Natalie Portman's father is a doctor.
Katie Holmes' father is a successful attorney who helped her plan her getaway from psycho Tom.
He's not normal, but Lindsay Lohan's father became a Wall Street trader at age 20 and was a millionaire by 30.

There are probably more celebrities with normal parents than without. It's just that media loves to focus on the crazy ones with the shitty parents. Also Lindsay and Britney were paparazzi whores who put themselves out there. Lindsay and Britney actually were more fucked up their moms who primarily raised them and pushed them into stardom.

You have to acknowledge that the reason we know these parents are shitty parents is because they forced themselves into the spotlight as well. You never see the families of the stars raised by normal and accomplished parents all over the media.
