It was heaven.
Waaaay too much tuna to bread ratio.

My cat had that too.

No Celery!
by Anonymous | reply 3 | February 24, 2021 6:58 PM |
Pretty standard recipe except for the celery.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | February 24, 2021 7:02 PM |
Tuna fish.
Duke's Mayo.
Maybe a bit of sour cream.
Salt and pepper to taste.
Anything else is just piss elegant.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | February 24, 2021 7:03 PM |
Sour cream?! 🤮
by Anonymous | reply 6 | February 24, 2021 7:04 PM |
Sour cream????

I had the tuna and cranberry sandwich from Whole Foods yesterday. It was okay. I don’t know how it was made.

It was heaven? How....queer.

The Tuna sandwich mix at Sherman's Deli in Palm Springs is life changing.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | February 24, 2021 7:11 PM |
This recipe seems pretty regular to me.

The tuna melt at Blimpie would make my tastebuds do the tango.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | February 24, 2021 7:14 PM |
That's literally the same recipe that everyone has used for centuries.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | February 24, 2021 7:14 PM |
Except for the garlic, it looks like a standard tuna salad recipe.
The toast is burned.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | February 24, 2021 7:14 PM |
My mom’s simple tuna salad
Drain a can of tuna
Mix with Yoplait (any flavor but the fruit and citrus ones go really well with fish)
Add in celery, pecans, pineapple, apple, raisins, craisins, mini marshmallows, grape halves, carrots, onions, leeks, potatoes, egg, garlic
Salt and pepper to taste
A dash of worchesthire sauce and some condensed milk to sweeten and hot sauce for some heat

I've never had tuna with anything except celery and mayo. I also like to pulverize the tuna first in the food processor. My sister likes it that way too and we realized it was because that was how they served it in school lunches in grade school. And it always had celery.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | February 24, 2021 7:16 PM |
No garlic.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | February 24, 2021 7:17 PM |
I'll try it. I'm always looking for the perfect combo of ingredients.
R16 interesting idea. Is the celery chunky or sort of pulverized too?
by Anonymous | reply 18 | February 24, 2021 7:17 PM |
OP, fraus use the words "heaven" and "bliss" to describe pleasant experiences.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | February 24, 2021 7:18 PM |
Yes, except for the garlic, pretty normal recipe. The only slight twist would be the sweet pickle relish.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | February 24, 2021 7:19 PM |
I didn't know what else to say R19. It was that good. I also had a side of potato salad with it.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | February 24, 2021 7:20 PM |
Four cans of tuna?
by Anonymous | reply 22 | February 24, 2021 7:21 PM |
r18 the celery is cut up small but not pulverized.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | February 24, 2021 7:22 PM |
4 cans??? way too damn much.
I do a dallop of mayo, 1-2 cans of tuna, kraut, salt, pepper. I'll try adding some veggies though!
by Anonymous | reply 24 | February 24, 2021 7:22 PM |
It's astounding that so many people got paid actual money to assemble, photograph, and chart this overwrought over-designed, twee, inane, web article about fuckin' TUNA SALAD.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | February 24, 2021 7:29 PM |
R15 That sounds utterly disgusting.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | February 24, 2021 7:33 PM |
Sounds like ambrosia tuna salad.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | February 24, 2021 7:34 PM |
It’s basic tuna salad with garlic. I use the tangy taste of Miracle Whip for mine.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | February 24, 2021 7:38 PM |
My family recipe for tuna salad is tuna, Miracle Whip and pickle relish. Very easy to make. I used to make it myself as a child in a reused margarine bowl.

No gurl... just no.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | February 24, 2021 7:42 PM |
Tuna (water-packed and drained); lemon juice; Duke's mayonnaise; red onion or scallion (chopped fine); Jamaican curry powder.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | February 24, 2021 7:43 PM |
R15 made me laugh.
Wouldn’t lemon juice make the mayo curdle? I’ve made tuna with both but not at the same time.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | February 24, 2021 7:44 PM |
R15, I stopped reading when you advised mixing tuna with fruit-flavored yogurt. Ick.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | February 24, 2021 7:44 PM |
Lemon juice and mayonnaise won't make a mess if you mix the juice into the tuna first.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | February 24, 2021 7:50 PM |
Why were you raised in a margarine bowl, R29?
by Anonymous | reply 35 | February 24, 2021 7:54 PM |
No garlic ever!!!
by Anonymous | reply 36 | February 24, 2021 7:56 PM |
Lemon juice does not curdle mayonnaise.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | February 24, 2021 8:05 PM |
Tastes and smells like pussy, no thanks
by Anonymous | reply 38 | February 24, 2021 8:21 PM |
I like to chop a couple bread and butter pickle chips into my tuna/chicken salad
by Anonymous | reply 39 | February 24, 2021 8:33 PM |
You want to rinse the tuna in the lemon juice. Then you rinse out the lemon juice. It gets rid of the overly fishy and canned taste. Then you add the celery, carrots, green onions, sweet relish, mayo (I like Best Foods but there are a growing number who like Kewpie) and some even like to add one hard boiled egg, but I skip that.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | February 24, 2021 8:55 PM |
Take out the garlic (blech) add a dollop of dijon mustard and the rest of the recipe is fine except I've never made four cans of tuna at once. Two cans is about right and adjust the other amounts.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | February 24, 2021 8:57 PM |
What can I use in place of relish?
by Anonymous | reply 42 | February 24, 2021 9:12 PM |
A chopped up pickle, R42. Maybe capers.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | February 24, 2021 9:14 PM |
It's sweet relish so sweet pickles. If you want a less sweet taste, just chopped up pickles.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | February 24, 2021 9:15 PM |
This looks bland and underwhelming. I like tarragon, finely diced white onion and red chili flake in my tuna salad (along with Mayo- Kewpie or McCormick -Mexican, lime based).

Dash of cayenne makes almost everything taste better.

Like everyone here is saying, only fraus use words like "Heaven" to describe shit. I'm betting the OP is the author of the blog or one of her "team", to drive traffic to her site. I know because my annoying sister-in-law is a food blogger and she does the same shit,
