To each their own, but I've never liked Lay's. I still don't understand the ongoing popularity. Even the kettle cooked versions are dull & boring, and taste overly-processed. I've always preferred Grandma Utz. The texture is substantial (it FEELS and TASTES like a fried potato slice, as opposed to something that was a potato at one time), and they're fried in lard (whch improves the final flavor immensely).
