WWE Wrestler Gabe Tuft comes out as Transgender "GABBI" Tuft

Gabbi Tuft is living her truth.

The former WWE superstar, 42, came out as transgender in a lengthy statement shared on her social media accounts on Thursday, writing alongside a photo of herself, "This is me. Unashamed, unabashedly me."

"This is the side of me that has hidden in the shadows, afraid and fearful of what the world would think; afraid of what my family, friends, and followers would say or do," she continued. "I am no longer afraid and I am no longer fearful. I can now say with confidence, that I love myself for WHO I am."

Tuft, who previously wrestled under the ring name Tyler Reks, went on to open up about her journey, saying that the "previous eight months have been some of the darkest of my entire life."

"The emotional turmoil of being transgender and having to face the world has almost ended me on multiple occasions," she recalled. "However, the day I stopped caring about what other people thought, was the day I truly became limitless and allowed my authentic self to come into the light."

In her statement, Tuft also thanked her "loving" wife Priscilla — with whom she shares 9-year-old daughter Mia — and those who "have accepted me for who I am."

"To them, I am forever grateful. Your support along the way means more than you will ever know," she wrote.

"I don't expect everyone to agree or understand. It's not my place to change any of your core beliefs. Just know that the outer shell may change, but the soul remains the same," Tuft added.

"I promise to always be transparent and truthful with my journey, and to be a light to those that are in need. This is me," she concluded the post.

Tuft also shared a teaser clip from her upcoming interview with Extra on Twitter, in which she spoke about how her transition has affected her relationship with wife Priscilla.

"It's been a very interesting progression," she shared. "Our intimate life has changed quite a bit. We're not active in that way right now, but what we've discovered is a whole different part of our relationship."

Tuft has been married to Priscilla since 2002. In a Instagram Story shared earlier this week, Priscilla teased that the couple "will share the most pivotal transformation in 23 years together."

On Wednesday, Tuft posted a heartfelt tribute to her wife, writing in part, "Our love has crossed many lifetimes. We have fought battles to reach each other... and in other lives to break away from each other. We have waged wars in the name of our love, lost our own life or lives defending it, and been separated by insurmountable distances and odds. Somehow though, in every life, we find each other and our physical and ethereal bodies unite as one soul, as it was meant to be.

"I love you P, until my dying breath...and then I will find you again," she wrote.

Tuft retired from professional wrestling in 2014 following a six-year career with the WWE.

Straight transvestite in a RATTY wig

NEXT

by Anonymousreply 5February 5, 2021 4:24 AM

Exactly, R4.

I had absolutely no idea that this many people were harboring transgender identities.

by Anonymousreply 6February 5, 2021 4:26 AM

I'm sure that 'she' suffered terrible body dysphoria when 'she' muscled up, grew that long beard, and fought in the ring...

I miss the times when autogynephiles and cross-dressers didn't feel the need to declare their sexual fetish to the world! Now, they've become the face of the LGBT movement. 🤮

by Anonymousreply 7February 5, 2021 4:26 AM

Head injuries can have devastating consequences.

by Anonymousreply 8February 5, 2021 4:26 AM

R4 I’m also amazed by it. I don’t care how people chose to live their lives. I just had no idea so many trans people existed.

by Anonymousreply 9February 5, 2021 4:28 AM

Did he get the CHOP? Unless they get chopped I will never use whatever their friggin preferred pronoun is. You are not transsexual until you do. You are a transvestite aka tranny.

by Anonymousreply 12February 5, 2021 4:34 AM

There's only one thing left to do.

Start wresting again!

Gabbi can replace that other manly looking wrestler. The one who passed away (but I can't remember her name). Joni?

They kind of look alike.

by Anonymousreply 13February 5, 2021 4:35 AM

So are they just companions now at this point—friends? Or are they intimidate?

by Anonymousreply 14February 5, 2021 4:35 AM

Intimate...

by Anonymousreply 15February 5, 2021 4:35 AM

I'm pretty sure, R12.

He wouldn't make this kind of declaration without going all the way.

by Anonymousreply 16February 5, 2021 4:36 AM

Nah, no one gets the chop these days. Medical science hasn’t evolved enough to make a functioning dick/pussy from a pussy/dick.

by Anonymousreply 17February 5, 2021 4:38 AM

Doesn't matter whether it works or not, R17.

