Or is that just an American thing.
Do people in the southern hemisphere gesture up when referring to God or heaven

Guess which finger I'm gesturing with OP?
by Anonymous | reply 1 | March 16, 2021 4:46 AM |
why did that question provoke you r1?
by Anonymous | reply 2 | March 16, 2021 4:50 AM |
You must be new.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | March 16, 2021 5:06 AM |
What do they do in the Muslim country you’re from OP? They do crazy shit.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | March 16, 2021 5:07 AM |
Yes, OP - but we are all standing on our heads, so it’s all good.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | March 16, 2021 7:26 AM |
You don't think there's a sky above them, OP?
by Anonymous | reply 6 | March 16, 2021 7:47 AM |
No, they don’t, OP. And, in the Southern Hemisphere, people poop out their mouths and eat with their asses.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | March 16, 2021 8:31 AM |
The question is legit.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | March 16, 2021 8:34 AM |
We aren’t obsessed with God.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | March 16, 2021 8:53 AM |
The majority of us don’t believe in god or in the existence of heaven, OP.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | March 16, 2021 9:04 AM |
R7 is right. The Banquet of the Chestnuts is proof.

Real Christians don't have to give a show to indicate that they are worshiping. We just acknowledge his presence, give thanks, ask for peace and guidance and move on. Extremist Christians are not representative of most Christians, just as extremist atheists aren't representative of most agnostics or those just unsure.

what about at award ceremonies? In the north people always look up when thanking a dead person. Do they look down in Australia?
by Anonymous | reply 13 | March 17, 2021 4:27 AM |
They can't gesture up OP, gravity is stronger in their area so they can't lift their arms much higher than their nipples. They have to drink from straws and lower their face into their plates to eat. If someone isn't willing to comb their hair they have a real rat's nest up yonder.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | March 17, 2021 4:44 AM |
They have to have magnets on their shoes, because otherwise they'd slide right off of the earth.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | March 17, 2021 7:15 AM |
R9/R10 have it right. In fact, I'd say we're generally suspicious of people who talk publicly about their belief in God/being a Christian, etc - and this includes actual religious people tend to be suspicious of it too.

r10: "The majority of us don’t believe in god or in the existence of heaven, OP. —Aussie"
Do you interpret "southern hemisphere" as "Australia"? Or do you include the large parts of South America and Africa that are in the southern hemisphere as well?
by Anonymous | reply 20 | March 17, 2021 11:55 AM |
Viewing this world this way is just as legit as the way we're used to. If I were an Aussie I would be promoting maps like this.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | March 17, 2021 12:12 PM |
I always like seeing maps with different perspectives: adjusted to show true size of countries (link); maps with, say, Portugal placed centrally and all else arranged in its orbit.
A world map generated from a personal ranking of the importance or interest the maker assigns to each country to the the designer would be great as a (probably telling) curiosity.

R16 Agreed. Aussies are constantly surprised by the dedication to Gard and churchgoing in thé US.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | March 20, 2021 3:25 AM |
OP thinks God is in the North Pole or something? I don't follow
by Anonymous | reply 24 | March 20, 2021 4:01 AM |
Upwards, but their prayers only reach as high as the Tropic of Cancer.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | March 20, 2021 4:03 AM |
Which way do their poops swirl down the drain, clockwise or counterclockwise?
by Anonymous | reply 26 | March 20, 2021 4:04 AM |
R26 Give me five minutes.
