Well she was known as a fuck up and a grifter. I don't mind him making fun of that. I think the questions 'we didn't discuss in the pre-interview' were too close to the bone and made for uncomfortable viewing. Never been a fan of hers but I thought she handled herself pretty well.

I used to like his scathing/sarcastic interviews with full-of-shit celebrities, but I think he went too far here. That said, if it was a Kardashian - I'd be laughing my ass off.

Letterman was always a sarcastic asshole. One whole interview was him making fun of Uma Thurman's name. So glad those days are behind us.

Sidenote: There is something I always liked about Lindsay Lohan. She has natural charisma. She really shined through this entire interview. I've always chalked it up to the fact that he was still very much at the top of the entertainment industry heap at the time, but of course, that's a terrible reason not to be held accountable. FWIW, I always hated his unrelievedly snarky on-air persona, and I hardly ever watched the show for that reason.
