I agree with the comments about how annoying he's gotten though. He has annoying fans too. I used to comment on the AV Club, and a woman there said that she loved the scenes with him and Emily Blunt together, and I shared that he's married to her sister. She said she thought he was gay, and commented that he "still could be gay" and he and his wife "might have an arrangement." I told her that I doubted that because cheated on and temporarily left his previous wife. She insisted, "He still could be gay!." This was a supposedly straight woman! I don't understand why she had (has?) so much invested in an actor being gay!

I'm guessing the part that's "hard" is that he's left holding the bag for his older kids, who (besides losing their mom from cancer, and having to deal with their father "moving on" with a much younger woman, leaving the country and having "new kids") are old enough to google the entire sordid affair that he played out in public with Edie Falco.

If I were a kid from the first marriage, I'd be acting out in all kinds of baffling and inconvenient ways just to make sure Dad knew what I thought of him and his happy ending.
