Evan Rachel Wood accuses Marilyn Manson of sexual assault and abuse

Hey, get in line, toots.

by Anonymousreply 232February 11, 2021 2:58 PM

This is the least of my Monday morning concerns.

by Anonymousreply 1February 1, 2021 2:27 PM

She dated him for over 5 years. That’s not abuse - it’s codependency.

by Anonymousreply 2February 1, 2021 2:30 PM

She testified about this last year. Is there a reason she's Instagramming about it right now? Did more victims come out recently?

by Anonymousreply 3February 1, 2021 2:33 PM

This is no surprise to me and reminds me of an old article I read. Spacehog toured with Marilyn Manson and in Spin or Rolling Stone mag in the late 90s I think one of the band members said straight up that they disliked the crazy and horrible things MM band members were doing, like inserting hot dogs into adolescent girls’ vaginas. I have no idea why that didn’t raise red flags when it was said so publicly.

I have no doubt that Evan Rachel Wood was abused by Brian Warner; it fits with the prior info and ERW was barely an adult when they started dating.

by Anonymousreply 4February 1, 2021 2:33 PM

Look at him, you stupid bitch! What did you expect, Ward Cleaver?! Jesus, women are fucking stupid.

by Anonymousreply 5February 1, 2021 2:35 PM

The name of my abuser is Brian Warner, also known to the world as Marilyn Manson.

He started grooming me when I was a teenager and horrifically abused me for years. I was brainwashed and manipulated into submission. I am done living in fear of retaliation, slander, or blackmail. I am here to expose this dangerous man and call out the many industries that have enabled him, before he ruins any more lives. I stand with the many victims who will no longer be denied massive media coverage and much needed attention through victimhood.*

Fixed it.

by Anonymousreply 6February 1, 2021 2:37 PM

It would be newsworthy if he didn't abuse her.

by Anonymousreply 7February 1, 2021 2:39 PM

Does no one go to the police any more?

by Anonymousreply 8February 1, 2021 2:39 PM

...And—boom!—under 10 replies before sexist BS replies come in. How sadly predictable, DL.

by Anonymousreply 9February 1, 2021 2:41 PM

This is insane. The cognitive dissonance of women is off the charts. Creatures that are this confused should be kept in boarding schools until 25. Women nowadays are so borderline and most of them reconfigure events afterwards when they get burned. Women have no credibility and don’t value the truth, most of them are nuts now. Scorned whores make you glad to be gay and not deal with these sloppy gashes.

by Anonymousreply 11February 1, 2021 2:41 PM

Did she just dox him with his real name? LOL, will anyone be able to take him seriously anymore knowing his name is Brian?

by Anonymousreply 12February 1, 2021 2:43 PM

Women talking about psychological abuse is real rich. If mental abuse was illegal, over half the women in this country would be in jail.

by Anonymousreply 13February 1, 2021 2:43 PM

I'm not surprised. This guy is an ugly geek, in and out of makeup. He must hate attractive women for ignoring him his whole life, until he became rich and famous.

by Anonymousreply 14February 1, 2021 2:48 PM

[quote]Did more victims come out recently?

His former assistant and another woman posted their stories. The second woman deleted her post, subsequently. The second woman talked about meeting him backstage, went to the tourbus with him, he offered her coke, told her to shower and "lovebombed her" telling her he knew her forever. He invited her back the next night and he "demanded" they make a blood pact so they cut themselves on broken glass.

Now, when does this comes down to personal responsibility? All this use of "gaslighting" and 'lovebombing" as if all these men are Rasputin, with Svengali-like power of manipulation.

by Anonymousreply 15February 1, 2021 2:48 PM

How do write women so well...?

I think of a man and I take away reason and accountability.

by Anonymousreply 16February 1, 2021 2:50 PM

R10 not sure why you thought your article lent any credence to what you’re saying. It quoted Brian as saying he fantasized about smashing ERW’s head with a sledgehammer every day....yet it’s HER fault? ERW said he groomed her.

Some of you need to watch Surviving R Kelly to understand how women get slowly brainwashed by abusers.

by Anonymousreply 17February 1, 2021 2:50 PM

[quote] She dated him for over 5 years. That’s not abuse - it’s codependency.

