Watch Out Jim Jordan, There's a Target On Your Back

George Clooney to produce docuseries about abuse scandal that Jim Jordan was accused of covering up

The decades-long abuse scandal in the athletic department at Ohio State University will be chronicled in a docuseries produced by George Clooney and Grant Heslov's Smokehouse Pictures, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The series is based on a Sports Illustrated story from last year by Jon Wertheim, detailing a long list of allegations against former Ohio State sports doctor Richard Strauss and the ensuing lack of action from university officials. "This article uncovers the most widespread sexual abuse scandal in the history of American higher education. It is a story about power, abuse, enabling and the hierarchy of college sports that had been concealed for far too long," said Wertheim, who will be an executive producer of the series. "Because these courageous men made the decision to remain silent no longer, we can finally begin to hold the abuser, and those who were complicit in their silence, accountable for their actions — and inactions. With the help of 101 Studios, [SI owner] Authentic Brands Group and Smokehouse Pictures, their voices and stories — harrowing as they are — will be amplified."

Ohio GOP Rep. Jim Jordan has been accused of participating in the scandal's cover up. Speaking to Ohio state legislators last year, a former captain of the university's wrestling team said that Jordan begged him to deny Ohio State doctor Richard Strauss's sexual abuse of wrestlers from 1979 to 1997.

"Jim Jordan called me crying, groveling, begging me to go against my brother, begging me, crying for a half-hour," whistleblower Mike DiSabato said. "That's the kind of cover-up that's going on there."

As there should be.

by Anonymousreply 102/22/2021

Good for George Clooney. Take these rabid politicians on and take them out.

by Anonymousreply 202/22/2021

Is that rather bold of him?

by Anonymousreply 302/22/2021

Was Gym a supplier of what he partaked himself?

Was he that kind of coach?

by Anonymousreply 402/22/2021

He was the kind of coach who covered up for rapists

by Anonymousreply 502/22/2021

Ohioan here who lives in a district adjacent to Gym Jordan's. I look forward to seeing this and I hope it takes down that smug bastard. He's an embarrassment to Ohio.

by Anonymousreply 602/22/2021

Gym, karma's a bitch. And she's coming for you!

by Anonymousreply 702/22/2021

Excellent news!

by Anonymousreply 802/22/2021

I wish more powerful Hollywood people would use their influence for good

by Anonymousreply 1002/22/2021

Jordan is just the kind of asshole that Clooney and his woke brahs would hate.

by Anonymousreply 1102/22/2021

Is this going to be even worse than The Monuments Men?

by Anonymousreply 1202/22/2021

Yay get him George.

by Anonymousreply 1302/22/2021

That’s rich.

by Anonymousreply 1402/22/2021

I look forward to the Kirby Dick documentary in the near future exposing George Clooney for the fraud that he is.

by Anonymousreply 1502/22/2021

I wish politicians would use their influence for good, R10.

by Anonymousreply 1602/23/2021

R15/Poo’s back.

by Anonymousreply 1702/23/2021

@r16, "I wish politicians would use their influence for good, [R10]. "

Ha! Good luck with that

by Anonymousreply 1802/23/2021

It feels awfully difficult to figure that out, doesn’t it? Who has the energy?

Jim Jordan is a gerrymandered fraud and a lying pos. His only charity is to himself.

George Clooney has worked to stop the human rights atrocities in the Darfur, and over the years has focused energy on helping those suffering from poverty in the USA. He’s been active with over 35 charities.

But go ahead and defend the indefensible, POS.

by Anonymousreply 1902/23/2021

If we've learned anything in the Trump era, it is that Republicans are most definitely guilty of projection.

With that in mind, pedo troll alert @R15.

by Anonymousreply 2002/23/2021

WW for R20!

by Anonymousreply 2102/23/2021

Get him. Grorge!

by Anonymousreply 2202/23/2021

It might be an interesting movie, but Gym Jordan isn't going anywhere.

Republicans. Don't. Give. A. Flying. Fuck.

by Anonymousreply 2302/23/2021

Uh, George some very VERY big skeletons in his closet, think Lake Como, males of interesting ages. George is not the one to talk about the sins of young male abuse.

by Anonymousreply 2402/23/2021

Look. Poo’s back at R24. Stinks like shit in here.

by Anonymousreply 2502/23/2021

R24 is the QAnon troll. Gym has multiple accusers, George has zero

by Anonymousreply 2602/23/2021

George has lots of knowledge regarding covering up and turning a blind eye to abuse. He owes a lot to Weinstein and it certainly wasn't in his best interest to expose him.

by Anonymousreply 2702/23/2021

Since Gym Jordan is a republican, I would put nothing past him, including trying to eliminate anyone trying to expose him.

