Glenn Close bags Oscar and Razzie nods for her Hillbilly Elegy performance

I guess no one will be nominated for costumes for that film, unless it's Goodwill.

I finally caved and watched the movie. She does give an excellent performance. It is in no way worthy of a Razzie.

That said ....

The movie itself is kind of a middle finger to these rural communities. An unnecessary one.

"I got out of this shithole town and everyone there is trash, and you should think so too".

Just rubbed me the wrong way.

Maybe both? Did that ever happen; did an actor ever win both an Oscar and a Razzie for the same performance?

I thought her performance was camp, so I'm going to vote for the Razzie.

I have to admit it's the best she's looked in years.

I wish Glenn Close and Meryl Streep didn't exist in my current shared reality of this human species incarnation.