She’s got an answer docked away for that too. Basically, by asking that, you’re part of the problem:

by Anonymousreply 19February 1, 2021 2:52 PM

by Anonymousreply 20February 1, 2021 2:53 PM

I’ll file this away so you all get reincarnated as attractive young women that straight older men will go after and not leave alone for the rest of your life. Karma’s a bitch!

by Anonymousreply 21February 1, 2021 2:56 PM

R10 In college I had a friend, a lovely and intelligent girl, who told me that because she had been abused by her stepfather she made a decision in her teens to not date until she was older and had worked through it.

by Anonymousreply 22February 1, 2021 2:57 PM

considering the star, is anyone surprised? he basically portrayed himself as the antichrist

by Anonymousreply 23February 1, 2021 2:58 PM

"If your first question is, "Why the hell did she swim in shark infested water?", instead of "Why the hell would the shark want to bite her?", then you are part of the problem that silences victims who willingly swim in shark infested waters and protect their shark attackers.

by Anonymousreply 24February 1, 2021 2:58 PM

She says they started "dating" when she was 18 and he was 36. What in the hell did they have in common? I knew some guys in Canton, Ohio who went to high school with Brian Warner. They said he was poor, smelled of urine, and was made fun of often. I can believe he is a sadist now.

by Anonymousreply 25February 1, 2021 3:01 PM

R24 agreed. Instead of, you know, making it harder for men to get away with this shit, let’s put it back on the women not to date them and DEFINITELY don’t accuse them years later when you developed some sense of self esteem and feel empowered through therapy or support. And there are so many healthy-minded straight men in the world who haven’t been raised as entitled to women’s bodies that these ladies should be dating instead, and women should be able to tell right away by looking at the men who’s safe and who isn’t. Oh wait.....

by Anonymousreply 26February 1, 2021 3:05 PM

Rose McGowan herself dated him for a long time. I haven't heard anything bad about him from her.

by Anonymousreply 27February 1, 2021 3:06 PM

Give her a minute, R27. She won't miss an opportunity to jump on this train. Asia Argento will be next.

by Anonymousreply 28February 1, 2021 3:11 PM

Heterosexual men and women bait each other by living up to male and female courtship stereotypes

by Anonymousreply 29February 1, 2021 3:14 PM

I know she was very young when she started dating him but did Evan ever apologize to Dita? You know, the wife she made fun of in interviews and then copied her style? Because that was kind of fucked up. I know that friends and family tried to warn her but she refused to listen.

The stories she is telling now are not surprising at all, there were tons of stories about Manson and creepy/abusive behavior.

by Anonymousreply 30February 1, 2021 3:20 PM

Why can't you ask both questions? Why did he hit her and why did she stay?

by Anonymousreply 31February 1, 2021 3:39 PM

This battle sometimes employs interesting ammunition. One of the main arguments against women’s rights in the 19th and early 20th centuries was that women were the weaker sex and incapable of fending for themselves against men, therefore requiring a man’s protection.

Women who stay with abusers and then say they were afraid to leave them often seem to be using very similar language.

by Anonymousreply 32February 1, 2021 3:41 PM

Marilyn Manson? Really? But he seems so normal.

by Anonymousreply 33February 1, 2021 3:44 PM

What'd she say about Dita?

by Anonymousreply 34February 1, 2021 3:46 PM

I can see why she found him so attractive!

by Anonymousreply 35February 1, 2021 3:47 PM

Why is that photo of teenage Jennifer Connelly posted? She and Warner must be the same age so he didn’t prey on her as a teen.

by Anonymousreply 36February 1, 2021 3:50 PM

Not defending him since I have no doubt he's an abusive prick, but I think the word "grooming" gets tossed around way too easily now. She was 19 when they dated. Is she implying he had been working on her for years before that? If not, then how was she groomed? 19 is young, but if you're old enough to vote and old enough to serve in the military then you're old enough to make your own decisions about dating, even if they're terrible ones.

by Anonymousreply 37February 1, 2021 3:52 PM

"society & parents should analyze why they’ve raised such power-hungry fame whores who get in those situations by worshiping rock stars in the first place"

Society and parents should analyze why they have raised so many sadistic men who live to abuse women, children and animals, oh, yeah, and kill gay men.

by Anonymousreply 38February 1, 2021 4:00 PM

R12 Everyone knew he's name was Brian. It's not like it was some well kept secret.

by Anonymousreply 39February 1, 2021 4:03 PM

R29 She's not a heterosexual woman. Her last few relationships were with women.

by Anonymousreply 40February 1, 2021 4:03 PM

by Anonymousreply 41February 1, 2021 4:05 PM

I just read an old interview with Dita Von Teese and I feel for her. She was actually in love with this disgusting creature and genuinely hurt when he left her for a barely legal girl. She said he was fucking ERW in their marital bed, which is why she didn't take any of the furnishings when she moved out of their house on Christmas Eve. I think this little homewrecker thought she was edgy and dangerous being with Brian Warner. It turned dangerous for real and she was somehow surprised?

by Anonymousreply 42February 1, 2021 4:07 PM

I wonder what Evan thinks of this video now?

