The forecast (at least on the east coast) is all 40’s and 50’s next week. We’re headed into spring after this.
Looks Like This Storm is Winter’s Last Gasp
by Anonymous | reply 47 | Last Thursday at 9:37 AM |
Hope you did not jinx us OP. Significant snow storms are not unheard of in March and April.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | 02/18/2021 |
I made sure to knock on wood, R1: my morning erection which is still present.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | 02/18/2021 |
Old man winter wants to go out with a bang.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | 02/18/2021 |
I am north of NYC and it’s been snowing for just over an hour. We already have an inch of snow. If it keeps falling at this rate we’re looking at over a foot of snow (on top of the foot still on the ground).
by Anonymous | reply 4 | 02/18/2021 |
Wow, Jimmmmmaayyyyyy....wait, I am in the wrong thread.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | 02/18/2021 |
Spring - say it softly, it’s almost like praying!
by Anonymous | reply 6 | 02/18/2021 |
Buahahahaha, OP, you have no IDEA what's coming!@
by Anonymous | reply 7 | 02/18/2021 |
OP, you are SO sweetly naïve.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | 02/18/2021 |
I’m just reading the forecast, R8.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | 02/18/2021 |
Anyone else think this was a GAP thread at first?
by Anonymous | reply 10 | 02/18/2021 |
Because they can forecast the next 4 months exactly.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | 02/18/2021 |
Are you pro-winter, R11?
by Anonymous | reply 12 | 02/18/2021 |
You’d better be right OP. I still see snow on the forecast for NYC next week but I’ll live in denial for now.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | 02/18/2021 |
[quote] Hope you did not jinx us OP.
OP ABSOLUTELY jinxed us.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | 02/18/2021 |
“Jinxed us.” You lily livered crybabies! Quit your bellyaching with these superstitious reveries. I’ve peered through the fog of the immediate future and there’s no snow on the horizon.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | 02/18/2021 |
Oh, I hope so, OP. I'm longing to pull out my Ship 'n Shore ensembles!
by Anonymous | reply 16 | 02/18/2021 |
Fine, OP!
But your gay ass is shoveling me out when we do get a storm.
Don’t you remember that old commercial, “you don’t fuck with Mother Nature”? I think it was for butter.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | 02/18/2021 |
Another day added to the Weather Channel two-week forecast (Thursday March 4) and it’s 45 degrees. I’m telling you, spring is coming.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | 02/18/2021 |
You probably can't believe this, r17, but it's not butter.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | 02/18/2021 |
R10, HUGE ice and snow storms in Dallas in Early 2000, but GAP at NorthPark was still open!
by Anonymous | reply 20 | 02/18/2021 |
OP, I have to say I find you cute. I really do.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | 02/18/2021 |
Thanks, R21. I took that photo last year.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | 02/18/2021 |
We can have big storms in March and April, but even now the sun's angle is much higher than in December. Snow struggles to accumulate on pavement as we move closer to spring.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | 02/18/2021 |
Spring, my ass. I just slogged for an hour through Philadelphia slush and I have had it. I thought Philly is at the latitude of Naples and spring comes early....
by Anonymous | reply 24 | 02/19/2021 |
I said starting next week, R24. From Tuesday onward, not a day below 40 degrees.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | Last Sunday at 3:42 AM |
In Florida, spring was in January this year. All my spring bulbs have come and gone. I am preparing for hurricanes, now.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | Last Sunday at 4:09 AM |
Good luck, R26. Hopefully you’ll get a weak hurricane season this year.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | Last Sunday at 4:11 AM |
R26 In central Florida, we were very fortunate last year. Nothing came by us in all those storms. I cannot imagine in these 'days of reckoning' we will be missed this year. And, I am sure California will burn again. That seems to be what we do these years.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | Last Sunday at 4:26 AM |
More snow tomorrow in NY.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | Last Sunday at 4:41 AM |
[quote] Spring, my ass.
Is that an invitation?
Ah, never mind. Just saw the comma.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | Last Sunday at 6:34 AM |
Careful. Spring can really hang you up the most.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | Last Sunday at 6:58 AM |
What do you mean, R32?
by Anonymous | reply 33 | Last Tuesday at 5:48 AM |
It's going to hit 40 degrees here. I texted my downstairs neighbor to be careful if she goes out onto her patio because there are some killer icicles above her head that'll likely be crashing down today or tomorrow.

[Quote] Anyone else think this was a GAP thread at first?
Yes! Awesome choice of pic to illustrate your weather thread OP!
by Anonymous | reply 35 | Last Tuesday at 6:44 AM |
Snowing again in NY. Tomorrow might hit 50F though.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | Last Tuesday at 7:02 AM |
Agree with R8 and R14.
It will get cold again in March.
Like the past couple of years, there will be a period of mild weather, then temperatures will suddenly drop and we'll have snow at the end of March. Then it will be cold until the end of April.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | Last Tuesday at 7:04 AM |
R37 that is not what will happen.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | Last Tuesday at 7:44 AM |
In Michigan, we often have snow in April. We are now entering what we call the "Fool's Spring". Everybody knows there will be more snow and cold before we dare plant anything in our gardens.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | Last Tuesday at 7:58 AM |
Boooooo hisssssssss at r37.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | Last Tuesday at 8:04 AM |
Of course there will be cold snaps. We’re talking about spring, not summer. Nobody’s saying it will be smooth sailing from here on out. But we’re hopefully beyond the weeks of freezing temperatures and snow storms that turn to ice at night. If it snows a couple inches one day and then melts the next as temperatures rise into the 40’s again, I’m fine with that.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | Last Tuesday at 8:07 AM |
Look at today. It snowed yesterday and I didn’t have to shovel or salt cause it’s 40 friggin degrees right now and it’s melting on its own. By tomorrow (mid-40’s) it should be gone. If it was 30 degrees today, I would’ve had to go out and clean that shit up.
I swear I’m not buying another goddamn bag of rock salt until next winter.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | Last Tuesday at 8:13 AM |
Bloomberg News finally catches up to the fortune-telling OP and declares that winter is over:
by Anonymous | reply 43 | Last Tuesday at 12:02 PM |
Hope you're right R41, I'm done with winter. We've had some big snow and ice storms in April that I hope we don't see this year.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | Last Tuesday at 12:06 PM |
Not a 30 degree day in sight now! Winter is OVER bitches!
by Anonymous | reply 45 | Last Thursday at 12:12 AM |
I was stuck in my house for 16 days straight. But at least I had electricity. My bread and milk had expired days before I could get out. Thank God I have my freezer stocked.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | Last Thursday at 12:23 AM |
Now it’s all 50’s next week. Yes!
