John Kerry and his sketchy past, there's a juicy story there

The Tasteful Friends thread on the Beacon Hill townhouse made me think of John Kerry whom I've never liked or trusted. His story is fascinating but also dubious. It's no doubt so salacious that I'm surprised there's never been a juicy tell-all book or miniseries about the guy.

The one time I could not bring myself to vote was when Kerry ran for president. I was living in Boston at the time and just stayed home that day, knowing he'd easily win the state. I appreciate his politics but that's where it ends for me. Kerry has always, reportedly been the butt of jokes on Capitol Hill due in part to the faux posh intellectualism. He's essentially the Dem's version of Ted Cruz. Allegedly, the Clintons and the Obamas could not take him as a person. Kerry has always seemed like a posh-pretending grifter, using his early looks and no doubt massive cock to marry wealthy widows. He began stalking Theresa Heinz immediately after her billionaire husband and U.S. Senator John Heinz died. Poor Theresa is reportedly all but vegetative these days and I'm guessing the kids will again, eventually, go after John. They began getting mouthy about him years ago and then, reportedly, Theresa paid them off to quiet down because John has always wanted mama to buy him the Presidency. But Portuguese Theresa was never quite welcomed into the inner circles of Washinghton elite establishment after John Heinz died. (Fun fact: it was reported long ago that she had a blood hate for Hillary Clinton due to Clinton's ascendancy in politics, as Theresa was pulling out all the stops and AmEx black cards to make John a thing. It never worked and Hillary leap-frogged over John once his presidential bid flunked.) With John now firmly in control of the fortune, he's undoubtedly preparing for post-Theresa life, stashing as much cash as possible. The Heinz kids are going to dismantle him as soon as their mom dies. I fear for President Biden having that grifter snake of a man near his administration.

OP= Swiftboat veteran

by Anonymousreply 2March 15, 2021 1:47 PM

I hear he wears earrings

i hear he wears caftans!

by Anonymousreply 3March 15, 2021 1:49 PM

John Heinz was one of the last Republicans who had a shred of decency.

by Anonymousreply 4March 15, 2021 1:50 PM

I love John Kerry. I think he would have made a great president.

by Anonymousreply 5March 15, 2021 1:51 PM

[quote] using his early looks and no doubt massive cock

Please provide more details on this section.

by Anonymousreply 6March 15, 2021 1:51 PM

So what? None of that affected his actions as a public servant or elected official. Every family has conflict behind closed doors.

by Anonymousreply 7March 15, 2021 1:53 PM

I don't normally reply in this manner, OP, but as many others are prone to say on here: "Get a life." The laundry list of things you went into detail about re: Kerry are peanuts compared to most politicians. He seems relatively harmless. It was probably a mutually beneficial relationship between him and Teresa. He would've been a stupendous president compared to Trump.

by Anonymousreply 8March 15, 2021 1:58 PM

Remember when press was following him around on a “day off” and he went into a sporting goods store and bought a jockstrap?

by Anonymousreply 9March 15, 2021 2:08 PM

His character has no effect on his actions as a public servant or elected official, r7?

Would you say the same about Trump or GW Bush?

by Anonymousreply 10March 15, 2021 2:10 PM

[quote]He's essentially the Dem's version of Ted Cruz.

This is bullshit. The man is pompous but so isn't this stupid fucking post.

by Anonymousreply 11March 15, 2021 2:12 PM

OP: “Believe me, Kerry isn’t George Washington.”

RuPaul: “Honey, George Washington wasn’t George Washington, either.”

by Anonymousreply 12March 15, 2021 2:17 PM

[quote]Remember when press was following him around on a “day off” and he went into a sporting goods store and bought a jockstrap?

Where would you prefer he bought it?

by Anonymousreply 13March 15, 2021 2:22 PM

There are stories abound of Kerry being a total ass in private, to staff and people encountered during the campaign.

I was for Bradley in 2004 then switched to Dean. Always thought Kerry as fake at playing the patrician do-gooder.

by Anonymousreply 14March 15, 2021 2:25 PM

Shame her kids weren't happy about their mom getting a good, hard dicking from a big, hard cock. I guess they didn't want to share that inheritance with him though. Funny, no one (including OP) is hearing Theresa complaining. 🍆

by Anonymousreply 15March 15, 2021 2:27 PM

I am pretty familiar with Kerry as my family has known his for years. On the good side: He is a bright, decent man with good politics. On the bad: yes, he's ridiculously ambitious. But then, he's a politician. So does that make him different than others?

By the way, he is bisexual and has had a number of affairs with men. And I do think he is, indeed, bi, not gay or straight.