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 43February 1, 2021 4:44 PM

The problem with replies like r26 is that, even though they're right, it tells the malcontents of Datalounge that they can get a rise out of someone if they continue to say it's always the bitch's fault, never the man's.

The other day someone was saying a 3-year-old Judy Garland was very literally ASKING for all the abuse and mistreatment she received, because she was a fame whore of a toddler. They weren't joking, but I'm sure they only said it because they knew it would make someone mad.

Not saying at all that r26 shouldn't have posted, just noting the fact that any empathy or sympathy or even common decency on DL these days is nothing more than a trigger for stunted dipshits to be as grotesque as they possibly can.

by Anonymousreply 44February 1, 2021 4:55 PM

Why does she keep randomly bringing this up?

by Anonymousreply 45February 1, 2021 4:55 PM

R45 Randomly bringing it up? She never named him before. And if you were abused and the abuser was still successful you wouldn't bringing it up?

by Anonymousreply 46February 1, 2021 5:00 PM

R24 men are animals who can't control themselves, what a tired stereotype. Try harder.

by Anonymousreply 47February 1, 2021 5:01 PM

Rumor at the time was that they were really fucking in that stupid video "Heart-Shaped Glasses."

by Anonymousreply 48February 1, 2021 5:40 PM

I wonder if Manson's best buddy Depp will defend him.

by Anonymousreply 49February 1, 2021 5:45 PM

[quote]Randomly bringing it up? She never named him before. And if you were abused and the abuser was still successful you wouldn't bringing it up?

This is her first time naming him, but she’s hinted at it before. And if I was abused I would have got the fuck out of the relationship and not stayed with them for 5 years. There’s nothing that can be done at this point. This is why people need to speak the hell up and go to the police when it’s happening.

by Anonymousreply 50February 1, 2021 6:05 PM

R50 Look at you being so brave.

by Anonymousreply 51February 1, 2021 6:13 PM

Next thing you know Melanie and Ivanka are gonna come out saying they are the real victims of Trump and had no idea he was an obvious piece of shit.

The problem with women like ERW is that they all want fame and the bad boy that comes with it. Women have this ridiculous fantasy that their love will save a damaged misunderstood male. No. That damaged male will drag them down with them most of the time. But they refuse to realize this, and date horrible males and then play victim when people don’t take them as seriously as they wanted.

Anyone with a working brain knew Manson was a sick man the minute this relationship started so nobody is surprised.

by Anonymousreply 52February 1, 2021 6:24 PM

Marilyn Manson sexually assaulted a security guard who was working at one his concerts way back in 2001, that is, years before dating ERW. This was widely covered in the music press at the time - even I, a 13yo in South America, learned about it from watching MTV, so I don't buy that ERW didn't know what she was walking into. Sadly, ERW is that kind of woman who misguidedly exploits her sexuality to project how quirky, how unique she is. She thought she would look cool by dating such a weird man as Brian, so his pervert sexuality must have looked appealing to her, at least in the beginning. That she was totally blind to who he was simply can't be believed.

by Anonymousreply 75February 2, 2021 2:02 AM

“My experience with domestic violence was this. Toxic mental, physical, and sexual abuse, which started slow, but escalated over time, including threats against my life, severe gaslighting and brainwashing, waking up to the man that claimed to love me raping what he believed to be my unconscious body, and the worst part, sick rituals of binding me up by my hands and feet to be mentally and physically tortured until my abuser felt I had “proven my love for them.”

In this moment, while I was tied up and being beaten and being told unspeakable things, I truly felt like I could die, not just because my abuser said to me, “I could kill you right now.” But because in that moment, I felt like I left my body. I was too afraid to run, he would find me. I was too afraid to fight back, he had threatened to kill me before.

I was too afraid to have him turn on me, I knew what would happen if he got angry.”

From her statement on domestic violence.

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 79February 2, 2021 2:23 AM

{R78} Do you know anything about domestic abuse?

Sometimes going to the police means being killed. Historically the police have been notoriously skittish about pressing charges against abusers and women are absolutely right to mistrust that process. Everyone should know by now that the victim of abuse is most vulnerable when they try to leave. The misogyny on this thread is disgusting. And no, I’m not a “frau”.

Sometimes I fucking hate datalounge. The trope of women reporting abuse to get attention is beyond tired. It’s so brave to spew hatred on an anonymous site guys! Assholes.

by Anonymousreply 92February 2, 2021 4:58 AM

You fucking faggots. I reserve that term for the residents of Datalounge, who insist on having special snowflake status because you have a man-ass fetish, but who despise women, people of colour, elderlies, children, and anyone else who doesn't conform to your gay-ghetto wonderland. I come here for fun articles on gossip and pop culture, but you are an embarrassment to gay men, and I pray you are all obese, raging internet addicts like your straight counterparts, because if not, there needs to be a Final Solution.

