The equivalent would be Lysol borrowing Judy Garland from MGM to do an informercial about "keeping dainty and fresh" concluding with a production number of Judy in the shower singing "Clean As A Whistle"

I definitely remember them sending the boys to the library and letting the girls watch this film. Mid '60s, SF Bay Area suburbs.

Boys had a filmstrip in one class while girls had a movie. I do remember the girls coming out looking stunned.

I do remember our filmstrip made all the boys snicker when the narrator described "nocturnal emissions" and pronounced the word "sponnnnngey."

There’s some posters on DL that need to watch that film at OP. Like the ones that think women are all one big hole downstairs, and everything goes splat out of the hole, like that elephant baby in another thread.

Well, in the '60s anyway, boys weren't allowed to know about those things. And we didn't even get a male counterpart film or filmstrip where I grew up. In fact, all through elementary, intermediate, and high school, we didn't get one second of "health ed" much less sex education.

5th grade, circa 1979. Girls went to watch this in the all purpose room, boys stayed behind. There was a rumor that the boys were supposed to have a different film, but it got "lost." I never heard that directed from a teacher though.
