Mary Wilson back in her hey-day with The Supremes.

Oh, no! Her autobiography is truly terrific. The description of her fight on stage with Diana during the Motown 25 celebration makes the book a DL must-read.

Awww, I liked ol' Mary! She was fun.

There has been such an explosion of celebrity in the past 50 years that the dying in 3s theory should be upped to 9s.

Please, will you give us a summary?

No! This one hurts!

R5 If I recall correctly, she said Diana pushed her behind her when the Supremes took the stage at the concert.
Didn't she also write that during their TV performances, Diana would open her arms wide and cover Mary's and Flo's faces when the cameras were on them? Mary figured it out and would step away, then Diana would move and cover her face again.

You could classify Diana's tweet about Mary's death as "doing the bare minimum" to acknowledge her death.
Also, Diana doesn't know how to use the space bar correctly.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | February 9, 2021 12:43 PM |
Her wonderful memories include fucking the boss to get Mary and Flo consigned to hand claps and the back row. Keep cunting Miss Ross.

Mary got to enjoy many years of Tom Jones' giant cock.
Good for her!

DIANE YOU ARE STILL A BITCH!!!
by Anonymous | reply 13 | February 9, 2021 12:57 PM |
STOP! In the name of love, this is sad news. Mary Wilson and the other Supremes were groundbreakers.

Singer Tom Jones had an open marriage and had a long standing affair with Mary Wilson - she was porked by prime Welsh cock!

Years ago Mary did a tour about girl groups and girl singers and I got to see her in person here in Windsor, Ontario. Memories!

Florence Ballard died way back in 1976 and Mary Wilson just recently left us. Now Diana Ross is the only original Supreme left. Hang on Diana!

Diana is the only one who matters

The Supremes got their Star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame - and here's Mary!

Oh no! I met Mary Wilson years ago and she couldn't have been nicer. She actually gave me her phone number to contact her regarding a project on which I was working.
Rest in peace, Miss Wilson

Why should the death of a Diana Ross backup singer be big news?

R25 Hi, Ms. Ross

Has Loretta Devine commented?

Where is Diana ? Hiding in a bunker? Guess that the supreme reunion concert is not going to happen now! And Berry Gordy must be pushing 90 .
by Anonymous | reply 29 | February 10, 2021 1:57 AM |
I didn't have a connection to Mary but I am sad she passed when it seemed she still had things to do in life.
She directed so much animus at Diana Ross over the years that I imagine 'Diane' had already made peace with never speaking to her again.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | February 10, 2021 2:26 AM |
She had an affair with Tom Jones ?
by Anonymous | reply 31 | February 10, 2021 2:34 AM |
A very lucky and fateful life. Mary was talentless, but was taught how to dress, speak, move and present herself around the world. As a member of The Supremes she had legendary success and made so little money. Because of course she could not succeed at anything on her own. She couldn't sing and was quite stupid. So she rode Diana Ross's ass for the rest of her hateful life. RIP Mary.
I'd give it up for Jackee Harry!! Ms. Ross gave the perfect statement. She's slyly dumb too. But I appreciate the spaces she left, before her commas. She and Mary had some good times, back in 1959. Ha.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | February 10, 2021 2:35 AM |
Miss Ross can't type for shit. Those weirdly spaced commas are supposed to be periods.
But at her age, Diane has had one in decades.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | February 10, 2021 2:39 AM |
Fuck.
hasn't.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | February 10, 2021 2:39 AM |
Ms. Ross never had to type. She might have become a doctor - never a stenographer. Instead - she became a worldwide superstar by the time she was 20 years old! A legend in time. And so she will remain until the day she dies. Diana Ross can place her commas wherever she thinks best. It's her personal touch that means so much. Reaching out. To Mary, her killers and a few people in Arizona.

R10. That tweet from Diane was a piece of shit. She ought to be ashamed of herself. Nothing like being an asshole even in the death of someone she's known since childhood. They rose to fame together, and she said basically nothing of any meaning. I hate the word, but Diane Ross is a CUNT.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | February 10, 2021 4:52 AM |
Her name is Diana, mary @ R36. Do you know shit about people you went to school with 60 years ago?
Mary Wilson was a poison to Ms. Ross. Wilson's name would not be known today other than for her association with Diana Ross. That ended over 50 years ago.
RIP to Mary Wilson's lies and buffoonery.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | February 10, 2021 4:57 AM |
Diane comes out on top. Again! She’s (wait for it )
The Boss.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | February 10, 2021 5:24 AM |
To R37:
According to Ross, her mother actually named her "Diane", but, a clerical error resulted in her name being recorded as "Diana" on her birth certificate. She was listed as "Diane" during the first Supremes records, and she introduced herself as "Diane" until early in the group's heyday. Her friends and family still call her "Diane".
by Anonymous | reply 39 | February 10, 2021 5:35 AM |
Yes mary dude @ R39. Everyone knows that. Her name is Diana. Same as anyone else who changed their name 55 years ago. You are neither her friend or family. You don't know Ms. Ross like that. And nobody called her 'diane' but Mary Wilson anyway. Always in some lame attempt to put the Supreme Superstar in her place. Thankfully, that talentless vindictive cow Mary Wilson Phillips is now dead and gone, mary. RIP.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | February 10, 2021 5:59 AM |
R37. Dionne Warwick, Gladys Knight and Patti LaBelle all released condolence statements for Mary Wilson. Each one of their statements was far away more heartfelt, classy and dignified than that piece of shit statement released by Miss Ross, who couldn't find it within herself to be decent and respectful or even punctuate two sentences properly for someone with whom she rose to fame and knew since childhood. Ross is being petty and arrogant.

Berry Gordy is in the new Showtime doc on Motown and you would never guess he's 91. He's amazingly youthful for a man of such an advanced age.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | February 14, 2021 11:40 PM |
Any word about the funeral? Supposedly Diana put on a real show at Florence's wake.
