I heard they had cleaned New Haven't up. It was a pit when I was there and it was not uncommon to hear of students getting mugged. Yale used to run nighttime shuttle buses from the campus to take people home, and I always took them. It wasn't safe to walk after dark.

Holy crap this case took a turn! Soon after” Yale graduate student Kevin Jiang was shot dead in New Haven’s Goatville neighborhood, North Haven police had MIT AI researcher Qinxuan Pan in their custody — and they let him go.

Now a nationwide manhunt is on to find Pan, who is wanted for questioning in the murder.

This Kevin Jiang was clearly a lot more amazing person than anyone posting on this group. He went to Yale, was in the military, and involved in his church. My thought go out to his family and his fiance.
