Do you add hatch Chili’s 🌶, cinnamons, or raisins? Beans or no beans?

No beans, no tomatoes. I recently made the 7 chili chili from Homesick Texan. Got raves. Served it with cornbread.

No beans? No tomatoes? So it’s basically water?

She's a home-wrecking cunt married to the original republican asshole and I'm sure anything she cooked would land you in the ER

by Anonymousreply 3February 11, 2021 9:39 AM

For those who say no beans, what else do you use? Meat and peppers and onions? Lentils as a sub for beans?

by Anonymousreply 4February 11, 2021 10:12 AM

She looks desiccated. Bet her chilli tastes the same.

"What’s your favorite chili recipe?"

Hormel.

I don't have time on my hands for homemade.

Chili as a dish - beans Chili as a topping - no beans.

Finally, that's Hatch Chiles, cunt!

Cocoa powder in the chile.

But I also like Cincannati Chile...which horrifies purists.

i did a "Wendy's " copycat recipe that was pretty good. and not as greasy as their own

Didn’t I read somewhere that Mrs. Helmet Hair gives great head, which is why Newt married her?

by Anonymousreply 13February 11, 2021 11:32 AM

^^ Nah, she's just the only woman that didn't gag at the thought

[quote] Light snow calls for a pot of chili with @newtgingrich❄️

I don't want Newt Gingrich tooting out of either end. Plugs should be permanently installed in both ends.

I suspect there is a lot of crossover between people who think chili needs beans and people who insist Hellman’s/Best Foods mayonnaise is the best.

When Newt and Calista get frisky after her chili it's "Dutch Oven Time" under the "civvers"!

by Anonymousreply 17February 11, 2021 1:00 PM

What is with those hideous countertops and cabinets? Newt and No. 3 can't afford to update their kitchen from the 90s?

by Anonymousreply 18February 11, 2021 1:03 PM

R18, they live in McLean, Virginia, which is an affluent suburb in the DC area. I was just as shocked by the cheap and dated decor. Methinks the Gingrich finances might be a little tight, which is why they hitched their wagon to the Trump train.

I make a vegetarian chili with lentils. Tomatoes, onion, garlic, mix of spices/herbs (oregano, ground chili, cumin, mustard), black pepper, salt, bell pepper.

FWIW---No beans and I hate mayo, generally.

by Anonymousreply 20February 11, 2021 1:08 PM

Is Callista the one who was caught blowing Newt in the parking lot? Who's blowing him now?

by Anonymousreply 21February 11, 2021 1:08 PM

Calista doesn't seem like the type who spends much time in the kitchen. Ditto Newtie. She probably needs to sped a lot of time having her hair lacquered.

"Take 30 lbs of onions and 30lbs of ground beef ....."

I used to make a10 gallon batch for our Christmas tree killing party(the Sunday after Thanksgiving) In addition to the 2 ingredients above I used: Chili powders, plenty of additional herbs and spices, canned tomatoes, jarred chopped garlic, balsamic vinegar, Worchestershire sauce and yes, beans(pink beans, to be precise)

One year it just didn't taste quite right, until I realized how lean the ground beef was that I had purchased(the meat had yielded hardly any fat when it was frying). Added some olive oil and that did the trick, improved the flavor and mouthfeel immensely.

Always made it the day after Thanksgiving, then I'd bring the cauldron down to a small, neighborhood grocery and store it in their walk-in refrigerator.

There was always a gallon or so left over, and friends went home with Monday's lunch.
