AKA Colleen Fitzpatrick. She and her Sunny Delight-tinged hair seemed to be everywhere in the late '90s and early 2000s. She had a few catchy songs, plus that overly sentimental graduation track that was played at every high school graduation in America from 1999–2004. She also did a few movies, and wasn't a half-bad actress (she was one of the few good things in the ridiculous "Dracula 2000"). It seems like she fell off the face of the earth after 2005.
She's VP of Music at Nickelodeon.

And she was one of the judges on the cruel (but funny) fake reality competition "Superstar USA."
("Wow. Your voice. I can truthfully say I've never heard anything quite like it.")

And hilariously so.
"She was nude!"
"SHE'S ADOPTED!"

She was at a Q&A for the anniversary of Hairspray put on by the Academy Awards a few years ago. She looks good.

OP here–I completely forgot she was in Hairspray. I looked at her Wiki, and she's had a weird career. She was also in a short-lived quasi-punk band called Eve's Plum (yes, a play on Eve Plumb) while she was attending NYU in the '90s.

I remember her being everywhere for a bit...didn’t they make a doll of her? She never even had a top ten song. I thought she was bigger than that.

Her 2 albums, self-titled and More, are full of catchy songs and fun production. They hold up well.
Before that she was lead singer in a band called Eve's Plum, which was more alternative than pop. But that band name makes me smile.

I knew her before she got that really bad nose job. She went by Ascorbic Acid.

"Graduation" was a bit sappy, lyrically, but the instrumentals on that song are gorgeous

Yup, there was a Vitamin C doll. There are several listed on ebay. I remember seeing the dolls in stores along with the pop star Barbie dolls.

I think she's a music teacher in NJ now like the original Annie.

That Graduation song was played to DEATH.

I bought cassette singles by her back in the 1990's. Haven't heard anything about her for years.

Well, if this isn't a blast from the past. I completely forgot about her. I only remember this song and the one about graduation.

I said this on the last thread we had on Colleen (which wasn't that long ago, OP), she's lying about her age. I went to NYU with her and we were both there in the 88-89 school year. She was a year ahead of me. She was not born in 1972, she was born in either 68 or 69.
