It makes no sense to give Billie Record of the Year when her song underperformed and only peaked at #8. I know that commercial success isn't the main thing with the Grammys, but it should be with record of the year. It's an award for the song that was artistically good, but also had a big cultural impact, which Billie's song most definitely did not.

They're not doing Billie any favors by giving her dozens of Grammys while she's still a teenager. She has nowhere to go from here but down.

I love Harry Styles. However, I love The song “Adore You” much better than the one he sang. Never heard of the Black Pumas but really liked them. The Memoriam was great, I hate to be the one to say it, but music was better then. I liked Bruno and Anderson Paak. As someone else mentioned, not into Miranda Lambert but she has a really good voice.

What you characterize as progress is a reminder to some of things that were stolen and is particularly ironic when talking about the music industry.

We can all see and hear the artist's work so, no it doesn't suddenly make the awards seem like charity or invalidate the accomplishment.
