It's all out in the open.

Where'd they find this tone deaf twat? Was Kristy Swanson busy?
by Anonymous | reply 6 | February 28, 2021 6:02 PM |
Aside from her excruciatingly off-pitch singing, she seems to have a Brit accent. WTF?????
by Anonymous | reply 7 | February 28, 2021 6:05 PM |
I would kneel (and hold my ears) during this mess.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | February 28, 2021 6:15 PM |
Kinda pitchy, dogg.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | February 28, 2021 6:16 PM |
I wasn’t expecting a lot, but that was terrible. I stopped listening at “and the rocket’s red glare”
by Anonymous | reply 10 | February 28, 2021 6:17 PM |
Wasn’t Taylor Dayne available?
by Anonymous | reply 11 | February 28, 2021 6:18 PM |
That was deafening.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | February 28, 2021 6:21 PM |
Waaaaay too pitchy. Judge Jackson is on-point. I'm a "no."

by Anonymous | reply 17 | February 28, 2021 6:30 PM |
Roseanne could have done it better
by Anonymous | reply 18 | February 28, 2021 6:31 PM |
The Star-Spangled Banner is a notoriously difficult song to sing. It spans so many octaves it is hard if not impossible for most individuals to reach all the notes, not to mention staying in key A Capella. Not to mention the subject matter, though significant due to it's historical reference, truly ignores many of the basic principles, that most *Patriots* love to brag about: Liberty, Democracy, Freedom, etc.
America the Beautiful, would have been a much better choice as an Anthem: not only is it more accessible to the average person in ease of being sung, it's generally speaking, truly a more pleasant melody with at least equally *symbolically* relatable terms.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | February 28, 2021 6:31 PM |
Well, I was glad to hear it.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | February 28, 2021 6:33 PM |
I have never heard something so offensive in all my life! I'll be waiting for this bitch in the parking lot.
Great minds, R20. I finished commenting when yours popped up!

Tell us something we Americans don't already know, Professor R19.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | February 28, 2021 6:36 PM |
Definitely the daughter of some major donor.
Bet you $10 the sista was saying “Oh no, girl. You do YOU”....before she hightailed it out of there.

I don't think there's anything more pathetic than token minorities showing up to this Neo-Nazi rally. They're the Jackson character in Django Unchained.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | February 28, 2021 6:42 PM |
I stole this comment but that rendition of the national anthem is what you get when your political party doesn't support funding the arts.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | February 28, 2021 6:44 PM |
atrocious.
I'm a musician dad my whole Facebook feed if filled up with comment about how rock bottom terrible this is

R19 I guess we could always get the Canadians to sing it for us:

Fake patriotism; fake morality; fake religion.
They might have been able to pull this shit off 20 years ago, but the world at large has painfully aware of the Republicans bullshit piety and sanctimony.
If you want to be the party of morality, you got to get rid of Donald Trump, attempted murderer, and dirtbags like Becky (grab 'em by the balls) and Jerry Falwell.

They couldn't get someone more talented and high profile, like, Cara Dune freshly fired from Disney's The Mandalorian?
And you can bet that Kimberly Guilfoyle would've ripped her top off for the grand finale and received a standing ovation.

Kimberly Guilfoyle would've had glasses shattering throughout the room.

That’s how it sounds in the key of Q.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | February 28, 2021 7:19 PM |
Poor thing should never sing acapella. She must have changed the key 8 times before she was done.
Where's Simon Cowell when you need him?

When you ostracize the smart gays, you're left with the talentless ones to put together the floor shows...