My favorite quote of his, when he lost to Bush: "I can't believe I'm going to lose to someone with half my IQ."

by Anonymousreply 16March 15, 2021 2:32 PM

He creeps me out.

by Anonymousreply 17March 15, 2021 2:34 PM

I can’t speak to his cock size, but I do know secondhand that he takes incredible dumps. One of my best friends flew a chartered plane for him during the campaign. On that flight his visit to the lavatory resulted in a turd so large the toilet couldn’t flush it. He never said anything or called attention to it, but after landing he walked off the plane and it was her job to break the turd up and clear the bowl.

by Anonymousreply 18March 15, 2021 2:40 PM

According to Carly Simon, Jackie O had a crush on him

by Anonymousreply 19March 15, 2021 2:43 PM

When he ran for prez, his wife faked a sprained wrist so she wouldn't have to shake hands with the 'common' people. I wouldn't doubt he's treated like the mimbo he is within the Heinz family.

by Anonymousreply 20March 15, 2021 2:52 PM

The man has no personality whatsoever.

by Anonymousreply 21March 15, 2021 2:54 PM

He has an enormously gay face

by Anonymousreply 22March 15, 2021 3:21 PM

R22- no he has an ENORMOUSLY long face

by Anonymousreply 23March 15, 2021 3:24 PM

[quote]My favorite quote of his, when he lost to Bush: "I can't believe I'm going to lose to someone with half my IQ."

And ironically not smart enough to know that's precisely why he was destined to lose.

by Anonymousreply 24March 15, 2021 3:29 PM

John Kerry walks into a bar. Bartender says, "Hey pal, why the long face." *rim shot*

by Anonymousreply 25March 15, 2021 3:30 PM

[quote]He's essentially the Dem's version of Ted Cruz.

Troll, bye

by Anonymousreply 26March 15, 2021 3:35 PM

There's nothing to be uncovered. Kerry is Kerry. Middle class brilliant guy who went to Vietnam and brought a typewriter to write up his war hero stories. Married super rich to help his political career then did it again with T. Heinz. Managed to come thisclose to the Presidency. Nearly won the electoral college (Ohio flip would have done it) without winning the popular vote, which was close.

I think he comes across terribly on TV. Imperious, dull, and long winded. I knew he would probably lose when I watched debates with him and because it was pre-DVR, channel flipping was how you'd avoid commercials. So I watched TV with remote in hand then and would subconsciously flip the channel after 15 or 20 seconds of him talking. Had nothing to do with his politics. I hadn't even been conscious of how much I disliked listening to him but would just flip that channel without thinking. He would take 2 minutes to answer a yes or no question.

by Anonymousreply 27March 15, 2021 3:37 PM

Kerry won, that election like the one before it, was stolen.

by Anonymousreply 28March 15, 2021 3:40 PM

LOL R2! I'd totally forgotten about that. And NO! I'm no MAGA swift-boater. I said I appreciate Kerry's politics and I do.

But, he has had an interesting life. He was pretty and used those looks to famewhore himself when he got back from Vietnam. There are very public stories about when he staged throwing his Medal of Honor over the White House fence in protest, that it was a fake medal. I've not read enough to decide if that's true or not. And yes, Kerry is incredibly ambitious. That's cool. But he's also always been smug. He lives like a monarch, is chauffeured around Boston in not one but two black SUV's, (you know, like the President?). That was before he was Secretary of State and a presidential candidate. Not sure he still does that. He came from immense wealth himself, so maybe he was just trained to be obnoxious and pompous.

by Anonymousreply 29March 15, 2021 3:41 PM

[quote] Kerry is Kerry. Middle class brilliant guy who went to Vietnam and brought a typewriter to write up his war hero stories.

Really, R27? Please, tell us more about this middle class Kerry? You are aware he was born into the Forbes family, right? He grew-up in Georgetown, living in mansions with staff and servants. But go on, spin us again on how "middle class guy" he is....

by Anonymousreply 30March 15, 2021 3:43 PM

John Kerry, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Dana Bash all share the same long horse face. I can't imagine the three of them walking into a party.

by Anonymousreply 31March 15, 2021 3:43 PM

More on the bi, please R16 Boarding school stuff or more current?

by Anonymousreply 32March 15, 2021 3:44 PM

I would let him stick it in.

by Anonymousreply 33March 15, 2021 3:46 PM

I actually thought he was a great secretary of state, better than Clinton and I like the Clintons.

I think my brother saw him in an elevator in DC. I don't know if my brother gave him a thumbs up or just smiled, but I believe he said Kerry nodded or somehow acknowledged him in a friendly manner. I'll have to ask my brother again.

by Anonymousreply 34March 15, 2021 3:51 PM

Stick it in what, R33?

by Anonymousreply 35March 15, 2021 3:52 PM

R34 For sure, ask your brother again. We'll wait here...

by Anonymousreply 36March 15, 2021 3:53 PM

r1, this is about John Kerry, not Heinz.

by Anonymousreply 37March 15, 2021 3:53 PM

Pretended to eat fast food for the cameras but had a catered steak dinner when he returned to the bus with his entourage.

by Anonymousreply 38March 15, 2021 3:55 PM

Did I miss something - is Theresa dying or unconscious?

by Anonymousreply 39March 15, 2021 3:56 PM

"There are very public stories about when he staged throwing his Medal of Honor over the White House fence in protest, that it was a fake medal."

