A melting pot where all the races have interbred, and no one is 'black' or 'white' anymore.
No, Brazil is a product of the past, when the Portuguese fucked anything that moved.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | February 14, 2021 6:02 PM |
No.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | February 14, 2021 6:06 PM |
It’s a horrible nightmare country in every way.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | February 14, 2021 6:09 PM |
It even has Glenn Greenwald!
by Anonymous | reply 4 | February 14, 2021 6:11 PM |
No. What is with some people in America and glorifying Brazil like this? Racism is even worse there towards black people, it just takes a different form.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | February 14, 2021 6:13 PM |
That place has no black people on their TV. They're so backwards
by Anonymous | reply 6 | February 14, 2021 6:15 PM |
Brazil is my dream country, in terms of men, anyway.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | February 14, 2021 6:21 PM |
Racism is even worse there towards black people, it just takes a different form.
Yes. As with most of Latin America, it's not so much modified apartheid, as is the case in the United States, but more of a caste system.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | February 14, 2021 6:22 PM |
R8, my friend lived there and agrees. He said you do see more mixing there and unlike here, even many people who are clearly more than 50% black still identify as white or mixed there (because of no 1 drop rule there). But the racism there is even more insidious.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | February 14, 2021 6:24 PM |
Clearly OP has never been to Brazil. Ask the darker complexion citizens what they think of 'equality' in their country.
The racism there is pretty bad.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | February 14, 2021 6:25 PM |
Isn’t their president a fascist? Plus they’re destroying the rainforest and harming indigenous people.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | February 14, 2021 6:26 PM |
Are you retarded, OP? The racial hierarchy is more pronounced in Latin America then it is in the U.S.
Look up "Latino CEOs" on GIS. Do you notice anything in common amongst them? Think hard, now.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | February 14, 2021 6:26 PM |
There are still black and white people in Brazil. Many Brazilians are mostly white with little to no admixture and they are the ruling class while Brazilians who are mostly black are still the lowest class.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | February 14, 2021 6:28 PM |
Puerto Rico is a better example of a country where everyone is mixed. Brazil had a lot of European immigration and Indigenous genocide just like Argentina and Black Brazilians were quite segregated just like Black Americans and many retained their mostly black ancestry.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | February 14, 2021 6:29 PM |
Puerto Rico is a better example of a country
R14 Oh, boy. Geography class was hard, I bet.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | February 14, 2021 6:37 PM |
Brazil is a vision of a future dystopia
by Anonymous | reply 16 | February 14, 2021 6:39 PM |
R15 Yep I didn't have it in high school.
OK how about this? Caribbean [bold]territories[/bold] and countries are better examples of societies that are more racially blended. But like Brazil, they still have racial categories.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | February 14, 2021 6:40 PM |
R16 - America is not far behind.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | February 14, 2021 7:18 PM |
^ Why, if racism is so despicable, does it still flourish? Why have inroads to equality been so slow in even the most progressive countries? Where have we dropped the ball in teaching it's detriment to society?
by Anonymous | reply 19 | February 14, 2021 7:29 PM |
and no one is 'black' or 'white' anymore.
So everyone is a plain looking stale old piece of toast?
by Anonymous | reply 20 | February 14, 2021 7:44 PM |
What about parts of Europe or Africa? People arent going to be completely mixed there for a very long time.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | February 14, 2021 7:50 PM |
It's good that everything has to be reduced to white and black, so existing biases can be maintained here. Heaven forbid things get complicated by talking about indigenous people.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | February 14, 2021 7:58 PM |
In spite of all this talk about how EVERYONE in Brazil is mixed. Someone who looks like OBAMA would NEVER be elected President of Brazil.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | February 14, 2021 7:59 PM |
R16- DYSTOPIA? Oh please it's NOT the movie SOYLENT GREEN.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | February 14, 2021 8:01 PM |
"no one is 'black' or 'white' anymore"
Mrs Brady, a sixth-generation Brazilian, would presumably disagree
OP has never been to Brasil.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | February 14, 2021 8:02 PM |
R15- We really should only be talking about countries in South America like Mexico.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | February 14, 2021 8:03 PM |
R7: You have excellent taste in men. The guy shown in the post looks a bit like a guy named, "Christian", who used to dance and strip at the, now closed, Nob Hill Theatre in San Francisco. Needless to say, "Christian", is never far from my thoughts.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | February 14, 2021 8:05 PM |
R27- You call that EXCELLENT taste? He looks like a side of BOLOGNA, all bulbous.
NOT my idea of HOT.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | February 14, 2021 8:06 PM |
Every time I go to Brazil I have a lot of black in me.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | February 14, 2021 8:26 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 35 | February 14, 2021 9:39 PM |
R35 - and thank you for telling me about Marlon Teixeira - that is one beautiful man!!
by Anonymous | reply 36 | February 14, 2021 10:18 PM |
I have to say that Thiago Lacerda is about as close to my perfect man as someone can get - the face, the beard, the body, the butt, everything! Humberto Martins is close behind, at least when he was younger.

do the men still wear speedos, bikini's and thongs there?? (likewise do the aussie men on bondi beach?)...

The country of the future, and always will be.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | February 14, 2021 10:23 PM |
Horrible crime rate, horrible economy, horrible racism... hot men.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | February 14, 2021 10:26 PM |
Racism in Brazil has a very different history than the US. Mixed marriage/unions have always been more common there. Half the country is biracial. Black people have a bit more presence on TV these days. Black people in positions of power, not so much.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | February 14, 2021 10:29 PM |

Not in your case, Crackney/#44- yours drowned just like mom.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | February 15, 2021 2:28 AM |
Maybe Brazil is our future -- Brazil has a small elite class, no middle class, and a large poor class. That seems like what's been developing the past 40 years in America.
I think 1990s Yugoslavia is our future though.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | February 15, 2021 2:40 AM |
r45, you are hateful.

R44 Yes, they are. So, teach them well and help them lead the way. Show them all the beauty they possess inside.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | February 15, 2021 2:47 AM |
Brazil has very few black people in power or who are wealthy. It has the world’s largest black population outside of Africa, yet it has a shameful racial caste system. At least America has significant numbers of affluent, well educated, and politically powerful Black people. America at least talks seriously about racism and inequality
by Anonymous | reply 49 | February 15, 2021 2:49 AM |
You should probably call your NA sponsor to let him know you relapsed again, R45.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | February 15, 2021 2:50 AM |
They have Tropical Trump as a president. And he's a homophobe. No thanks.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | February 15, 2021 2:52 AM |
Why would you want to live in a place like Brazil other than for cock? It kind of seems like a hellhole in most ways.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | February 15, 2021 2:54 AM |
A melting pot where all the races have interbred, and no one is 'black' or 'white' anymore.
Since Blacks are only 13% of the US population, if they all interbred with Whites, that would just mean no more Blacks within a generation.
