I"m thinking Rourke is one of those people who had a highly inflated opinion on his own boxing skills. Hence, his face being what it is now. I wouldn't be surprised if he was a heavy drinker too. I actually found him very attractive in his 80s movies.

That face is actually pretty normal for Mickey Rourke.

The killer is the eyelid lift. That never, ever, looks natural on men.

He’s pretty much looked like that for a long time. Aging and the continuing impulse to fuck up his face more with ongoing procedures just makes it worse. The man seriously needs an intervention. You like a fun house mirror already dude don’t make it any worse.

He looks so horrible. If only he had kept his natural face he’d look fine. Maybe weathered and beat up but like a human.

I recently watched "Nine and a Half Weeks", that movie he did with Kim Basinger. It was as ridiculous as I knew it would be. But I was struck at how hot and sexy he was. I recently saw "Diner", too. Wow, he was really something. And talented, too. But it's obvious from this behavior over the years that he was/is a very mentally disturbed person. I think the plastic surgery was part boxer injuries and part vanity. The boxing injuries...what actor would take up boxing? An actor's face is VERY important; why do something to destroy it? Like I said, I think serious mental illness is what really fucked him up. I'm really kind of surprised that he's still alive.

We're certain it's not just some lesbian trucker with a meth problem?
by Anonymous | reply 8 | February 28, 2021 8:39 PM |
Is he transitioning?

I liked him in the 1980s. He wasn't a major actor, but he was consistently good. He was nice-looking, too. People who say 'Oh he was so gorgeous back then' are exaggerating. He was a nice-looking - but not incredibly hot - guy. In my view, that makes men even more attractive. It's such a shame that he went insane with the surgery.

Sugar Ray Leonard and Oscar de la Hoya were, you know, ACTUAL boxers and they’re both still handsome after long careers in the ring.

Miss Rourke has NEVER looked better!

If I looked like this at one time, I'd cry every morning I looked in the mirror if I looked like that now.

R11, your post reminded me of De La Hoya's failed efforts at becoming a singer....and him getting caught in drag.

Mickey got the face he deserved. He was a monster to Carre Otis

I don’t think I would leave my house. Hide in the Hollywood hills.

Can’t even keep his pants on. Maybe a mumu?

R1 Everyone found him attractive then. Can you not tell he’s mitigated himself with surgery? You comment here and it sounds like you don’t know what’s what.

I actually thought that the OPs pic was Frances Mcdormond in Three Billboards

Good God, what a vile looking creature. I'm shocked an eatery in Beverly Hills would allow him to come in looking like that.

I think Mickey would be a perfect choice for the co-lead with Cher in the follow-up to DL cinema favorite Mask (1985). Mickey as Rocky Dennis would bring a certain "gravitas" to the role. Bonus: no make-up needed.

Are they resurrecting the old '60s TV show "Hazel"? If no, why not yes and ask him to audition for Shirley Booth's role??

That's not what I call "mitigated".

[quote] He was a nice-looking - but not incredibly hot - guy
I think what made him hot for me was his attitude combined with his (good but not great) face.

He received surgical procedures at a discounted rate.
Don't do this.
Pay professionals their worth.
See a specialist for your procedures.

Where did he go Mexico? Used to be one of the most handsome men in Hollywood. Same with Charlie Sheen. Now when I see them on the street I think I should give them a dollar.

He probably had one face job that was not good and further corrective surgeries made it progressively worse . That's what I think
