Not worse than I imagined. Rumors and first hand accounts of arranged fawning and trickery have been reported for DECADES.
Some producer or director can't remember who, arranged for a VERY fancy dinner party for the GG judges to "screen" their latest film. The films actors were there as well and schmoozed with the judges and their plus ones all night.
