Okay, sorry, imma repost here, did not know there was another part.

I really am sorry if my post is going to be longer than other posts usually are, but I really am sad due to this BB covidiot situation and would really want to talk it through. It's more of an analysis than an actual contribution of valid information.

First of all, I have considered myself a BB's fan since I was like 10, when the first Narnia film was released. You know, you're young, you get the poster with Caspian, the books, the T-shirts and eventually you'll get on with that period of your life. He kinda came back to my life once I was dealing with my graduation exam and was lazy to actually read Dorian Gray, so I spent the whole weekend just rewatching the film — and I love him dearly to this day. Last year, when Rona came to say hi, I was in a really bad place, but somehow managed to rewatch the film and ended up browsing BB's instagram. I can't even express how happy I was finding someone who actually talks about how important it is to keep doing social distancing, made fine music, etc. The peak was the music video for Mt. Wolf, I'm so in love with that band. BB was still full of "let's not take risks, Rona is a baddie, I'm social distancing from my friends, blahblah". and I really felt proud for him stating that and was considering him a gentle goof.

...and now I'm speechles. Like I spent my whole day, reading up your 2k replies and has been thinking just "what the f is going on with him? What? How did this happen?". (THE Ice cream date brang me here :)) All those threads went from "idk, is he gay?" to "stop being such a jerk, BB". So just a recap, sorry if those questions are stupid, I just... don't want to believe all this.

1. You guys are saying he is a liar. Do we actually know that he was in Montana during the pandemic? Did not cut his hair? Or anything that would prove that statement? Why would he be lying? :( It cannot be that hard to admit the truth, no? 2. Is he actually seeing that attention-seeking-hypocrite? Like for real? 3. Gets clingy when being close to much younger actresses? It really gave me the "creep" vibe.

Words can't express how sad am I cause if it. It's a bullsh!te, innit? Be sad over a man who you don't even consider your idol, who does not you actually exists. I just feel so hurt as I'm having a hard time with Rona vol. 2 and this.... covidot is being an effin hypocrat. I'm not a fangirl, I'm a mate in his early twenties, but I still thought he was kinda better than all this.

1. He was in London at Xmas and then went to Montana for NY with JH, Nina Dobrev and Shaun White. He’s on ND’s dog sledding video in the background and she wasn’t very quick to ‘sticker’ him out. We thought maybe on purpose cos they think he’s an arse with his ‘no photos’ rule. There’s also a shot of him in a restaurant in Montana with them. So - sorry - yes he was there. He’s been relentlessly detagging and removing posts about both. The fact that’s he’s hanging out with these selfish, self-obsessed, air-headed Covid-travelling idiots is a horrible thought to me.

2. The thing is, we don’t know. All his little songs last year seemed to have hidden messages which fit in with JH and her soon-to-be ex husband’s journey through their marriage breakdown. There was a blind item which said she’d originally been using BB to make the husband jealous but they are now together full time. They did the two pap walks and some feel this is only a publicity-led thing but I’m really not sure (I’d love it to be the case). Speculation ensues that JH was using him all the time even at NY due to her ex having a new gf already and spent time in Iceland with her in Dec, so JH wheels out BB to give the finger to the ex. Look Brooks - I’ve got someone too. And also that she might’ve kicked him to the curb due to losing 100k+ followers after all this broke. Cue ‘Where is the Love?’ song cover. The jury is out but I sincerely hope this relationship was either never really real or if it was, that it’s been firmly kicked into touch. But he’s back to liking her IG posts. Who knows what’s going on?!!

3. What was this point related to? Let us know and we’ll try to answer.

So yes, we’re all a bit pissed off about him over here.

I’d say that most everyone here has been a Ben fan for 10+ years; I know I have. While I may have often mocked and hated his projects and professional choices, I always thought pretty highly of him personally. I assumed he was hiding a Secret Gay Life, but I could understand why he’d do that. But to all of a sudden get confirmation that:

1. he’s straight (or much more on the straight side of bi)

2. he has HORRID taste in women

3. he’s a COVID hypocrite who refuses to acknowledge his mistakes

Well, it was all too much.

But to answer your question, yes he was in Montana when Julianne, Nina Dobrev, and Shaun White were there over New Year. There’s photographic proof. He went there directly from London, which makes it that much worse.

Is BB a liar? Yes, but his are lies of omission. He’s never said, “I was NOT in Montana!” but, just like with all of his personal life, he hides, covers up, and uses “But My Privacy!” as a shield to deflect and keep up his angelic image with his fangirls. An acknowledgement and apology would have gone a long way, but instead he just doubles-down on trying to remove the evidence.

So Ben was the first crush I've had in a long time that LOOKS amazing in almost any situation, including photos. I'm less emotionally invested in him for that reason, so this doesn't bug me as much. I mean, I liked that he was kinda dorky and silly, and that he can sing (voice wise, style wise I wish he'd get some help). Honest commentary.. The first one simply struck me as "fantasy series." I personally don't automatically have a problem with those so it was perfectly fine IMO.

This one.. the lines/deliveries/moments (especially the lines!) this trailer chose.. This one specifically felt like a YA fantasy series. It was melodramatic. Nothing at all subtle or particularly compelling this time around. This one felt like they're were just trying too damn hard.

Though of course, we do get "the villain wears a billowing long black cloak as he stares off into the distance" as the trailer's thumbnail to clearly make up for all that, so. . . .

The movie/tv business does tend to be a bit superficial, just by the way it operates. A cast are thrown together for weeks or months, they may or may not know a person or two from other projects, they form a close little clique with group,chats and the like. Filming wraps, the cast move on to other things (or shill products during covid-times) then get back together briefly for press and premiere, then off they go again. If there’s a sequel or another series, the process will all start again. If not, they may never cross paths again. Or maybe very occasionally at awards ceremonies (ahem) or suchlike and then it’s all “Lovie! Darling! Sweetie! Mwah-mwah!” on the red carpet.

So it doesn’t engender long-term friendships, unless both parties put in the effort. And it would seem that in a lot of cases, BB doesn’t put in that effort. Jimmi seems to be a bit of an exception, and I know he likes JB and JM’s tweets & posts occasionally.

Now to be clear, Rayana was not a minor, and Ben did nothing illegal if she ever posed for him (and she did nothing AT ALL wrong either, that's not my point). For me, this is about the perceived mentality. Now I *promise* you this is true, but Chris D'Elia ALWAYS 'creeped' out my instincts. R444 As to the first part, *THAT* is the PROBLEM. Honestly ask yourselves.. what, fundamentally, is the point of social climbing? What do you achieve if you succeed? The only thing you get that differentiates you from everyone else lower than you is increased Money, Power and Fame. Great, now what? What's the point of having those things? They get you anything and everything you want. And that includes immunity. You can do all the naughty (for *some*, even illegal) things you want, and with enough money/power you will be above reproach. You can have all the hot young sex you want. He's always had janky lower teeth. I actually kinda liked that his teeth aren't perfect, as long as they aren't too janky. The lower ones are fine because they are barely seen anyway.

Funny thing is, there were two (random) fanart posts yesterday that were actually really good (captured an even better likeness than Cindy's imo, but whatever..) that he didn't like (though they were worthy). But he made sure to notice and like BBG's. Cause otherwise we're to believe he isn't religiously checking all his IG tags for trolls? Hence, my sucking up comment.
