Noah Centineo Attached To Star In Movie About GameStop Stock Drama

Netflix is wasting no time in making a movie about the recent GameStop stock drama!

The streaming service has put a film into development, with Noah Centineo already set to play a major role, Deadline reports.

According to site, sources say that "the intention is to use the GameStop episode as a specific way to shine a light on the phenomenon of how social media has leveled the playing field and allowed the masses to challenge status quo gatekeepers, for good and bad."

Just last week, social media and the news exploded as stock for GameStop soared after a group of people on Reddit were able to get the stock price for it to rise significantly and cause a hedge fund worth billions of dollars to go bankrupt in the process.

Dear God that photo.

Justjared hates her.

by Anonymousreply 1February 1, 2021 10:57 PM

By the time it comes out, no one will care.

by Anonymousreply 2February 1, 2021 11:02 PM

Christ, he's so high there, he can barely open his eyes.

by Anonymousreply 3February 1, 2021 11:23 PM

How are they going to dramatize it? Like a bunch of fat guys plotting some short squeeze on some fat, bald hedge fund slobs on Snapchat? Probably another boring shitshow from Netflix.

by Anonymousreply 4February 1, 2021 11:43 PM

I have never heard of this person. Who is he?

by Anonymousreply 5February 1, 2021 11:50 PM

R5 this person.

Wait! An original idea came out of Hollywood? Must be a Covid side effect

by Anonymousreply 7February 2, 2021 12:26 AM

All the execs at Netflix need to be fired. They have no idea what people are interested in.

by Anonymousreply 8February 2, 2021 12:39 AM

He is very sweet. He texted my female cousin over a few months time at the start of the virus and flirted with her. He kept saying how bored he was in Florida. He sent some racy pics, but not any nudes.

by Anonymousreply 9February 2, 2021 12:44 AM

I iike him. He's charming. That's a terrible picture so yeah someone doesn't like him..

by Anonymousreply 10February 2, 2021 1:04 AM

He has a nice cock. All hot actors should have their vids leaked before they make it big

by Anonymousreply 11February 2, 2021 2:37 AM

So the plot will be, basement dwelling Redditors band together to short squeeze the Hedge fund, the power goes to their heads, and they drive up the price of silver, not understanding that the commodities market is different - and then what. What happens next, what is the denouement?

by Anonymousreply 12February 2, 2021 2:40 AM

I've never seen him in anything, which makes sense as he is famous for Netflix teen romcoms.

by Anonymousreply 13February 2, 2021 2:40 AM

oh he's still a thing?

by Anonymousreply 14February 2, 2021 2:44 AM

What does he contribute to film other than shit-eating grins?

by Anonymousreply 15February 2, 2021 2:45 AM

R14 No, netflix is the only thing he's ever had going for him. Everything he's been in has bombed critically and financially.

by Anonymousreply 16February 2, 2021 3:00 AM

Is that Masters of the Universe project with him as He-Man still happening?

by Anonymousreply 17February 2, 2021 3:16 AM

How can they make a movie about something that isn’t resolved yet? What’s it going to be about? A bunch of people bought stocks on an app. Then what?

by Anonymousreply 18February 2, 2021 4:45 AM

The Social Network: Wall Street Electric Boogaloo!

by Anonymousreply 19February 2, 2021 4:49 AM

How does this fug keep getting roles?

by Anonymousreply 20February 2, 2021 5:07 AM

Are they still trying to make this ugly thing happen?

by Anonymousreply 21February 2, 2021 5:45 AM

R20, he’s got a huge Italian dick. End of.

by Anonymousreply 22February 2, 2021 6:00 AM

That’s considered a heartthrob these days? Gen Z is going to grow up so confused

by Anonymousreply 23February 2, 2021 6:15 AM

I don't know who that is, but it's nice to see Hollywood give opportunities to slow adults.

by Anonymousreply 24February 2, 2021 6:20 AM

I don't understand how this guy was ever popular.

by Anonymousreply 25February 2, 2021 12:15 PM

this is the poster boy for "desperate need of a chin implant"

by Anonymousreply 26February 2, 2021 12:20 PM

I thought he went away a long time ago.

by Anonymousreply 27February 2, 2021 12:34 PM

He's not heart throb handsome. He was a bit, when he was younger, but now he's turning into a man. He's got a very round face shape and head. I think he's cute enough though. And I can see him being attractive to basic women. He's real looking.

Wasn’t he and his family exposed for something? I forget what it was about but it was pretty bad. Guess no one cared.

[quote]This is the scandal.

His father was behind that?! I went to the premiere because my friend hoped that Hugh Dancy - one of the voice cast - was there. I couldn't understand why nearly everyone had VIP lanyards, so while we waited for the film to start, I Googled the film and found the years long thread about how people invested in this film with the promise of it being voiced by the biggest stars and a return on the investment was guaranteed. Some had contacted the Better Business Bureau in hopes to get their money back, others were resigned that they had been taken. There were a number of people who felt bad for bringing their family and friends in as investors. Of course when the film tanked, people began talk of suing.

by Anonymousreply 32February 2, 2021 1:13 PM

Yep, this is the YouTuber who did the work in reporting it.

Noah is a defendant. Why this hasn’t been a huge story, I don’t know. Seems like there has been a lot of work in burying it.
