Awesome. So there'll be 50 mystery boxes and his legendary lens flares. How many fucking Supermans have there been in the last 40 years? Jesus.

So this will be Steel (Calvin Ellis), not Superman (Clark Kent). It’s a completely separate story so you can’t be calling it Superman. Just like a movie featuring one of the black Amazons on Paradise Island can’t be called Wonder Woman.

They needed a major black superhero after they fucked up Cyborg.

Especially if Lois Lane is played by a white actress.

Every single character from now on should always be a black trans. Only way to be fair. LOL. Of course no one would go to see it.

Calvin Ellis is not Steel, he’s the Superman of another Earth.
I just hope Coates turns out to be a better screenwriter than he is a comics writer.

Look at the Jewish males of Hollywood like JJ, bending over backwards to seem inclusive while they control everything.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | May 6, 2021 2:25 AM |
It is all part of white extinguishment. Where I live commercials are 85% black people and they are only 1% of the population here! Seriously fucked up agenda.

BLM became white erasure. And everyone's rolling over like a dog.

R20 It can mess up a wide angle shot Rose.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | May 6, 2021 3:37 AM |
Who says it messes it up? I’ve always thought it looks beautiful. Part of the cinematic experience.

How many times are they going to kill that franchise?

If Lo'is is not played by a Trans Woman of Color with a prostitution origin story it will be LITERAL VIOLENCE!

Lens flares are a sign of being a hack and a terrible film maker. Nobody w a brain would ever add lens flares to anything.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | May 6, 2021 4:01 AM |
No one makes films anymore anyway. They shoot on digital cameras. They don’t deserve to be called films, especially CGI superhero nonsense.
Lens flares appear throughout classic cinema; they’re not *added*, they were just unavoidable. There are plenty of other things that ruin movies far more easily than lens flares.

[quote] Lens flares are a great way to ground a shot in reality—particularly ones that incorporate multiple digital elements. The deliberate use of a visual ‘flaw’ like a lens flare means that the viewer associates the shot with a real-life scene.
[quote] It’s not about tricking your audience, but about keeping them invested!
[quote] Take wedding videos, for example. The right lens flare at the right moment can add elegance and romance to a shot. A complimentary, warming lens flare can be used as a simple visual cue that subconsciously triggers feelings of contentment and peace.

(I'd love to be a fly on the wall when they tell Viola she's too old and not sexy enough to play Lois Lane.)

R26 That is the most brain dead thing I've read on here. You rival Jabba in your cluelessness and stupidity. Go to bed, grandma.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | May 6, 2021 4:23 AM |
What part of 13% of the population is so hard to understand? They are going so overboard it's just laughable at this point. Are black people getting embarrassed by this? Overrepresentation isn't going to solve anything and will, more likely, just cause a backlash. Also, are there any other races? Is there any chance this is being done to piss off the latino and Asian communities?
by Anonymous | reply 32 | May 6, 2021 4:24 AM |
Seriously, R31? Explain why it’s so “brain dead”.
You’ve seen movies, right?
Taking a break from your usual “gramps” insult, too, I see.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | May 6, 2021 4:26 AM |
No, R32, it's to demonstrate that Hollywood isn't racist. Diversity = black. America will respond at the ballot box in 2022 as to how successful this complete sellout is.