I didn't think it was that bad. At first.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | February 28, 2021 7:34 PM |
This seems to be her Insta. "𝐿𝑖𝑘𝑒 𝑎 𝑠𝑢𝑛𝑓𝑙𝑜𝑤𝑒𝑟, 𝐼 𝑦𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑛 𝑡𝑜 𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑛 𝑚𝑦 𝑓𝑎𝑐𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑑𝑎𝑤𝑛 𝐼 𝑎𝑚 𝑤𝑎𝑖𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑑𝑎𝑦". Oh, and her middle name is "Madison" except they spelt it wrong, there's no "y" in there anywhere.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | February 28, 2021 7:34 PM |
Looks AND talent!
by Anonymous | reply 41 | February 28, 2021 7:41 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 42 | February 28, 2021 7:41 PM |
Not only does this happen when you defund the arts, but also alienate the gays who, out of spite, refuse to take jobs like event manager or musical performer for such a convention.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | February 28, 2021 7:44 PM |
Oh my God the link on her Instagram profile to her "art" page:
by Anonymous | reply 45 | February 28, 2021 7:46 PM |
Conservatives proving once again that they're the unprofessional party. Money talks, & I bet she's the daughter of some megadonor.

Does she share a voice teacher with Miss Lake Dardanelle?
by Anonymous | reply 48 | February 28, 2021 7:53 PM |
[quote]Not only does this happen when you defund the arts, but also alienate the gays who, out of spite, refuse to take jobs like event manager or musical performer for such a convention.
I think that's actually a more accurate statement. The comment about Repugs defunding the arts was funny, but honestly, I don't think better arts education could have taught this young woman to stay on pitch while singing a cappella :-(
by Anonymous | reply 50 | February 28, 2021 7:56 PM |
It started out okay, but it didn't end that way

SNL, start your engines.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | February 28, 2021 8:04 PM |
Ok so is she wearing white Go Go boots? Or white anklets and Mary Janes?
by Anonymous | reply 55 | February 28, 2021 8:14 PM |
Based on her "art" at R45's link, she could be the special needs child of a megadonor, but instead of the Down syndrome kid who gets to run for a touchdown, she gets to sing the anthem for a roomful of special needs adults.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | February 28, 2021 8:20 PM |
At LEAST ****FOUR**** seismic shifts in pitch/key in the course of the first 90 seconds. And that bellowing . . . is she trying to be soulful or somehing!?
by Anonymous | reply 57 | February 28, 2021 8:22 PM |
I had to turn it off after 20 seconds. I have perfect pitch, so it was actually painful to listen to her.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | February 28, 2021 8:30 PM |
Oh Goodness.
If she was making this a tribute to me, she couldn’t find the Key. I heard a lot of bombs bursting in air. But then she finished.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | February 28, 2021 8:32 PM |
Give her a break. How familiar do you expect Putin’s granddaughter to be with our National Anthem?
by Anonymous | reply 60 | February 28, 2021 8:40 PM |
That was awful!.
by Anonymous | reply 62 | February 28, 2021 9:03 PM |
OMFG
That glass-breaking rendition is just as warped and off-key as people who describe themselves as "conservative" voters today.

LMFAO Quality Republican Entertainment.

by Anonymous | reply 66 | March 1, 2021 3:27 AM |
Did Sitler Madison struggle up on those kindling branch legs with his walker to properly convey respect for the anthem or did he just sit this one out as usual?
by Anonymous | reply 67 | March 1, 2021 3:39 AM |
Be funny if she was pre-op trans and slowly stripped.
by Anonymous | reply 68 | March 1, 2021 3:46 AM |