These Trans people are going for the aesthetics.

Look at how he completely changed his appearance. The hair extensions, the big tits. It's only logical to assume that Gabbi got the pussy to match the rest of the body.

by Anonymousreply 18February 5, 2021 4:41 AM

r4 men arent just struggling with same sex desires (being gay or bi), but also with gender issues. Various people (involved in the treatment of gender dysphoria) think that as many, if not slightly more, men have cross gendered sexual desires as there are gay men.

TLDR; lots of 'straight' guys are AGP. So expect a lot more men to come out.......

by Anonymousreply 19February 5, 2021 4:44 AM

Don't worry. It's just a trend, like saying that you're non-binary or pansexual.

by Anonymousreply 20February 5, 2021 4:44 AM

It’s a costly trend—in more ways than one.

by Anonymousreply 21February 5, 2021 4:46 AM

A who's who of (closeted, tranny-loving) Hollywood & Sports bigwigs are already flooding Gabbi's inbox to offer their support and set up lunch dates...........

by Anonymousreply 22February 5, 2021 4:46 AM

[quote]Look at how he completely changed his appearance.

It's fascinating to watch men come out as transgender and display what their perception of being a woman is.

by Anonymousreply 23February 5, 2021 4:52 AM

Boys start out as girls in the embryo phase and identify with their mothers first once born. I think this sets a certain number of males up for dysphoria.

Gender dysphoria is super, super rare.

by Anonymousreply 29February 5, 2021 5:01 AM

[quote] It's fascinating to watch men come out as transgender and display what their perception of being a woman is.

I read this in almost every trans thread, and the more I read it, the more I'm fascinated by this statement.

I truly wonder why it is that M2F trans always opt for the stripper look.

It makes me wonder if they're transGENDER or transVESTITES.

Society has opted to do away with the Transvestite label, but I wonder if it is more accurate than calling these people Transgender.

Maybe they just want to dress up in sexy female clothes, wear cool extensions, high heels, MAYBE put in some boobs, and that's it.

I think it deserves some looking into.

by Anonymousreply 30February 5, 2021 5:03 AM

[quote]Boys start out as girls in the embryo phase and identify with their mothers first once born. I think this sets a certain number of males up for dysphoria

No they don't. You are XX or XY from the moment of conception. Please don't buy into the fake "science" of the trans.

Or, you could actually meet a trans-person. R30 will have to make an effort, because the trans-people I’ve met are very poor.

As I understand it, you sacrifice your income, your resume, your network, and all the frightened people in your life when you do what you have to do. Most couldn’t afford all the psychiatric/medical/legal/operational bullshit when young. I’ve met a Helen Mirren body on somebody whose face/neck/hands as wrinkly as mine. They pay for what they get.

by Anonymousreply 36February 5, 2021 5:26 AM

I think you missed R30’s point, R36. You should probably re-read his post.

by Anonymousreply 37February 5, 2021 5:29 AM

R37, R30 is looking from a very specific place and I can’t continue because I’m starting to sound overly overly liberal - like folk music free verse poetry shit.

by Anonymousreply 38February 5, 2021 5:36 AM

Well, I think he was asking about transvestites not transgender. I think the transvestite discussion is an interesting discussion. I think it should be had, imo.

by Anonymousreply 39February 5, 2021 5:42 AM

by Anonymousreply 40February 5, 2021 5:51 AM

Stunning and brave autogynephilia!!!!

by Anonymousreply 41February 5, 2021 5:52 AM

So all of this happened in the last 5-6 months? I mean last July he has a 5 o’clock shadow and was walking around a store maskless wanting to pick a fight with someone who was going to ask him to put a mask on.

by Anonymousreply 42February 5, 2021 5:52 AM

She sho is ugleee.

by Anonymousreply 43February 5, 2021 6:12 AM

[quote]now it’s so prevalent to make ask what the hell is going on.

Not for those with critical thinking skills, R4. It's merely far mare safe to come out as trans now than it was previously. That's what's going on. That's all that it is.

TONS of people said the same thing about gay people coming out in the 80s. As if "suddenly" there were lots of gay people because of pollution or radio-waves or bad parenting, not that there were aways plenty of gay people who had to keep it hidden before.

by Anonymousreply 44February 5, 2021 6:36 AM

R36, “ As I understand it, you sacrifice your income, your resume, your network, and all the frightened people in your life when you do what you have to do.” can be said about addictions: gambling, drugs, alcohol. I found that interesting. But you’re not wrong.

