive bloodsport.
About five years ago, a friend told me she had to go to a gender reveal party and my response was, "What the hell is that?" She explained the concept to me and, while she thought it was as ridiculous as I did, it was for a very close friend so what can you do?
It turned out to be a small gathering of close friends and family, no gifts, and a few pink and blue decorations, The big "reveal" came after lunch when the cake was cut and - ta da! - there was blue frosting between the layers.
Why it became necessary to turn these completely unnecessary yet benign gatherings into life threatening situations involving cannons and explosives, I have no idea.

Although I agree asking for gifts is vulgar, if she’s begging for diapers, she is no longer “spoiled”. She’s in deep shit (both figuratively and literally).
by Anonymous | reply 54 | April 16, 2021 6:13 PM |
It's the same women who have cutesy sayings in cursive writing on their walls.
The same women who wear those shirts that have those long lists of all the things this aunt/mother/girlfriend is.
In other words, not a single one of them has a brain, soul or personality of their own, and have to try to spackle in the semblance of one with some commercially contrived one.
Thus, finding new and exciting ways of celebrating something women have been doing for millennia. Applause, gifts and fanfare just because your crotch dropping is about to gnaw its way out of your stinking gash! Hooray!
Next: getting a registry or a gift card every time you take a dump!
by Anonymous | reply 55 | April 16, 2021 8:07 PM |
As R53 pointed out it's the fucking men who have turned these silly parties into an execution.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | April 17, 2021 2:33 AM |
Yeah, I'm never going to one of these parties.
I would sue the hell out of the happy expectant couple if I got injured and now know to tell all my heirs to sue the hell out of them if I'm killed.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | April 17, 2021 2:42 AM |
Guests should be allowed to feel the father’s balls as well as the mother’s cervix and then place bets before the reveal.
If the couple is religious, there should be a rooster fight to determine the child’s sex and paternity.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | April 17, 2021 2:52 AM |
So should these be really assigned at conception reveals? Like 'we're assigning this impregnated egg as male so we just texted you to save lives.'
by Anonymous | reply 59 | April 17, 2021 3:05 AM |
What if it's not male or female?
by Anonymous | reply 60 | April 17, 2021 3:07 AM |
I find the patriarchy and matriarchy behind affirming gender before the child is able to articulate zir own identity troubling.
by Anonymous | reply 61 | April 17, 2021 3:18 AM |
So both blue and pink smoke bombs would indicate the child will be non-binary?
by Anonymous | reply 62 | April 17, 2021 3:39 AM |
Straight People are hilarious....I certainly hope no gays are harmed in their brat gender announcements.....LoL
by Anonymous | reply 63 | April 17, 2021 3:57 AM |
That little zhit blew up the party!
by Anonymous | reply 64 | April 17, 2021 4:00 AM |
The kid is in for so much shit and therapy:
“I should have known you would be trouble; you killed two pilots and a plane while you were in the womb!”
by Anonymous | reply 65 | April 17, 2021 4:13 AM |
Born in grief and sorrow. A lifetime of tears.
by Anonymous | reply 66 | April 18, 2021 2:32 AM |
Who fills the cannons with pink or blue smoke bombs? It would be someone who knows the gender of the baby, right? So not the mom or dad. Does a doctor fill it? And who puts the pink or blue icing in the cake? Does the doctor tell the baker to do that?
by Anonymous | reply 67 | April 18, 2021 7:28 AM |
If the banners had said, "it's a they/them", none of this would have happened.
by Anonymous | reply 68 | April 18, 2021 2:18 PM |

I have a friend who is a baker. She said that what usually happens is that an expectant couple will tell the doctor or ultrasound tech that they are doing a gender reveal cake party and they ask that the doctor or tech not tell them the gender of the baby and to write it down on paper and put in a envelope and seal it. The couple or relative who is organizing the gender reveal party places the order with the bakery/baker and gives them the sealed envelope and the bakers open it and will then make a blue or pink filled cake depending on what the paper says.
by Anonymous | reply 69 | April 18, 2021 3:38 PM |
^^ That's a lot of planning to keep secret a revelation no one but the expectant parents gives a shit about. ^^
by Anonymous | reply 70 | April 18, 2021 4:18 PM |
What if it's one of those cases where parents already have 3 sons and more than anything in the world they want a daughter and at the gender reveal it turns out to be another son? Does it put a crimp in the party?
by Anonymous | reply 71 | April 19, 2021 3:01 AM |
[quote]Does it put a crimp in the party?
Definitely, more so than all the deaths and maimings that accompanied the gender reveal.
