Why would she dump a full scholarship to Stanford to go to NYU and be a stalker to Ben? Stanford and NYU are not even in the same tier.

I loved seasons 1 and 2. 3 was ok. 4 sucked.

Amy Jo Johnson’s departure was felt during seasons 3 and 4.

Scott Speedman as Ben was so hot guy who will fuck you and dump you. But the other Scott has aged really well.

I loved this show, it has such a great 90s NYC nostalgia vibe. Soho will never feel that way again. Maybe it never did, but I was a kid going to flea markets off Broadway then and it felt like I lived in that world.

R12 the show captured the sweeter side of NYC well. But missed so much more.

I saw that it's on Disney Plus. Never watched Felicity but i remember the drama over Keri's haircut. I didn’t realize what a big deal that was for other actresses having to get permission before changing their hairstyle.

Thanks for the heads up, op. I LOVED the first season, which premiered during my senior year of high school, and it inspired me to move far away from home at 18. The show somewhat filled the void left by the premature cancellation of My So-Called Life, which it was undoubtedly inspired by. Loved season two, too, but I stopped watching after that.

Amy Jo Johnson, along with the luminous Neve Campbell, are considered some of Hollywood’s most accomplished sweater actresses of all time.

Remember when Madonna was used in the promo for the end of season one, the way the voice over says “finale” with a very pronounced accent mark is strange.

R20 “The Power of Goodbye” was used for most of the show’s promo before and after its premiere. I remember it vividly. It’s what made me buy “Ray of Light” and soon after, I fell in love with the album.

Three episodes in and this should really be called The Mortification of Felicity Porter, as each week she is ultimately humiliated on an extreme level. Are we sure this wasn’t a Joss Whedon show and he hated his main character?

I LOVED Felicity. And I was still young and naive and pre-9/11 NYC was delightful and scary and still the place to be. (Don't you miss "appointment viewing"--the new weekly episodes, recapping the next day with friends, "did you see what she did?")

It was a great ensemble cast as well. A few of those people seem to have vanished off the face of the earth.

R23 I used to LOVE that song. In fact, the Felicity soundtrack was excellent. The use of “Bridge Over Troubled Water” during the Thanksgiving episode still gives me goosebumps.

So the sad white girls tie themselves into pretzels for the boys they like, but the angry confident Black girl treats men like shit, but gets them wrapped around her finger?

My favorite line from the series can from Javier, the gay manager at Dean and DeLucca. It's a line that would go over the heads of anyone who didn't come of age in the late 70s/early 80s.

Javiar was commenting about the less than wholesome girl that Noel ran off with briefly.

Javier said, "She had a police record. And I don't mean Zenyatta Mondatta."

Noel was better. Sweet, sexy, trip to Europe, doesn't care if you barf on him. Where are the flaws?

Ben was only hot to you because he seemed like the guy who would let you suck him off after a few beers.

Did the critics really rave about this show that much? Seems hard to imagine now, in the days of saturation prestige TV.

Loved the series finale post-credit clip compilation of the cast members saying “heh”—their main form of greeting each other.

I don’t remember it that clearly, though I was a huge fan. What I remember is that it was the rare show that stayed solid throughout its run. However, the last episodes were horrendous. I never understood how they planned such dreck as an ending.

R49 they didn't. The network ordered more episodes at the last minute and JJ pulled time travel out of his ass. Shades of things to come.

My RA (who was in the apartment next door) was too busy doing her school work and fucking her boyfriend to notice any of us. Worked out well, especially when we had jelly shots in the fridge.

R50 there are basically two endings. The normal one with the graduation, and the one where Ben (obviously) cheats a few months later and Felicity realizes that (duh) Noel was the better man.

Sorry but Ben sucks ass.

The writing of the show was best in the first season. Was there a change in staff?
