I heard most movie sets in the 70s and 80s were riddled with cocaine and didn't get cleaned up until about 1994. But I'm sure it's still fairly prevalent among celebrities in private.

I wonder about the actors/actresses who seem relatively sqaure, yet dabble in cocaine? I think Alison Brie is one (but I don't know if she still does).

God I miss the days of cocaine at every bar you went to. There was nothing like being in the club dancing your ass off,then doing a couple of bumps and dancing for another hour. The few partier friends I still have say people are still doing coke,but not as many because of fentanyl.

Cocaine isn’t what it used to be. I did a lot in the mid 80s then didn’t touch it for about 25 years. It fell out of fashion and I hated the way I felt when it ran out…which it always did. It’s a sharing drug (people come out of the woodwork for coke…if you’re holding, you become VERY popular…hence the term “coke whore”) so it goes fast.

I snorted some here and there during the last 10 years and it is very weak/overly cut these days. A gram is just about the same price now that it was in 1986, but about 80% weaker. In the 1980s 2 lines would keep me going for two hours…now they barely register. It doesn’t even really taste the same/numb your gums any more.

When I was young, fresh, and pretty, back in the 80s, the big local nightclub would give us coke. We would walk in and they would press little packets into our hands. We were too young to drink and it made us flirty and dance our asses off. I miss those days.

No, it's more that's what someone would do to test/taste the quality and people tending to be hive minded followed suit... most have no idea why they do it. They just know it's what is done. The minmal is if it numbs it, it must be.... that's the basic logic for people doing the "taste" test. The more of a "numbing" effect it has, the more quickly it happens, the more they believe it's pure. The gums are selected because it does take a while to affect... like going to the dentist.... they just need a vulnerable area that would respond adequately.

Still, you ever stare at the ceiling/sky in a group of crowded people? Even in places where people generally ignore others, it throws most people off... and they'll eventually stop to look up. . . more than if they were looking in any other direction. Now is this hardwired into us to do it or is it beacause of social conditioning?

I quit cocaine back in the late 90's so I have no idea what it's like these days. But about a decade or so ago I dabbled a bit with "bath salts", which could mean a variety of different synthetic substances. I will say, MDPV was absolutely amazing and almost identical to cocaine at a fraction of the price. Plus is generally wasn't cut with any other shit, since it was so cheap to begin with. People were just buying it from overseas as a "research chemical" and repackaging and reselling it at a modest markup. It was like $35 for a gram or so.

I gave that stuff up as well though once it started getting banned and made illegal. The main sites I was ordering it from all got shut down.

I’ve never enjoyed cocaine and don’t get the hype. I’ll sometimes do it when it’s offered but it doesn’t feel great and I have bad sinuses so that makes it worse. Give me molly any day. I don’t even crash afterwards like everyone warns you will.
