I haven't had one in years, but I loved them as a kid (I also liked the Butterfinger BBs—anyone remember those?). I saw one today at the grocery store and bought one, but was disappointed to find that they taste complete different. I don't know if I'd say they ruined them necessarily, but they are not nearly as good as they once were. Something is off with the peanut filling.

They made a big deal a couple of years ago about how they are "New, BETTER Butterfinger bars"... I haven't tried them at all since they claimed to have changed them, though, so I cannot comment.

I used to love the commercials where strangers bump into each other and have the happy accident of dipping their finger in the other’s butter and accidentally discovering the taste of Butterfingers.

I never really liked Butterfingers but back in the 90s Amy’s Ice Cream (a chain out of Austin, TX) sold pints at the grocery store and my favorite was the vanilla with crushed Butterfingers. That stuff was like crack.

Heath bars were the only candy I liked. When Hershey bought the company they ruined the recipe.
