It’s shit music for gays. No wonder you like it op. You big shit eater!

by Anonymousreply 3March 6, 2021 10:49 PM

R3 why are you on a gay site if you're homophobic? In denial I guess

by Anonymousreply 4March 6, 2021 11:13 PM

Great 80s song. I don’t remember anyone thinking it was particularly silly at the time.

by Anonymousreply 5March 6, 2021 11:23 PM

Hated it! Everyone left the dance floor if a tasteless DJ tried to sully a venue with this basura.

by Anonymousreply 6March 6, 2021 11:44 PM

If you're in the mood for some more 80s Oh-Oh-Ohs, may I suggest...

"Baltimora" always sounded like Divine's neighborhood drag queen friend.

by Anonymousreply 8March 7, 2021 12:29 AM

Bratgays, tell me why I shouldn’t kick you in the cunt for condescendingly referring to others as “eldergays?”

Why is a 55-year-old calling others “elder?”

by Anonymousreply 9March 7, 2021 12:44 AM

I miss the 80s

Baltimora was a Milli Vanilli type of project. Session men provided the music and vocals and the Irish frontman did the gurning and lip synching on TV shows. I remember he died of AIDS in the 90s.

by Anonymousreply 17March 7, 2021 1:44 AM

R17 that's sad

by Anonymousreply 18March 9, 2021 8:35 PM

He was no LaTour. Or Limahl. Or Paul Lekakis.

by Anonymousreply 19March 14, 2021 10:46 PM

WEHT Limahl?

by Anonymousreply 20March 14, 2021 10:49 PM

In my school they used to sing Hoo o oa oa oa Homo!

by Anonymousreply 21March 14, 2021 10:50 PM

[quote]Hated it! Everyone left the dance floor if a tasteless DJ tried to sully a venue with this basura.

In straight dance clubs, because Disco was hated as was New Wave, it all seemed gay and open expressions of homophobia was the norm. Gays loved this song every time it was played in dance clubs.

by Anonymousreply 22March 14, 2021 10:55 PM

R22 In Chicago we gays deserted the dancefloor when this came on

by Anonymousreply 23March 14, 2021 10:58 PM

Chicago is not the center of gay trends R23. NY or LA are.

by Anonymousreply 24March 14, 2021 11:07 PM

Plus Chicago has a huge black population and we all know how homophobic that culture is, especially back then.

by Anonymousreply 25March 14, 2021 11:07 PM

Straight dance clubs are homophobic?! Homophobic guys don't go dancing or like dance music

by Anonymousreply 26March 14, 2021 11:10 PM

Yeah Chicago gay bars were super racist then. It was awful. Not saying it was an avant garde of gay culture just that not "all" gays liked the song.

by Anonymousreply 27March 14, 2021 11:13 PM

R26, yes, straight dance clubs were very homophobic.

Need proof? Next time you go to a straight dance club, ask them to play “I’m Coming Out” and see the reactions.

[quote]WEHT Limahl?

I think Limahl could actually sing.

by Anonymousreply 29March 15, 2021 12:02 AM

Limahl became a tragic looking eldergay. Probably living in Essex.

I'd hate to think what Baltimora looks like today.

by Anonymousreply 32March 15, 2021 3:42 AM

Baltimora died from AIDS

by Anonymousreply 33March 15, 2021 3:47 AM

He was BURIED with a bad hairdo.