by Anonymousreply 2802/23/2021

Who is Poo? Winnie the Pooh?

by Anonymousreply 2902/23/2021

Esquire did a damning article

R24, absolutely. It makes PERFECT sense that someone who is himself secretly guilty of sexual abuse would produce a documentary about someone else being a sexual abuser. You stupid shit stain.

by Anonymousreply 31Yesterday at 8:27 AM

Oh, Gym:

The Federal Election Commission on Tuesday asked U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan’s campaign committee to explain large accounting discrepancies between reports it filed several years ago and corrected reports the committee filed earlier this year. Many of the discrepancies exceeded $100,000, and one exceeded $900,000. The campaign says no money was ever missing from its accounts, and blames the inconsistencies on troubles adjusting to skyrocketing donations as Jordan’s national profile grew.

Several March 2 letters from the FEC ask Jordan’s campaign to explain:

* an increase in disbursements totaling $122,706.60 on its 2018 post-general election report.

* a decrease in disbursements totaling $130,319.97 on a report of the campaign’s income and expenses during the final weeks of 2018.

* a decrease in receipts totaling $111,950.54 on Jordan’s campaign finance report for the first quarter of 2019.

* an increase in disbursements totaling $38,822.23 and a decrease in receipts totaling $164,342.47 on a report of the campaign’s income and expenses in the second quarter of 2019.

* an increase in disbursements totaling $37,784.91 and a decrease in receipts totaling $176,910.06 on a 2019 report that covered campaign expenses between July and September.

* an increase in receipts totaling $144,562.79 on its year end report for 2019.

* a decrease in receipts totaling $56,995.48 and a decrease in disbursements totaling $502,687.65 on a 2020 pre-primary report that covered January 1 through February 26.

* an increase in receipts totaling $67,364.90 and a $16,505.97 decrease in disbursements on a 2020 pre-primary report that covered early April.

* an increase in disbursements totaling $335,502.36 on its 2020 April quarterly report.

* an increase in receipts totaling $558,726.12 on a 2020 quarterly report that covered expenses from April 9 through June 30, and a decrease in disbursements totaling $911,530.36.

Each letter gives Jordan’s campaign until early April to respond, and says failure to do so “could result in an audit or enforcement action.”

by Anonymousreply 32Yesterday at 9:15 AM

Did Gym just cover for the guy or was he a fellow participant?

by Anonymousreply 33Yesterday at 10:05 AM

george not worried about being sued by gym?

by Anonymousreply 34Yesterday at 10:13 AM

R33, as far as we know he just covered up, but I wouldn't be too shocked if he had some more secrets....

by Anonymousreply 35Yesterday at 11:48 AM

Not the first time someone has used Gym’s back to shoot on

by Anonymousreply 36Yesterday at 12:43 PM

R31 It does make PERFECT sense. It's called deflection. Never said Clooney was guilty of sexual abuse. Your reading comprehension skills are poor.

by Anonymousreply 37Yesterday at 2:31 PM

Gym, you in danger, gurl!

[quote]Never said Clooney was guilty of sexual abuse.

Okay, if you're not saying Clooney is guilty of sexual abuse, what are you saying he IS guilty of? And if you're not saying he's guilty of anything, what the hell is your point?

by Anonymousreply 39Yesterday at 4:35 PM

Oh look, George Clooney's PR Shills/Asslickers @ r17, r25 and r26 desperately deflecting with their lame and worn out excuses.

No one has publicly accused George Clooney because he allegedly paid them all off with his abundance of Nespresso and Casamigos tequila money.

What's Ronan Farrow up to these days? Perhaps he could look into and settle the George Clooney allegedly chased a naked 16 year old boy off a cliff in Italy and then got married story?

Harvey Weinstein is rich and yet he's sitting in prison right now. You think "foxella" is a legit site?!

by Anonymousreply 41a day ago

Oh look, Poo Shoes aka R40's spouting her tired anti-Clooney rhetoric again.

How's your acting "career" going these days?

by Anonymousreply 42a day ago

R41 and Trump is not as rich as Weinstein and he's not in prison!

by Anonymousreply 43a day ago

Trump has been openly accused by many women.....funny, not one guy has come forward with a Clooney story

by Anonymousreply 44a day ago

R39 I said it at R27 Everyone knew it was an open secret but those who had their films financed and their careers made said nothing and turned a blind eye. Matt Damon, Ben Affleck and Clooney were buddy buddy with him and Damon knew about Gwyneth Paltrow hardly a wide-eyed starlet from Topeka, Kansas. So if he's harassing UES born Paltrow whose father was a film and music producer and her mom was Blythe Danner...

by Anonymousreply 45a day ago

Remember when Clooney thanked Michael Fassbender's penis at the Golden Globes. It seemed to make a big impression on him.
