Joss Whedon’s CAREER IS DEAD TO ME!
Supposedly he is being blacklisted after Snyder’s Justice League came out and already became a hit for HBO Max, as well as with many critics and the public. Hollywood is seeing he is the issue in many of his productions etc.
Not to mention the actors who have spoken out about him.

Confirms what many had already thought....a talentless Hollywood POS.

While I think Joss is a total douche, I don't think he is to blame for the Justice League (2017) edit. He was given the task to edit down an almost 4 hour long movie. That meant to cut a lot of pivotal scenes and do shoddy patch-up work to make some sense of the rest.
WB should've split Snyder's version into a two part movie. The nerds would've watched both as usual. "Crisis" averted.

He'll do work under the table - script doctoring etc.

When he was younger, I would have certainly fucked him for a part. But now, no thank you. I would rather earn that role with time and effort at learning my craft and because he's not so attractive now.

The first five seasons of Buffy were very good.
Firefly's limited run had unrealized potential. But, the Firefly movie was a mess.
While the Josstice League movie was a colossal failure in storytelling (and oddly special effect, even if you don't count the crazy Cavill mustache debacle), it really may not have been his fault. That version has studio executives' grubby little fingerprints all over it.
The original Avengers was solid although not spectacular. The Age of Ultron was iffy, but not the failure that Josstice League was. At best, I'd say that Whedon could have probably achieved something similar to Ultron if left to his own devices - not great, not a complete failure.

The critics and the public didn’t call it a hit. People are very meh about the entire thing except for the Snyder fan boys. The film was still a pile of garbage.

Buffy went off the boil by the fourth season. It kinda sorta semi recovered at times but it was never as consistently good again.

Joss is blacklisted for being a bit of an asshole to a black guy (even though there was no racial issues) and yet Hollywood was screaming for rapist Roman Polanki's return only a few years ago.

Seems like the general consensus is that it went from a D to a C+/B- still not great, but much better than the dismal failure it was.

R9 ignores the actors who worked with him in the past who have recently come forward with awful stories about working with/for him.
Sarah Michelle Gellar backed up someone recently about what a nightmare he was.

Whedon was always overpraised. The first 3 seasons of Buffy are quite good, but the show was never the same after David Greenwalt left to do Angel: I think DG was responsible for a lot more of Buffy's early success than he's ever been credited for. Angel was all DG in the early years and went off the rails after DG left and Whedon took more of a hand in day-to-day affairs. Firefly wasn't nearly as groundbreaking as fans thought at the time, and Dollhouse was a mess. His Avengers films used the same dialogue tics and narrative tricks as Buffy, and let's not even get into his Wonder Woman script.
Whedon was a fresh voice in the mid-90s, but that voice has never grown or changed and his gender politics are now hopelessly dated. Add in his sleazy personality and abusive behavior, and of course he's finished. Hollywood has no need to protect a creator who shot his wad creatively years ago and is personally disliked by many in the industry.
He's made plenty of money, so if he's smart he'll retire and maybe write comic books or something. He's finished in Hollywood.

R4 so you're saying back then you had no integrity because you would've fucked a director for a movie part but you wouldn't fuck that director for a movie part today because you are now shallow in addition to still not having the integrity to NOT use the casting couch?
Hahaha. fucking whore

Well, if ever there were a pot calling the kettle black...
Apparently, she was nightmare to everyone because she was a Whedon fav, especially Amber Benson. There are even rumors of her pulling crap on SMG.

Yeah, but if you read the accounts, she was a "bitch" because she wasn't all that chummy. She came, did her lines, and went home. By all accounts, she was extremely professional, always prepared, and ready to work.

Back in the day, James Marsden made a point of saying in an interview that SMG pulled him aside and said that she liked to keep things professional, she wouldn't be inviting him to parties etc. He seemed to appreciate her candor.

"Supposedly he is being blacklisted after Snyder’s Justice League came out and already became a hit for HBO Max"
Probably bullshit rumor started by the asshole DC fanboys who worship Snyder, and they are a damn bucket of alt-right incel crazy you don't want to dip a toe into!
I don't see how Wheedon comes out of this looking badly, as I've said elsewhere the film was the biggest clusterfuck of recent years, one that's had both fans and industry professionals fighting over it for the last four years. Whedon was brought in after Snyder had made a hash of things and was able to put out a movie that made 650 mil at the worldwide box office, it was a bad movie but it was going to be a bad movie no matter what. He did the job he was paid to do - which was to keep the mess Snyder made from turning into a complete financial disaster.

I know zip about him--except I really liked Buffy--at its best, it was brilliant--and I also admired his "Much Ado" movie, which no one ever talks about I mean, compared to Kenneth Branagh's stodgy version, it's a delight. I guess he IS a creep, but he's not run-of-the-mill, Hollywood stupid. Not by any means.

"What sort of name is Joss? Were his parents feeble-minded?"
It's actually short for Jocelyn, which like Florence, used to be a British male name. But now that Jocelyn has become a female name, the nickname Joss may have become a male name in its own right.
Or maybe his parents were hippies who liked joss sticks.

If I had to guess, it's that he was such a jackass during the filming and STILL produced that pile of garbage. It would be one thing if his "vision" actually panned out - a lot if forgiven when you actually have one. But, he basically treated people like garbage, and it become embarrassingly public, PLUS he didn't deliver.

His late father, Tom Whedon, was a TV writer for Golden Girls, among other shows. So nepotism is the likeliest reason Joss got a start in the business at all.

"It would be one thing if his "vision" actually panned out - a lot if forgiven when you actually have one. But, he basically treated people like garbage, and it become embarrassingly public, PLUS he didn't deliver."
Oh, he delivered, the movie earned 600+ mil at the box office! Which may have been a bit of a disappointment, but not the complete financial disaster that Snyder's 4-hour cut would have been.
He wasn't hired to make a masterpiece or realize a "vision" (or to make the cast happy), he was hired to make the mess of butt-ugly footage that Snyder left behind into something salable, and with a running time that allowed turnover in movie theater seats, and to minimize the amount of money the studio was going to lose. Whether he succeeded or not isn't a matter of fan debate, because it wasn't his job to please the fans. It was his job to polish Snyder's turd, and if he avoided a total financial disaster, then I think the studio suits who will say whether his career lives or dies were pleased with him and will fund his projects.