R30, I think you’re right. There used to be that distinction and it suddenly disappeared. Maybe the -vestite was shamed into oblivion, because you can’t possibly dabble. You have to be full-on dedicated to being a woman now.

by Anonymousreply 45February 5, 2021 6:53 AM

Think of the rating system. Once they get past the folks that don’t know and then the people who hate them and then the people who are overly supportive they’re stuck with that whole “do you look good” test. As a guy, I aged out at 34. Now, they’re competing with wine moms on lookism.

by Anonymousreply 46February 5, 2021 6:53 AM

R46, exactly why I don’t know why these men want to be a woman. It’s not that great.

by Anonymousreply 47February 5, 2021 6:55 AM

[quote]She sho is ugleee.

De-transitioning is also on the rise. There are a couple subreddits (because they can't agree on the fundamentals of de-transitioning) with one sub having almost 18K followers and the newer off shoot about 2K.

by Anonymousreply 49February 5, 2021 7:00 AM

Fuck this piece of trans trash. They were on video last year telling people they shouldn't have to wear masks. And now we're supposed to celebrate their gender reveal?

She looks hideous and like a bulky stripper. Along with the no-masks thing, this person has issues.

by Anonymousreply 50February 5, 2021 7:02 AM

by Anonymousreply 51February 5, 2021 7:10 AM

by Anonymousreply 53February 5, 2021 7:16 AM

These guys are selfish. If you have these feelings DON’T get married and have children. It’s beyond messed up. “She” has to live her truth but what about the poor family?? I suppose he expects the wife to stay and raise the child together. Just like most of these people do. It’s fine if they aren’t hurting anybody else by transitioning, but the minute you talk about wives and kids, or wanting to compete with cisgender women in sports, I take issue. Now you are stepping on other people’s toes.

by Anonymousreply 54February 5, 2021 7:17 AM

She a big gurl...

by Anonymousreply 55February 5, 2021 7:21 AM

Just another attempt to erase our lived experiences as women. It's like they want to push it to see just how far they can go in mocking us before we fight back with violence if necessary. This is almost as repulsive as a drag show in its idea that a hulking male body can ever be female.

Another mess with fake tits and a dick. When will it end?

by Anonymousreply 60February 5, 2021 7:33 AM

It ends when women pushback against LGBT madness. We here in the UK are doing that. We have a history of strong female organisation. It's in the US where the gay patriarchy upholds this insanity unchallenged.

by Anonymousreply 61February 5, 2021 7:35 AM

Men, and these are men, who declare themselves gay or trans later in life after being married to women should be shunned by society.

by Anonymousreply 62February 5, 2021 7:37 AM

I think this pervasive mental illness we are seeing when it comes to the trans trend. People, mostly men, hate their lives, and somehow believe changing their gender is going to make it any better. It won't. You won't be accepted, in fact you'll be shunned by most of society. It's completely counterproductive.

by Anonymousreply 63February 5, 2021 8:23 AM

Good for her.

I have said it before, but I LOVE these threads because it is a great opportunity to block all the transphobic trolls on here - the ones whose opinion I couldn't give a shit about, who usually write nothing of any interest anyway, and are most likely sad ugly little trolls who will die alone. It makes this place MUCH better when such bottom-feeding scum are blocked!

Ms. Gabe Tuft is why THEY hate US.

by Anonymousreply 66February 5, 2021 9:01 AM

R61 Do fuck off fish troll, us gay men want nothing to do with this madness. Gays here in the US are fed up with trans "women" and "men" claiming to be one of us just because they have a dress on and or a beard. We see it for what it is conversion therapy in a deluded homophobic body.

by Anonymousreply 67February 5, 2021 9:06 AM

by Anonymousreply 79February 5, 2021 1:57 PM

TENS of dollars were spent on that wig.

by Anonymousreply 80February 5, 2021 2:15 PM

R77 - well, supposedly he had open heart surgery in 2019, which is awfully young at 40. Either he had some genetic predispositions or some could draw a line to steroid use.

And here we are:

"I’ve come out telling everybody that I did steroids for years."

