Question for Diabetics

Has anyone had success taking Berberine to control blood sugar?

by Anonymousreply 4March 6, 2021 5:54 PM

Are you Type 1, or Type 2? If the latter just cut back on the added sugar. It means when you shop you have to read ingredients though. You'd be surprised what items have added sugar. Just simple condiments like ketchup have added sugar. Sure you can find brands that don't have it added and even Heinz is getting in on that act. This all started for me when the spouse was diagnosed with Type II diabetes. Managed to reverse it without drugs.

Yes it has helped me. I used to take metformin three times a day. Now I take it once a day and berberine twice a day. I am pretty thin already but have cut up more with the berberine added. Not sure why. Maybe metformin was boating me.