The defense of a doughy, chinless, nasty dork like Marilyn Manson and the evisceration of a teenage girl here is like nothing I have read before. And we're talking about a site that thinks Chris Watt's wife "had it coming to her."

Have you not known anyone young who fell prey to the charms of a much older, wealthy man? I guess my pal Matt doesn't count as an example of a victim--he should have known, the stupid cunt. He was a dumb fuck, a young piece of shit who should have seen it coming. He was 19, the guy (let's call him Greg) was 41, and very rich, and very fucking sleazy. The day I met Greg, I knew he was trouble...pansy voice, bleached teeth, condescending air and smirk. Matt was extremely flattered to have been "chosen" by the older man, despite having had only two sexual partners before him. Matt not only thought he would be able to reap financial rewards and live in luxury, but would possibly meet some people who would help him into his university of choice, whether through a job or contacts. He was smug and pleased about his new boyfriend, the fucking brain-dead pussy.

Greg flew him everywhere, moved him in, and eventually turned him onto blow. Then Matt had to do sexual favours in order to get the good shit, which he told me about, but thought it was funny and that Greg was trying to be young and ridiculously "edgy" to keep him around. Then Matt had to do some pretty sick shit in group situations in order to get the good shit, and by this point, was hooked on Xanax to balance out how wired he always was. I never came over to visit him; Greg apparently didn't like me. We mostly went out for tea if we met at all. And he started referencing his penchant for BDSM, which he had never, ever been into, and laughed about a bathtub gang-bang he had been coerced into. Then I didn't see or talk to him for months at a time, and he kept disappearing, and his social media suddenly went silent after always posting about going to Costa Rica and NYC and Seville, because he was a stupid gay asshole! Am I right? Why don't these queer little fucks learn?

He wouldn't leave because he laughed it off, and didn't tell me much more than this, and last I heard he managed to move somewhere in the Pacific Northwest, but what a dumb fucking cunt! These stupid abused young assholes should have seen it coming, and left without looking back, and moved on!!

by Anonymousreply 93February 2, 2021 5:01 AM

He's so ugly. why the fuck would anyone be attracted to him? Just coz he's a "rock star"?

Also, did he do anything illegal?

by Anonymousreply 94February 2, 2021 5:10 AM

his image was of a freak and I suppose he had to do all the crazy weird shit to the girls/groupies (blood ceremonies etc) to keep up with the image....so the whores can tell all her friends and people will talk about how weird he is etc.

by Anonymousreply 95February 2, 2021 5:15 AM

by Anonymousreply 96February 2, 2021 5:15 AM

by Anonymousreply 97February 2, 2021 5:24 AM

Datalounge faggots who like to spew about the dynamics of hetero relationships is about as insane as it gets. I'm sure any one of you ugly queens would have moved in with the repulsive Marilyn Manson for the promise of neverending coke and booze, a giant mansion, fuckbois at the ready, and being whisked from country to country. If he humiliated you, alienated you from the family, gaslit you, threatened and beat you, and had all the power and contacts in the world to cover up his sins...well, so what?

But if an 18-year old girl fell for it? She's a nasty, idiotic stinkfish, amiright?

...and hey, you white-trash caftan brunchers, I am neither frau, nor trans, nor black. Eat my shit. A la Divine, I'm sure you would if it meant a frozen cheesecake was your reward.

by Anonymousreply 98February 2, 2021 5:50 AM

His lyrics are explicitly misogynistic.

Take this song which he wrote after breaking up with Dita:

But just as she wouldn’t listen to reason, I’m sure there are other young girls out there who think he’ll be different with them or that they’re actually into getting punched in the face by a freak.

by Anonymousreply 100February 2, 2021 6:11 AM

Why did these women in their prime choose someone like Manson when they could’ve had their pick of Chris Hemsworth lookalikes?

by Anonymousreply 101February 2, 2021 7:21 AM

R93 is either Evan herself or an insane fan that wants close to her. Calm down, not everyone here is in favour of MM, I certainly am not. If you read all the posts there are many against MM, so take a deep breath and accept there will be people who will go against your opinion. It sucks but that is life.

by Anonymousreply 102February 2, 2021 11:30 AM

Every person I know that has that "look" is a teenage girl groomer.

Onision, this guy and almost all the metal band singer with heavy makeup. I don't know how to describe it, but they all have that look that give the same vibe.

"What other excuses are you going to make for that idiot. That she didn't grasp the concept of coming in out of the rain? People like you [R83] are the reason why we have so much foolishness in this country. If you're old enough to drink legally, to vote, then you are old enough to know that you don't stick around with a man who tells you he's gonna bite you and do blood ceremonies. Personal responsibility."