“And my thing was as soon as Priscilla said that, I ran to the bathroom, and I grabbed my gear and I shot up a bunch of Test (testosterone) and Tren (trenbolone) right away to go the most opposite way that I could from Gabbi. And I remember loading the syringe and pushing the syringe into my shoulder, and as I did, I just felt like I was killing Gabbi."

Ok - so, his testicles have probably shriveled up and his system is all screwed up. Plus, open heart surgery can have a major impact on your mental health.

A lot of these MtF trans tell a story of engaging in hypermasculine activities and a 'look' - which they look back on as overcompensating. I don't necessarily believe that. I think they have been raised with such a limited view of what a male (straight) can be - how they talk, act, and look like that they find it suffocating.

Bruce Jenner typifies this in my mind. He really has / had such traditional views on the sexes, marriage, the world, etc. - it was painful to watch interviews with him because he would make all these assumptions and statements and I'd be like - NO, not necessarily!!

Not all, but I think there's a significant percent of middle-aged MtF who feel that being a woman is freeing from all the behavioral and emotional constraints they perceive that society expects from men.

It's a shame they feel they have to go to this degree. Toxic masculinity involves emotional stunting and repression.

Oh - and in this case, let's not forget the next promotional plug - BUY MY BOOK!

by Anonymousreply 81February 5, 2021 2:20 PM

by Anonymousreply 94February 5, 2021 4:22 PM

R94 - particularly if your career as a washed-up steroided wrestler is over.

He's gone from injecting male steroids for 15 years to now injecting female hormones. I guess he didn't consult a doctor about this. Particularly after he's had heart surgery from his previous steroids.

What's surprising is that he has a degree and some real life skills. He has a college degree in civil engineering and worked in that field for awhile.

Ugh, I hate that we’re still meant to call WWE performers ‘superstars’. It’s so gross.

ROH or TNA or NJPW would never dream of asking fans to start using such silly and aggrandising and embarrassing terminology. Even CHIKARA doesn’t have its own stupid words to refer to basic wrestling, and you’d expect them to be the first in line for that marketing tool.

All these claims of “coming out” and showing their “true” selves is no more than a 6-year-old throwing a tantrum: all they’re doing is making sure they remain the centre of attention and that everyone prioritises their demands. These She-Males are just narcissists or undiagnosed BPD. Bro always wanted attention and adoration and he thinks that's what being a woman is. And for the BPD crowd, they have no identity, they are just hollow shells that adopt whatever identity will get them ahead. Very sick people. Too bad they politically own the American association of psychiatry or this disease would have been properly logged a long time ago.

Wow, Gabe was really hot in the picture at R70.

Interesting how "Gabbi" still keeps the Gabe Tuft Instagram page up, and not only that, but has left the pictures up of when Gabbi was still a male.

Most trans people would have taken those down. They want no reminder of ever having been their former selves.

I would like to know who Gabbi is attracted to now, men or women?

That would be an interesting conversation.

It seems to trace the evolution of Gabe to Gabbi.

I think it's actually kind of cool to see Gabe slowly make the transition to Gabbi.

Also interesting to see that he had a lot of support from friends and family.

Watched WWE casually on-and-off for years, and I literally do not remember ever seeing Tyler Reks wrestle or cut a primo, so his stint on tv must have been short and/or completely forgettable.

Apparently some eight years back he even tag-teamed for a little while with one of my favourites, Curt Hawkins. I totally missed it, so I guess I was busy, on vacation, or just watching something better at the time.

There's just such a disconnect between the before and after, that it really is mind-boggling.

Do you think some of these guys are actually GAY but find coming out as trans easier than coming out as being gay? I used to wonder about these crossdressing married with kids men being adamant, almost defensive, they weren't gay but they just like to wear women's clothing.

by Anonymousreply 131February 8, 2021 12:16 PM

It really is mind-boggling isn't it R130! It's just very a surprising change. He/she must have been very determined and very sure of becoming transgender. His/her Instagram account is very supportive.

Also - I got the acronym incorrect sorry - I meant MTF.

by Anonymousreply 132February 8, 2021 12:19 PM

[quote]Do you think some of these guys are actually GAY but find coming out as trans easier than coming out as being gay?

No R131. That doesn't make sense.

