I'm doing a website myself using Joomla. All is well except I'm trying to make a welcome video pop-up when you enter the site. I'm using JCE Mediabox 2 and I activated the "autoplay" option in the popup settings. When I test it, the popup box happens but the page is blank. If I right-click it then the options for the video appears and I have to manually play it. What can I do (add a code ?) to make it auto play?

OP, I haven't played around with Joomla, but it has what looks like a pretty active forum. You're more likely to get help there than on DL

A website? Is that like little buttons and lights?
Did I help?

Make frequent use of the blink tag.

Joomla OP? Oh dear...
Is it too late to use WordPress as the CMS?

I thought all web browsers now block videos from auto-play and ad-blockers even block them entirely. It's a hideous function which should be always deactivated.

Do you want naked penises to dance around on your site welcome page? Because if you don't, I'm afraid we can't help you.

No one, and I mean no one, wants an autoplay video to pop up when they click a link.

It's just a short welcome message that's like 4 seconds long. And no sound either

OP here, I considered what r6 said and so I converted the very short and painless video into a gif. and uploaded that instead. It works. Thank all for your semi-interest in the topic.