You are such a phony pos. Why don't you hold accountable a 46 year old man for tying up and beating a 19 year old woman if you are so into "personal responsibility". People with this laughable double standard never hold men accountable, only women. You are a misogynist, one of the pathetic gay men who will defend Ted Bundy, etc., and no matter what, always blame a woman, any kind of woman for whatever atrocity a man commits.

by Anonymousreply 104February 2, 2021 12:59 PM

The bigger atrocity is dating someone as hideous as Manson.

by Anonymousreply 105February 2, 2021 1:02 PM

I'll get nailed to the wall for this, but I've long held a theory that Manson is a misogynist closet-case that takes his anger and jealousy out on women (this is not as uncommon as you might think). I also get this vibe from Armie. A lot of the Marilyn talk is of him wanting to eat or burn them, and according to Jenna Jameson's memoir described him as "girly" and said he exclusively wanted anal sex. There were plenty of rumors of him sucking Twiggy's dick back in the 90s, too. In Marilyn's case, I genuinely think he also wants to BE a woman, hence his anger. His cover for the album Mechanical Albums is not something any straight guy would do (nor most gay men). He screams angry, closeted trans to me.

by Anonymousreply 106February 2, 2021 1:45 PM

R106 I could see that.

What’s especially sad about this situation is that he’s such an uggo. At least Armie hammer was pretty cute

by Anonymousreply 107February 2, 2021 2:20 PM

MM was clearly a deranged lunatic. Evan made bad choices and doesn’t want to take responsibility for it. I have no sympathy for the fame whore and there’s nothing misogynistic about that. I have gay friends who stayed with bad partners for personal gain and I have no sympathy for them either.

by Anonymousreply 108February 2, 2021 2:24 PM

When the truth about Jimmy Savile being a serial rapist came out, it was said that his eccentric persona was "hiding in plain sight", so he could say things like "I do wrestling. I'm feared in every girls school in Britain" and people didn't take much notice, when in fact he really was molesting young girls during visits to schools, hospitals etc.

I think Marilyn Manson has been hiding in plain sight in a manner not unlike Savile, except he used gothy makeup and black clothes instead of tracksuits, gold jewelry and bleached hair.

by Anonymousreply 109February 2, 2021 2:31 PM

Manson had his weird look and weird music but then he appears in Bowling for Columbine to show everyone "I'm a gentle geek really, I just do weird music to entertain people" and people fell for it.

Though I'm not saying he's exactly the same as Jimmy Savile, who had a more hard-edged, working class personality than the manchild Manson. And hopefully he's not done as much bad shit as Savile did.

by Anonymousreply 110February 2, 2021 2:44 PM

[quote]R22 In college I had a friend, a lovely and intelligent girl, who told me that because she had been abused by her stepfather she made a decision in her teens to not date until she was older and had worked through it.

Somehow that sounds slightly sanctimonious.

Maybe she eventually went lez. Or already was and didn’t want to explain.

by Anonymousreply 111February 2, 2021 2:57 PM

I don't understand why some of you loons think that questioning the stupid choices that these women make is some defense of MM. It's not. MM can be all of the things that some of you are saying he is and it still doesn't change the fact that these women are stupid. And they may be even more stupid because MM does not hide that he's a complete freak. Would you date this and expect some kind of normal experience?

by Anonymousreply 117February 2, 2021 4:30 PM

I remember when they started dating and he would dress her up like Dita with the addition of the Lolita glasses - everyone knew it wasn’t good, everyone. She can’t say she wasn’t warned.

by Anonymousreply 118February 2, 2021 4:36 PM

I thought we knew this already, didn’t we? I could swear she came out with this allegation years ago.

And can we call out the willful disregard of every red flag EVER, with these “bad boys”? There’s a frau saying, “when someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time”. (They LOVE quoting this one!). This man literally wore his disdain for “normal” all over himself. He’s SHOWING you, dummies! You don’t even have to invest any precious time getting to know him, he’s a walking billboard for dysfunction and loathsomeness.

by Anonymousreply 123February 2, 2021 5:06 PM

R119 straight women are raised to reach for a very low bar in straight men because our society has let men get away with everything. Hence the controversy as our culture starts to shift.

I’m a gay woman and I didn’t settle the way my sisters did (my spouse is my equal and we talk openly about things, while their husbands are annoying and emotionally immature narcissists who have more power in the relationships). But straight women are raised to think that that’s all they can have. My sister and I even argued about it when I was much younger-I said women needed to find more egalitarian, sensitive men and she said “they don’t exist.” That’s the world we were raised in.