There's no way that being transgender is easier than being gay. Look at this example of Gabe/Gabbi Tuft. No way that's easier - it would be extremely difficult and then to live like that will be extremely difficult. It would be much easier to just come out as gay if you were gay. Going from Gabe to Gabbi would take a lot of work and commitment to make such a massive change.

*Crossing dressing men aren't transgender. They're transvestites.

Gabbi explains her personal journey here:

[quote] Gabbi's coming out video

This was my original coming out video that I recorded almost two months ago. In full transparency, I’ve made so many physical changes since then that I encountered a moment of internal turmoil. - For a brief moment, I questioned whether or not I should post this video simply because of my physical appearance when I recorded it in mid-December. The desire to be seen as physically more feminine, compared to that time, had crept into my mind. - My internal battle was short, milliseconds possibly. I focused on why I was sharing my story and remembered it was to be truthful and transparent. At that time, I was incredibly proud of my progress with my transition, both physically and emotionally, and I was able to mentally revisit that moment and bask in the joy and genuine happiness I was experiencing when I told my story for the very first time. - Transparency, truth, and ultimate honesty are what I pledge to you. It is my hope that through these aspects of my story, those that feel alone, those that are seeking understanding, and those that are desperately desiring support will find it. - This is my story. It’s raw, it’s real, and it’s emotional. - This is me. - Gabbi

Such an interesting video at R134, but I'm still not hearing what makes her a "woman."

There's a lot of talk about hair and makeup, and "dressing up," but nothing about BEING a woman.

I listen to Jazz Jennings, and it's 100% "I am a girl." Not because of the hair and makeup (I don't think that Jazz even wears makeup), but for her there is absolutely no question that she IS female.

That's why I think people like Gabbi are confusing this idea of womanhood, with actually being a woman. That's also why I think that she might be a transvestite, rather than transgender.

For Gabbi, it's all superficial stereotypical female things that she claims makes her a woman. Hair, makeup, clothes.

For Jazz, it's completely internal and has almost nothing to do with hair, makeup and clothes.

Again, I ask the question why transvestism has been pushed aside, and replaced with transgenderism. To me, there really is a place for transvestism in the psychology, but it has been totally ignored in the past 30 or 40 years. WHY?

And for the record, I think that Gabbi is a transvestite, and not a transgendered person. Especially after listening to her story.

by Anonymousreply 138February 8, 2021 12:43 PM

No, R131. Most transwomen these days don't physically transition and are attracted to women, not men. Which is why they're so adamant about having access to women's changing rooms and showers, etc.

by Anonymousreply 139February 8, 2021 12:46 PM

[quote] Most transwomen these days don't physically transition and are attracted to women, not men. Which is why they're so adamant about having access to women's changing rooms and showers, etc.

In answer to R126, this is actually when it DOES become other peoples' business. Especially for females.

Gabbi seems to still be married to their wife, so I'm guessing that makes her.... a lesbian? With a penis?

In which case, is the person really considered trans?

by Anonymousreply 140February 8, 2021 12:50 PM

[quote] Transparency, truth, and ultimate honesty are what I pledge to you.

UKGuy: she pledged transparency. If she chopped off her dick, she promises to tell us.

One thing she didn’t pledge is beauty.

She seems sweet and I believe she really wants to present herself to the world as a woman. I don’t pretend to understand why she had this compulsion, but I don’t have any problem with it. I do have a problem with political and advocacy groups implying that L/G is the same at T. That is a lie and they push this narrative at the expense of L/G acceptance.

by Anonymousreply 141February 8, 2021 12:54 PM

[quote] For Jazz, it's completely internal and has almost nothing to do with hair, makeup and clothes.

You can’t seriously believe this. Jazz has been coached since he was three years old by his insane mother. He absolutely believes that long hair, liking mermaids, and having his penis removed makes him female.

Read his book. There is some very creepy shit that suggests this poor boy has been abused. He would purposely piss himself in school, draw inappropriate pictures in kindergarten, and talk openly about genitals, his own and others, from a very young age. That’s not normal.

[quote]There are certain psychologically unbalanced people who latch onto being trans because it is the topic du jour.

