One of the longest song titles ever!

J'adore Dusty Springfield.

I love it! I used to cocktail waitress in the 80s - I haven’t heard that song in a million years - that reminds me of a happy busy Saturday night.

I love that they got Dusty Springfield to make her big comeback in this song which turned out to be a huge hit. She went out in a blaze of glory. It's such a catchy tune and still holds up today. Love it!

The song is on the PSB's Actually album. Love it! Every track is good!

Still looks good after 34 years.

Quintessential 80's.
So beautiful.

One of my favorites. Love it.

Pet Shop Boys seem to be making a comeback.
There's even an insurance commercial playing their song "Let's Make Lots of Money."

I had no idea Dusty Springfield was British.
Or that she died!

Have you lived in a gay-free cave for the last 60 years?
by Anonymous | reply 13 | February 15, 2021 5:11 AM |
I meant that for R13.

They are boring as fuck in concert. Save your money and just listen to your CDs.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | February 15, 2021 5:19 AM |
Were you expecting them to SHRED those synthesizers, R15? Perhaps a mosh pit along the lines of an Annie Lennox concert?
by Anonymous | reply 16 | February 15, 2021 5:25 AM |
That's a nice HD remaster for that video.

Some of their recent tours were hit or miss (more miss), but some of their earlier tours were campy, dramatic pieces of art.

I’m with R3... instant callback/flashback to the 80’s: a gayling taken you flight across the pacific on a PanAm 747, listening to wonderful gay synthpop such as this. And Erasure. On those horrible little stethoscopes they sold you to plug into the armrests for the in-flight entertainment.
Such fun memories. Even better music now.

I'm a kid of the 80s and 90s. Spent my 80s childhood in the UK and 90s childhood in the US. I have zero recollection of this song, but West End Girls seemed inescapable. BTW, it looks like Annie Lennox and Sophie Muller got the inspiration for her showgirl costume from the 'Why' video from this video. Same color scheme and everything.

Loooooove that song!
by Anonymous | reply 21 | February 15, 2021 6:05 AM |
I would rather the Domino Dancing and watch twinks wrestle in the ocean.

In Sparkle Motion’s big dance number they originally did it to West End Girls, but it proved to expensive for the rights, so they substituted a Duran Duran song in its place. But you can play WEG and it still lines up.
