Know anyone in the Witness Protection Program?

I’m thinking of joining

Miles Weber

If we knew them before, they’re just gone. If we know them after, we wouldn’t know.

by Anonymousreply 2February 21, 2021 6:47 PM

Yes.

I knew someone. It was hell. He was moved about every 3 years. He was not allowed to have a "high profile" job; so, he was basically stuck in minimum wage jobs that are typically held by transients. Relationships were out of the question.

by Anonymousreply 4February 21, 2021 6:53 PM

We can't sit with us, OP.

by Anonymousreply 5February 21, 2021 6:54 PM

You^

by Anonymousreply 6February 21, 2021 6:56 PM

Well' R4, at least he's alive. There are plenty of decent paying, even really good paying jobs, that aren't high profile. You aren't required to "hide" when you relocate. But you do need to stay off SM and usually can't contact relatives back home exceot through the agency.

Before you join watch this training program.

But don't they pay for all the cost of relocating, R4, plus find him a job?

by Anonymousreply 9February 21, 2021 7:59 PM

What did you witness, OP?

by Anonymousreply 10February 21, 2021 8:36 PM

I witness murder

You have do to the crime, to do the time.

This is one of the subjects that interests me most. Please keep discussing!

[quote]Know anyone in the Witness Protection Program?

Doesn't that kind of kill the point of the witness protection program?

by Anonymousreply 14February 25, 2021 8:17 PM

Yes, my ex-boyfriend, Miles Webber.

by Anonymousreply 15February 25, 2021 8:21 PM

I knew a woman who was in it for 20 years. She was 'released' when the person she testified against died and members of his 'organization' were either dead or o longer a threat for her. She jumped at the chance to get back to the real world, started a business, and is now enjoying life.

It is not a club OP, you don't join. Either they offer it to you or they don't.

by Anonymousreply 17February 25, 2021 8:53 PM

A friend of mine starred in the TV movie "Witness Protection." Does that count?

by Anonymousreply 18February 25, 2021 8:56 PM

It seems like such a haunting existence.