This goes all the way back to 1973. A guy in our NY banking office decided to become a woman. He was a weird guy, no friends, a femme gay, and loved attention any way he could get it. He began to transition and our boss called us into the conference room and told us to accept him and that he would no longer be required to wear a tie (we had to wear them back then) and we watched the hormones work on him rather quickly it seemed at the time. He began to wear his blouses open to display his new breasts until he was told to button up. He would pick up straight men on the street. Some wised up right away, others he fooled, for a time. It was an ego trip. Finally, he found an older man and moved to Miami to be with him. He claimed he tricked him up until one day the guy walked in an found him in the shower. That night he was on the curb with his luggage. Twenty years later, we ran into each other in SF. He was a man again, having long ago run out of cash for hormones, and was living in a welfare hotel and following the Shree Rajneesh. It is obvious to me now and it was obvious to me then that this man was mentally disturbed in the way a narcissist is. I'm not saying most are, but this guy was. He craved attention and getting it in any way he possibly could. If the science wasn't there, I'm sure he would have settled for being an occasional drag queen.

[quote] you are sick puppy even for a Right wing troll.

It’s all his book Becoming Jazz. Read it for yourself. Or don’t and keep pretending this shit is normal.

Here’s an excerpt: [quote] Like preschool, the elementary school had a dress code, and Ms. Reynolds insisted that I wear either pants or shorts. My parents fought back some more and were able to get her to compromise with skorts—skirts with shorts underneath them. With a skort, if you have a boy body, everything down there stays tucked away. The problem is that skorts aren’t made for boy bodies, which presented a big issue that I’ll explain in a sec. Remember those skorts I mentioned? I kept getting in trouble because I was always picking at myself down there, trying to arrange my penis into a comfortable position. Which was basically impossible. My teacher was very sweet and accommodating of my situation, but she’d still have to constantly rush over to my chair and lean down to whisper at me to remove my hand from my pants. My teacher understood why I kept doing it and didn’t want to send me to the principal’s office, but she also didn’t want to keep calling me out in a way that would draw attention from the other students. She talked to my mom, and together they came up with the code phrase “Jaron, stop bothering yourself” to get me to remove my hands from my skort. With the number of times she had to tell me, it’s not surprising that I soon became obsessed with drawing explicit body parts in school.

by Anonymousreply 155February 8, 2021 1:58 PM

And one more for ya r143. Remember this is a supposedly written by a teenager about his elementary school years.

[quote]One day, I had on a pair of thin shorts and underwear when I peed myself. The undies managed to catch most of the mess, so I slunk to the nurse’s bathroom, undressed, wadded them up in a bunch of toilet paper, and buried them in the trash can. It wasn’t until I walked back out into the hallway that I glanced down and realized that without underwear to tuck it away, the outline of my penis was now visible through the fabric. I shuffled down the hallway hunched over a little, trying to maneuver my body in a way that would make my penis move farther back between my legs. That didn’t work, so I folded my hands, very ladylike, and kept them in front of me. I spent the time until my shorts finally dried walking around with either a book or a piece of paper held below my waist, blocking the view. I tried to laugh it off in my head to keep away the creeping sense of shame I felt, but even as self-confident as I was, it didn’t really work.

by Anonymousreply 157February 8, 2021 2:59 PM

R124 Same thing with me. Whenever wrestling was fun, I would watch both Raw and Smackdown. When it was just OK, then I would usually go with whichever was better at the time. Most of us don't have problems with old school trannies at all.

It's just that, if you've been around for a while, you know when something is completely fake and, to a degree, astroturfed and/or social contagion. Trannies were less of an issue 15 years ago because they were a super niche topic. 90% of today's trannies would not have been considered 'trans' 15 years ago. That's what's so irritating about it! Most of them would have been proud cross-dressers, transvestites, or gender non-comforming/androgynous people.

Of course, supposedly 'straight' men already wanked vigorously to 'shemales' back then, but they didn't get to be social paragons for being oh so inclusive and pansexual. No, they were just men with unusual sexual fantasies.

by Anonymousreply 172February 10, 2021 7:57 PM

by Anonymousreply 173February 10, 2021 8:00 PM

R172 "It's just that," okay, so what's the problem...? "That's what's so irritating" is it actually that irritating? Is this what keeps you up at night? "they didn't get to be social paragons" Nevermind, it is what keeps you up at night. Grab another glass of wine, it's really not that deep.

