Wait. I mean that as a compliment. Clearly, she has given up on any notion of chart success. She's not chasing any trends, not trying to act half her age. This is a LOVELY, slightly left-of-center pop R&B song from a grown-ass-woman. She's recognized that she's in her 40s and she's not going to be chasing the Dua Lipa and Ariana Grandes of the world anymore. I'm not sure who the producer(s) are, but this wouldn't be out of place on a James Blake album. The vocal arrangements/production are especially beautiful. I was not expecting this from Kelly, but I like it.
"Dua Lipa"??? You high, boy?

At least she hasn't purchased a Kardashian ass like Beyonce.

R1 - yeah, Dua Lipa, as in the massively successful, chart-topping artist. You might not like her, but she had a massive 2020. And, all I was saying is that Kelly clearly isn't trying to come for the young pop girls, she's owning where she is and it's refreshing. If only J-Lo would give this a shot.
