I'm betting that he used the same egg donor that Andy Cohen used. The brothers were estranged from Gloria. She never mentioned them. One did appear on a special Anderson did about his roots but the other brother wanted nothing to do with Anderson or Gloria.

How can Ben and Anderson both be the kid's biological parent? Even if they mixed the sperm together, only one would have made the kid.

If they mixed the sperm together then it would be a mixture of their DNA. Half would be Anderson’s and half would be Ben’s.

I think Cooper is one of the most troubled in a non-dramatic kind of way people there is. With a dead mother about whom he has ambivalence, yet worship, evident regret about his childhood, the longest known enduring relationship in his life with the likes of Andy Cohen - he goes out and turkey basters Butterball. And curiously announces he's out of the oven on TV. He could have just had a child and accepted in time it would come out. But it's like the Markle school of... everything. Why do it if you don't tell the world? He doesn't seem all that bright - few of his interviews match his peers on CNN (though I'll grant him he at least knows how to shut up and let them do the talking which leads to), he semi-stutters, so what the hell is the underlying stressor or trauma that drives that unfixed after all these years? His taste in friends speaks for itself but shallow leaps to mind. I will say he does give every appearance of loving the child. But I wonder how well he'll do at raising it with his evident character flaws? Even the contorted relationship the ex - and the track record previously - doesn't seem like a knowing rejection of convention. Anyway, worse have had kids, so I guess he gets a kick at raising a dysfunctional future American too.

So Gloria wasn't the most maternal parent - I have to wonder how much of that was also due to her clothing line taking off just after Anderson's father died. Her name was on the ass of half of all American women by 1979.

And you know what? Parents in the 60's and 70's did not helicopter parent. Parenting really was different then - and not necessarily in a bad way. Parents were not your friends and they weren't so involved in their kids lives and vice versa.

Anderson always down plays his family's money, mother's fame, connections - basically all of the advantages he has had in life, he shrugs off as being not true.

Gay life in any city (and NYC is no different) is NEVER MORE than 2 degrees of separation. If the average gay man has hundreds of sexual partners in a lifetime, (and quite a few have THOUSANDS*), a person doesn't have to be a rocket scientist or nuclear physicist to realize that two gay people of approximately the same age in the same city are likely to have slept with at least one man in common, and very possibly more (if they attended the same gym or frequented the same bars).. For absolute certain, one of THEIR sexual partners has slept with some sexual partner of the other.