R173 What argument am I trying to make? Tell me! Please tell me?

by Anonymousreply 174February 11, 2021 5:01 AM

R174, sure, they can live their life in peace for all I care, as long as they leave me alone, leave gay spaces and orgs alone (real or virtual), don't suck up the air with their narcissistic need for self-validation wherever they go, don't police my language and ask me to use their made-up pronouns, and get over themselves with their constant need of acting offended about everything.

Gabbi got some new TITS!

Former WWE superstar Gabbi Tuft, who came out to the world as transgender in February in a series of candid interviews, is now openly sharing the latest part of her transition: her breast augmentation surgery.

“I feel great,” she said, taking to Instagram just hours after her surgery, when she posted a lengthy video of herself in a hot pink robe, black headwrap, full face of makeup and a bandage wrapped securely around her new breasts. For more than an hour and a half and “still loopy,” she chatted with viewers and answered questions, at times joined by her wife of 19 years, Priscilla Tuft, who at one point reported about Gabi, “Her booty is looking more feminine.” The intimate post-op peek has already been viewed more than 13,280 times.

“I have so many messages of support I cannot get to them… I’m blown away,” she said, explaining that rather than just “double tap” all the messages to make hearts, she decided to offer a personal thank-you video. Then came a second video update, posted Friday afternoon and captioned, “Showing off my girls 24-hours post surgery.”

Gabbi retired from competing in WWE after three years, from 2009 to 2012, and came out as a transgender woman in February of this year on Instagram. Since then, she’s been transparent in documenting her transition for her 73,500 Instagram followers, sharing moments from hair transplant surgery and the occasional crying jag to her just-had breast augmentation. (While many transgender people take hormones prescribed by their doctors, and some undergo various surgeries, not all transgender people can or will take any or all of those steps, explains GLAAD.)

Among the questions lobbed at Gabbi in her videos, and her answers:

What size did you get? “I got 620 cc’s in each breast and I’m going to find out today at my post-op consult…what that means as far as cup size.”

Are you and your wife still intimate? “I tend to stay away from those questions because the media picked up on it early on, and it became this thing that was more important than my overall transition and what we were trying to do for the world, for transgender people in general, which was spread awareness and make it easier for people to come out and feel comfortable…” Still, she added, “our relationship is definitely more of a friendship now. We are more in love than ever before.”

One viewer asked if she had any advice to offer to LGBTQ people struggling with issues around self-harm. She suggested finding supportive and reliable friends to lean on, sharing, “I was in that same position for a while. I wanted to off myself so bad, so many times. I’m not afraid to talk about it… the pain of coming out to be who you really are versus just ending it all seems like an easier method.” That changed once she felt comfortable in her skin she said, noting, “I have this saying: I know what I am. I’m a trans girl.”

Gabbi also fielded questions about the next step in her transition process: Feminizing facial surgery, which, she explained, will include a fat transfer to her lips, the shaving down of her Adam’s apple, moving her hairline, opening up her eyes and thinning out her nose. But the price tag is hefty — $100,000 — which is why she’s set up a “badge” donation system through Instagram. “It’s been really hard lately,” she admitted. “Things have kind of taken a shift, financially, and I’m not asking anyone to donate — it’s just there if you feel like it.” When one viewer asked how far she was from her goal, she answered, “Five percent… 5 percent of 100 grand is about where I’m at.”

Though the vast majority of viewers seemed overwhelmingly supportive, trolls did get in — and Gabbi gave attention to one, despite typically staying away from negativity, in order to explain the effect on her psyche: “‘How are you, big man?’” she read aloud, noting, “That’s like a slap in the face… It does hit here in the heart. It’s like, ouch, come on.”

prolonged steroid use must create some kind of imbalance, or the body reacts in a bad way when the man goes off them or reduces the amount he's using, because a few of these MtF transgenders have had a past with steroid use, it makes sense I suppose, confusing your body like that - I think Bruce Jenner may have used steroids in the past too (it was very common back when he was competing).

r181, I agree with you, I just want to say I think some of that increase could be down to the obesity epidemic (granted I don't really know what I'm talking about!).

by Anonymousreply 185May 16, 2021 12:00 PM

R184, if it was due to obesity, the 34 number would have increased along with the actual cup size. That's the measurement around the chest. The fact that that number stayed the same means that they weren't any thicker around the chest as happens when you get fat but that the actual boobs inflated three cup sizes. That's not how it works naturally. It's all due to implants, especially the beach ball boob ones.