I hope this changes and straight men also aren’t raised to think they are special and deserving just because they are men.

by Anonymousreply 124February 2, 2021 5:13 PM

by Anonymousreply 126February 2, 2021 5:29 PM

If you say ANYTHING they start the "blaming the victim " shit. Yet your parents told you you will get burned if you if you touch the stove. She was an adult and now wants sympathy, the man is a monster and you went back for more and you knew how he was.

I have no sympathy for her, she did it to herself. And that goes for the rest of the women who went back for more abuse, these weren't destitute people like some poor mother who has nothing. I got aids because I was careless and didn't protect myself, no one gives me sympathy, and I dont ask for it because, I did it to myself. Suck it up and move on and stop whining.

by Anonymousreply 127February 2, 2021 5:33 PM

Rose & MM were much closer in age and she was famous herself when they were dating ~2001, wonder if that’s why he didn’t try being as controlling/abusive with her.

[quote]R123 He went on Stern complaining about how Dita expected him to pay for everything. Not sure why he thought anyone would be with his ugly ass otherwise

Exactly. She’s a professional beauty who could be with just about any man. I’m sure he liked a glamorous lifestyle and since she doesn’t make as much as he does, he’d have to cover.

What a petty fuck.

Maybe if he went after mature women who weren’t at the height of their beauty and desirability he wouldn’t have that burden. But that’s not what he wants. So - -

Wait. I had no idea. And more than one with Depp as a godfather? I feel for his and Armie's kids.

by Anonymousreply 130February 2, 2021 6:28 PM

It’s possible to acknowledge Evan was foolish to stay with him as long as she did and feel sorry for her. For fires; we have “stop, drop and roll”

For drugs, “just say no”

We have taught people how to do CPR and how to rescue someone from choking.

But we have no collective protocol for how to avoid sexual assaults, and what to do if it happens.

by Anonymousreply 141February 3, 2021 3:41 AM

I think we need to be intelligent and separate the facts of what happened from the responsibility ascribed to each party.

FACT: Dated 5 years FACT: Abused verbally, mentally, emotionally, sexually.

Other true FACTS are that she knew it was a bad relationship (at some point) and continued to see him, day after day, year after year. Other true FACT is that a 19 yo is no mental match for a man in his mid-forties or whatever. Another FACT is that he abused women over several decades, there are now eight women.

At the end of the day, ERW may blame herself a lot too — do we even know? We all make huge mistakes when young. I had a boyfriend who flipped out and got violent when he relapsed. I left him. But I could still make the case that there were a million red flags that I chose to disregard. Can both be true at the same time? I made the choice to be with someone who I knew had had a violent past, I totally own that — and that person assaulted me and would have gone to jail had I called the police, I will *not* own that as he made this choice. Pointing out my own responsibility in terms of choosing to be with an abuser doesn’t absolve the abuser of accountability!

I definitely believe victim culture is real and a problem, but as others stated, we also have a culture that has never stopped abusing women. Victim culture is an actual response to injustice, and should therefore be treated with great compassion for the victim. I’m thrilled this POS is being taken down, his face is a crime against humanity. And that torso “unsafe” photo??? Gaaaaaaaaag me with a spoon mother fuckers. He is NASTY. His pectorals look like a baby doll, and he is pigeon-chested......shivers.......the horror.

I will never be able to stop seeing MM anally copulating with Jenna J.

by Anonymousreply 142February 3, 2021 4:25 AM

He is repulsive and I don't know how someone could actually date him and I suppose let him touch them, I wouldn't want to be in the same room. His whole persona is based on being disgusting.

by Anonymousreply 143February 3, 2021 6:24 AM

Society should be sex segregated for everyone's sake.

by Anonymousreply 144February 3, 2021 6:42 AM

[quote] Why did these women in their prime choose someone like Manson when they could’ve had their pick of Chris Hemsworth lookalikes?

She dated Jamie Bell and left him for MM. She also dated Alexander Skarsgard then went back to MM. I thought she was too good for him, she may have had abuse issues in her childhood that she was attracted to a monster like him. Evan had a promising career already so she didn't hook up with him for fame. I still can't figure out what she or any woman saw in him. He's one of the ugliest men I've ever seen.

by Anonymousreply 145February 3, 2021 7:30 AM

The fact that she uses the word "teenager" undermines her off the bat. There's a huge difference between 13 and 19. I'm inclined to want to believe women, but things like that give me pause.

Was he legitimately abusive, or did she enter a relationship with a guy who she understood to be an asshole? And he treated her like shit, and now she regrets it?

by Anonymousreply 146February 3, 2021 7:39 AM

Goddamn this thread is disturbing.

Do some basic reading on domestic violence - it’s not that simple to just get up and leave. Perpetrators spend time carefully setting up these dynamics and breaking down their partners. Someone linked her testimony to the California senate above. You should listen to her describe their relationship. It doesn’t happen overnight.