Not a fake medal . . . someone else's Purple Heart, not his.

by Anonymousreply 40March 15, 2021 3:56 PM

Kerry once threw a hissy fit at The Chanticleer on Nantucket because they did not have champagne butter.

[quote]I think he comes across terribly on TV.

He comes across terribly in person too; I remember going to a rally in NC. He was several hours late & when he got there, he & Teresa just....droned..on...and...on...ZZZZZ. John Edwards, sensing that the crowd was antsy & they couldn't hear what Kerry was saying, tried to rally the crowd & get John to speak up - but to no avail. I wasn't surprised he lost. It's kind of too bad Edwards was such an empty suit because he was a very good campaigner.

The stories about him being terrible to staff have been around for awhile; my guess is that Joe knows the score & makes him useful where possible. I can totally see Hilary hating his guts!

by Anonymousreply 43March 15, 2021 4:12 PM

[quote] But Portuguese Theresa was never quite welcomed into the inner circles of Washinghton elite establishment after John Heinz died.

Theresa actually from Mozambique, a Portuguese-speaking country in Southern Africa. A literal African American.

by Anonymousreply 44March 15, 2021 4:21 PM

Sorry R36, I was just trying to show that I have a generally good impression of Kerry.

by Anonymousreply 45March 15, 2021 4:57 PM

[quote] The Tasteful Friends thread on the Beacon Hill townhouse made me think of John Kerry whom I've never liked or trusted.

How odd that you can trust or not trust someone based solely on what other people say about him and never having met him yourself.

He was running for President, not your friend.

by Anonymousreply 46March 15, 2021 5:00 PM

Big guy

So So presence

r46, were you asleep all year in 2000 (and '04) when the media told us over and over again that we should vote for whichever candidate we'd feel more comfortable going out for a beer with?

by Anonymousreply 48March 15, 2021 5:13 PM

OP, I mean this sincerely. Take your speculative shit and poor spelling somewhere else.

Why is it that Dems always have to apologize for being wealthy and not GOPers?

by Anonymousreply 56March 15, 2021 5:55 PM

From R51's link: "People just don't understand the moral danger we're in from this election. You need to know the real dirt about John Kerry and his family, before you vote."

Instead we got GWB, the second worst president in recent memory.

by Anonymousreply 57March 15, 2021 5:57 PM

[quote] were you asleep all year in 2000 (and '04) when the media told us over and over again that we should vote for whichever candidate we'd feel more comfortable going out for a beer with?

Oh dear.

by Anonymousreply 60March 15, 2021 6:19 PM

A woman I worked with called him “a dog” when I said he was good-looking. I don’t know if she meant he was ugly or a slut. She walked away after making that pronouncement, while I was still puzzling that out, so I didn’t get to ask.

by Anonymousreply 61March 15, 2021 6:40 PM

Now there’s a good example of “lantern jaw”.

by Anonymousreply 62March 15, 2021 6:41 PM

If you find Beto hot then you probably find a young John Kerry hot. I think they’re both meh, not ugly but certainly not hot, they have that long face, hound dog look that looks dorky instead of handsome.

Dems in 2004 should’ve gone with Howard Dean. A fiscal conservative who supported universal healthcare. Interestingly enough, Dean’s background is as patrician WASP as GW Bush’s, though not as wealthy as the Bushes. Dean owned up to his background, I don’t remember him ever apologizing for it. Even Dean’s mother at that time said they couldn’t keep up with the Bushes despite being in the same social class and running in same circles.

by Anonymousreply 69March 15, 2021 9:22 PM

R67 speaking of oddball wives....Beto’s (rich) but meek wife is more than odd.

by Anonymousreply 70March 15, 2021 9:24 PM

R69, Given the opportunity, a vast majority of DLers would jump at the chance to have sex with Beto.

Can't say the same about John Forbes Kerry.

by Anonymousreply 71March 15, 2021 9:46 PM

R67, his oddball wife is a brilliant doctor. She just wasn’t the Laura Bush meek type.

by Anonymousreply 72March 15, 2021 10:03 PM

R71 true true, but I think mainly bottoms of a certain age. Then we’ve got Pete fans.

by Anonymousreply 73March 15, 2021 10:04 PM

I stand corrected for referring to his upbringing as middle class. I thought i had read he married rich for his political career and a lot of his upper crust attitude was a facade, but it appears to be authentic. Actually lowers my opinion of him.

by Anonymousreply 74March 15, 2021 10:10 PM

Teresa is world class boozer.

by Anonymousreply 77March 16, 2021 1:49 AM

I heard it years ago in Boston and later from a press photographer assigned to the Kerry campaign plane. He said she was only interesting when she was drunk, but that was 80% of the time.

by Anonymousreply 78March 16, 2021 1:58 AM

How has Teresa never become a DL icon?

Two hot powerful husbands, those Heinz sons and a taste for a noon cocktail?
