You need to lose a few pounds.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | March 29, 2021 12:37 AM |
Oh, @gingerdiscourse!
Does this mean you'll be out on the town boasting and offering yourself for free sexual intercourse?

Are you jumping the queue?
I'm in Australia and only 70 year olds and first responders can get the jab.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | March 29, 2021 1:03 AM |
Is that really you OP? If so, we have mutuals on Twitter.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | March 29, 2021 1:03 AM |
I'm in Arizona R14. They lowered the vaccine ager to people between 55-64 almost four weeks ago. Last week they lowered it to anyone 16 years or older.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | March 29, 2021 1:05 AM |
R16 The roll out in Australia has been slowed down because Papua New Guinea (an island to our north) has had a horrendous out break and we feel morally-obliged to pay for their vaccinations.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | March 29, 2021 1:08 AM |
It is a tough situation to be in R17. When I was trying to make an appointment I felt like I was playing the lottery and hopefully would win. It was nuts. I posted on another thread and said instead of doing it online I used their phone number and was able to book an appointment. I hope you get your vaccine soon.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | March 29, 2021 1:13 AM |
America is much further along in their vaccine rollout r14. 28% of people in America already have at least one dose.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | March 29, 2021 1:15 AM |
Actually, Australia is doing comparatively well.
As you can tell in another thread live theatre has recommenced and almost all restrictions have been lifted in our biggest city.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | March 29, 2021 1:17 AM |
Today is exactly two weeks since my second shot. I am home free. I will be spending the entire day tomorrow at the baths making up for lost time.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | March 29, 2021 1:18 AM |
OP looks about 40 years too young to be a DL user... Damn son, get outta here. Go live your life.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | March 29, 2021 1:20 AM |
We've got 55%+ of the adult population with their first Vaccination and about 5%+ had their second. In the UK.
They're going to concentrate on 2nd jabs in April, then bring on the Moderna vaccine for the under 50s.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | March 29, 2021 1:29 AM |

by Anonymous | reply 32 | March 29, 2021 1:53 AM |

I got my first shot two weeks ago, and I’m still wearing the bandage from it. I wonder if they will take it off so they can do the second one.

[quote] I got my first shot two weeks ago, and I’m still wearing the bandage from it.
Why?
by Anonymous | reply 53 | March 29, 2021 6:23 AM |
r53, they left it on.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | March 29, 2021 6:35 AM |
Well, why don't you take it off?
by Anonymous | reply 55 | March 29, 2021 7:40 AM |
r55, there were no instructions to take it off afterwards.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | March 29, 2021 8:26 AM |
I'm in Australia too, and we're already into the 1b phase, with 2b set to be all done by midyear... so I don't think the roll out is that slow here. Unless... it's not different state by state, is it? Where I am it's basically like covid never happened, except that we have hand sanitiser and posters about covid everywhere. I never stop feeling grateful, I know how shitty it has been for so many out there.
PS, OP, you're sexy.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | March 29, 2021 8:31 AM |
Jesus, r56, are you special needs? Do you go to the ER if you need a bandaid? Or are you the "I'm too stupid to live" troll?
Just take the bandage off; it doesn't require instructions. It's pretty much there to protect your clothing in case the injection site bleeds a little; you can remove it as soon as the bleeding stops. I didn't get any instructions with my vaccine bandages and I doubt anyone else here did, either. Somehow we coped (whereas you're probably going to be buried with bandage #2 still stuck to your arm).
by Anonymous | reply 58 | March 29, 2021 8:21 PM |
To each his own, but I'm challenged to see how anyone finds the OP (or the guys whose pic he linked, anyway) attractive, what with those ridiculous curls, doughy gut, and that dippy look on his face.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | March 29, 2021 8:25 PM |
Very hard to get an appointment in nyc, they are opening up to over30 tomorrow. Gonna be impossible to get one now

I thought the current bandage would come off on its own whenever it should, but I’ve showered over it several times and it’s still attached. It makes me think of wristbands that are put on you at hospitals or special events. Those are impossible to get off, and I’ve had to go to a place like a store and ask if they could cut it off.
by Anonymous | reply 61 | March 30, 2021 8:46 AM |
The OP’s picture is very cute.

So yank the damned thing off, doofus. Have you noticed that nobody else in this thread has chimed in to make a similar complaint?
[quote] It makes me think of wristbands that are put on you at hospitals or special events. Those are impossible to get off, and I’ve had to go to a place like a store and ask if they could cut it off.
JFC, I hope you’re kidding. I’m right handed but can easily use my left hand to cut those bands off my right wrist or, y’know, just grab onto the band and pull until it tears off. They are not at all difficult to remove. Next time you are plaguing some shop clerk to remove your band, consider buying a pair of scissors while you’re in the store.
How the fuck do you get through life with so few coping skills?
by Anonymous | reply 64 | March 30, 2021 10:22 AM |
is it true that you have to bring your social security card with you to get vax? I heard someone was turned away because they didn't have insurance and no ss card.
by Anonymous | reply 65 | April 2, 2021 3:06 PM |
You have to show ID R65. Social security card can't be used as ID.

Attention Fully Vaccinated DLers --
As a community service I am alerting you that Office Depot/Office Max is laminating FOR FREE the Covid-19 immunization cards given to all vaccine recipients.
I got mine done this morning at my local store.

Trying to help a friend in nyc get an appointment and it’s nearly impossible. Another friend told me the Javits Center is always posting new appointments and BINGO I got him one for next month. I got my second Pfizer shot today and was surprised when the nurse told me I should take Tylenol ASAP to prevent a headache. I’ve heard that you should put off taking anything until 24 hrs after the shot. I do have a headache but I’ll wait until tomorrow to take Tylenol.
by Anonymous | reply 68 | April 2, 2021 4:22 PM |
[quote] is it true that you have to bring your social security card with you to get vax?
In a perfect world, those without Social Security numbers would not be allowed to receive the vaccine, at least until every citizen and legal resident had received one. However, providers can ask for Social Security numbers, but they are not supposed to refuse to provide a vaccine if a number isn’t given.

by Anonymous | reply 71 | April 4, 2021 7:41 PM |
Kathy Griffin is so tedious. She let Trump break her and take her humor in the process. Vaccines have been open to everyone 50+ in LA since 4/1. Everyone is SoCal - if you want the vaccine today, no questions asked, go to Bakersfield. Check out reddit for more details but they will take everyone, regardless of country, and have a running walk in line.
by Anonymous | reply 72 | April 4, 2021 7:53 PM |
You don't have to wait 24 hours post-vaccine to take tylenol. You're just not supposed to take it a day before the shot as a pre-emptive way to ward off a fever.
by Anonymous | reply 73 | April 4, 2021 11:09 PM |
R73, can you take aspirin the day before?

Good. We know from Israel that the vaccines are highly effective against that variant.

My 2nd Moderna shot was Wednesday. I had a headache that day, have been sleeping a bit more, and have a goose egg at the injection site. I slept more the first time, but didn't feel as bad.

by Anonymous | reply 82 | April 12, 2021 9:19 AM |
I was able to get the bandage off this past week, in preparation for the second shot this coming week. It hurt when I peeled off the bandage, much more than the shot itself.