Yes ERW seems obnoxious AF, but she has spent the past few years lobbying Congress and the state legislature in California re: the statute of limitations for domestic violence victims. She isn’t just “announcing this on Instagram.” She’s actually spent time and energy trying to change the laws.

The levels of self-righteous judgment from some of you is just pathological. Yes he seemed batshit crazy and yes she chose to enter a relationship with him (at 18) but why are you all so focused on THAT and not on his violent behavior.

Glad his label dropped him and the tv shows cut him.

And good for her for naming him. She probably knew she would face his psychotic fans who are all defending him. I’m sure she’s getting death threats. Just a shame that you delusional queens are also jumping on board.

And to the person who said ERW should “apologize” to Dita? Bitch PLEASE. In what world is that the takeaway from this?

by Anonymousreply 147February 3, 2021 9:03 AM

Why should the statute of limitations be extended? AT some poinr adults have to take responsibility for their actions AND their inactions. This treats accusers - and let's be real most will be women - like children. Just because you have poor judgment does not mean you have no agency. Should we also allow other areas of law to be amended because someone exercised poor judgment? Which ones? How about civil and family law? How about coming back years later to renegotiate my divorce settlement, you know cause my husband "groomed" me and, you know, I'm such a blonde and all.

Stop treating women as if they are children. It's insulting and ignorant. And the reality is that there are as many reasons why real victims of abuse "stay" as there are victms. The so-called abuse experts are all over the place with their generalized explanations for behavior by both alleged victims and alleged abusers which makes "expertise" in this area more anecdotal than true science.

It may be an interesting area of psychology to explore but it's not much better than common sense.

by Anonymousreply 148February 3, 2021 9:44 AM

My god. The woman has been dead for over 50 years! Why bring this up now?

by Anonymousreply 149February 3, 2021 11:47 AM

A lot of people from his past have come out and said he’s a dirt bag and what ERW is saying is true. Evan Rachel Wood may have been an adult and maybe she does want attention but so what he’s still a disgusting asshole and that doesn’t mean what happened isn’t wrong. His friend and band mate Twiggy Ramirez was accused of rape a few years ago. It seems like anyone who has stayed in his inner circle is abusive themselves.

Wipe away the make-up, rinse out the hair-dye, give him a pair of glasses and Manson looks exactly like a retired insurance advisor from New Jersey. On top of that, he has an antisocial personality and his “art” consists of being a third-rate Alice Cooper impersonator. He’s not worth it to be “saved”, ladies!

by Anonymousreply 155February 4, 2021 6:16 AM

Trent Reznor denounced MM saying the story MM wrote about the two of them in his book sexually and physically assaulting a groupie was false. Does anyone know what Manson said in his book about this? One allegation was that MM forced a deaf groupie to take nude photos covered in hot dogs and shoved them up her orifices.

Not doubting he’s a F***ing creeper BUT why did these women or girls decide to wait for years to report him knowing he could be raping and torturing other females? If they thought he was capable of abuse to anyone else then they should’ve been at the police getting his creepy ass hauled into jail. Why did she let it go? He’s been hurting women for years but no one thought it was a good idea to report him?

by Anonymousreply 162February 5, 2021 3:52 AM

I don’t have any doubt that Johnny Depp is just as much of a misogynist and drug user as MM, so their friendship makes sense. I do have respect for Trent Reznor, though, and it would be upsetting to know if he was part of the sexual antics that MM alleged. Reznor just made a statement reaffirming that he doesn’t like MM and Manson fabricated the assault story. Any insider info as to Reznor’s behavior around women?

by Anonymousreply 163February 5, 2021 5:31 AM

Read the book R163, Reznor was allegedly involved in many acts of humiliation and depravity with Mansion where they would prey upon teenage groupies. I don't believe for a second that he wasn't involved there are to many stories. They are all sick fucks.

by Anonymousreply 164February 5, 2021 12:36 PM

R124, you are right. There are nice, sensitive men. They’re usually not great-looking, but they do exist and there are smart women who snap them up and appreciate them.

And some women just love a bastard. I knew a woman who wouldn’t date a teacher or a plumber. He had to be a finance prick or doctor schmuck. They were always jerks, but she refused to date “below” a certain level. Eww.

by Anonymousreply 165February 5, 2021 12:51 PM

Wait for it... a lesbian came in here and said men are pigs but her woman lover is exquisite and sensitive and they have true bliss. Probably 300lb’ers in sweats.

by Anonymousreply 166February 5, 2021 1:00 PM

R162 - Careful, you might be accused of victim blaming with that post. I feel like these questions are justified to ask, or at least discuss, because you're right, for those claiming that victim's are silenced by various factors, there are also factors like what you mentioned that also would play a part in their decision making, no? Did none of them think: when I leave, who will he harm next, I should really think about reporting this to the police, maybe even anonymously? The police would then later come out and say: yes, we've been receiving abuse allegations about him from some time but anonymously so unable to investigate.