She can’t find her keys.
by Anonymous | reply 71 | March 3, 2021 4:34 AM |
I thought her singing was bad, then I saw her "art" . Since that bitch could crawl shes been told that she is the most gifted, talented, smartest, most special princess ever . Sadly, she believed it. How else to explain humiliating oneself in front of the entire planet ?
by Anonymous | reply 72 | March 3, 2021 4:48 AM |
[quote] The Star-Spangled Banner is a notoriously difficult song to sing. It spans so many octaves . . .
R19 - It actually encompasses a range of only one-and-a-half octaves. The reason people screw it up is that they start singing it in a key that ends up being too high for their vocal range.
by Anonymous | reply 73 | March 3, 2021 4:54 AM |
No key left behind
by Anonymous | reply 74 | March 3, 2021 4:59 AM |
There are 24 possible keys, so I can understand her not wanting to limit herself to just one.
Did she not sing "Oh say, can you HEAR" instead of SEE?
by Anonymous | reply 75 | March 3, 2021 4:59 AM |
Sounds like she's having a stroke (hopefully).
by Anonymous | reply 76 | March 3, 2021 5:01 AM |
Her name is Sailor Sabol (I'm not making this up) and she's a University of Central Florida freshman and, of course, a member of the school's College Republican group. And the President of the Florence Foster Jenkins Club.
by Anonymous | reply 77 | March 3, 2021 5:21 AM |
Her parents ruined her. I’m sure she was a lovely child before they indoctrinated her.
Sure she resisted at first, but in that isolated world surrounded by blaring propaganda and false idols, she never stood a chance.
by Anonymous | reply 78 | March 3, 2021 5:37 AM |
From the perspective of a professional musician, I can say that that was unequivocally abysmal. But the creative ways that she's being trolled online by musicians are priceless and actually increase my respect for my colleagues. Linking a truly amazing harmonization below that tries to make harmonic sense of the bizarre twists and turns that she took in singing the anthem. And almost -ALMOST- make them seem deliberate artistic choices instead of the result of a tone deaf singer that has been misled her entire life into thinking that she can sing.
by Anonymous | reply 79 | March 3, 2021 6:12 AM |
Sailor is not just a mediocre singer, she is a low IQ deplorable.
She ranted about Disney getting rid of the racist "Songs of the South" characters on the ride Splash Mountain:
"The most disgusting decision, and I'm only being partially sarcastic, is that they're redoing Splash Mountain," she said in the video titled 'Destroying Splash Mountain = Destroying America (a rant)'. "I got really really really triggered about this yesterday [...] It really shows that nothing is safe. It's symbolic of America as a whole."
"Like Splash Mountain, even though they got rid of Song of the South, even though they said 'You know what, we don't support the ideas of Song of the South, but the ride is still fundamentally good,' that's not good enough," she continued. "We have to redo Splash Mountain. We have to start all over, we have to start all over with America, we have to change our history, we have to change our statues, we need to change everything, we need to change all the road signs. We don't."
by Anonymous | reply 80 | March 3, 2021 6:54 AM |
Oh! That made me tear up. So beautiful! God Bless America!
by Anonymous | reply 81 | March 3, 2021 10:10 AM |
I think she would've been more successful if she added the theme of Captain Scarlett into the mix (shouting CAPTAIN SCARLETT! at random moments during the anthem) and doing some shimmy dance moves to invisible music.
by Anonymous | reply 82 | March 3, 2021 10:26 AM |
Lol, r79.
almost saved that mess.
by Anonymous | reply 83 | March 3, 2021 10:33 AM |

by Anonymous | reply 85 | March 3, 2021 6:07 PM |
" Show us your tits!"
by Anonymous | reply 89 | March 3, 2021 8:03 PM |
I don't know why she's gotten such criticism. She's right on key.... all seven keys.
R19 And your point? The fact that it's not an easy melody to sing explains why this singer did worse than the last 3,478,925 versions we've heard?
by Anonymous | reply 90 | March 3, 2021 8:06 PM |
BUMP
by Anonymous | reply 91 | March 5, 2021 3:38 AM |
Every one of my deeply conservative, Catholic, Republican in-laws fancies him- or herself a singer, volunteering at Mass, weddings, etc. None of 'em could carry a tune in a bucket. I won firsts for solos throughout high school, yet I say nothingI blame the Church myself. such egregious oversights don't seem to happen amongst Protestants; hell, they'll go out and hire a singer. That woman must've shifted keys seven or eight times.
by Anonymous | reply 92 | March 5, 2021 5:44 AM |
...and people who write "her parents ruined her" are actually right on. It's genetic so they probably couldn't tell she went off key like a drunk trying to stay on the sidewalk. No one ever criticized her, and she never was taught to listen to herself. Altho in her case it wouldn't do much good. She can tell music goes up and down and that's it.
by Anonymous | reply 93 | March 5, 2021 5:53 AM |
She repeatedly wanders off-pitch, apparently oblivious that approximate doesn’t cut it with music. She thinks it’s enough to just belt it out lustily, that style and gusto will cover other imprecisions. She probably thinks she’s on the verge of being the next American Idol.
by Anonymous | reply 94 | March 5, 2021 7:00 AM |