R163 - If Johnny Depp is awful by association, then it should be applied to everyone MM has ever been near, that includes Dita, because of these allegations are true, surely she would have known and/or been involved? She and this Reznor guy were far closer to MM than Depp was if they spent lots of personal time either in a house or bus together with no cameras. I feel like this was just an easy way for you to pot shot Depp, let's see if MM decides to take Evan to court, if not then I would say Depp and MM are guilty for very, very different reasons.

by Anonymousreply 167February 5, 2021 2:45 PM

I'm actually crying laughing at R149, thank you.

by Anonymousreply 168February 5, 2021 4:48 PM

R167 Amber Heard playing the victim is rich. I've seen a lot of people on twitter today trying to cancel people who were friendly with Manson over the years. At the heart of this is is people using the justice system to settle personal scores or gripes. "Well I don't like person X, person X is friendly with known scumbag Y, therefore X is just as guilty as Y". It's pathetic.

by Anonymousreply 169February 5, 2021 4:56 PM

This mostly hasn't left twitter. I think people are just exhausted from metoo. It doesn't generate hate clicks as much as it did under Trump. Kevin Spacey will probably be back to work after covid.

by Anonymousreply 170February 5, 2021 5:14 PM

R169 - Agree with you. Depp is guilty of too much drinks and drugs., I don't believe for a second he beat Heard.

by Anonymousreply 171February 5, 2021 7:56 PM

Heard and Depp just got into wild fights and both were complicit. Not to mention she was only with him for his money.

Evan Rachel Wood was barely legal when she was with the hideous beast MM.

by Anonymousreply 182February 6, 2021 3:11 PM

The sympathy I felt for ERW has been eroded a little by her spending all week on instagram trying to ruin Manson. It doesn't look classy. Why can't she save it for the courts? She actually did an FAQ in her instagram stories which addressed this but she only quoted some article rather than providing her own answer and it didn't really make sense anyway.

by Anonymousreply 183February 6, 2021 3:14 PM

I agree ERW seems unhinged now in her insta stories.

I think domestic violence victims wait to report because when the abuse is really bad it can take time to recover and be sure you are safe. They always say the most dangerous time is when you chose to leave a perpetrator (in terms of getting killed). I would think they need distance to be comfortable making allegations public or going to the police etc. Not saying this applies to ERW necessarily, but I think that's why it can take people time?

I mean it's taken me YEARS to start to process childhood trauma, I can't imagine how long it would take to deal with serious violence from a partner?

by Anonymousreply 184February 6, 2021 5:42 PM

R166 way to twist my words and make faulty assumptions, AND miss the point of my post. Thanks for showing your true colors! Keep it classy.

[quote]"On Dec. 19, I had to file a police report after I was alerted to threats made by @leslee_lane and @lindsayusichofficial (Brian's wife) for conspiring to release photos of me when I was UNDERAGE, after being given large amounts of drugs and alcohol, after Brian performed on Halloween in Las Vegas to 'ruin my career' and 'shut me up,'

"given large amounts of drugs and alcohol". I am guessing someone forced the drugs and alcohol down her throat because she would have never dared do such a thing while underaged.

by Anonymousreply 186February 6, 2021 6:41 PM

Absolutely, no one underage have ever consumed drugs or alcohol. That shit just doesn't happen.

by Anonymousreply 187February 6, 2021 7:11 PM

ERW unfortunately uses her IG as a personal DV diary. Always posting about narcissism and how to spot it is happening to you. I understand it takes awhile to heal from trauma, and why people get counselling, each to their own, better she is a prolific poster than an abuser (to others). Surely there has to come a point where a person needs to move away from being in that constant neverending loop of rehashing negativity from their past and move forward into a more positive thinking headspace? Must be toxic to her mind constantly thinking about narcissists, it is like she is abusing herself and not realising it. The narcissist is still getting one over ERW.

by Anonymousreply 188February 6, 2021 7:26 PM

He's just precious.

R188 She's a narcissist too. He was just better at being a narcissist. Narcissists hate when other narcissists get the edge over them.

by Anonymousreply 190February 6, 2021 7:39 PM

So fucking what? *We* loved MM!

by Anonymousreply 191February 6, 2021 7:49 PM

Hmmmm, you have to say that this is an enlightening development.

It appears Evan Rachel Wood released her story as she was being threatened with pictures of her dressed like Hitler being exposed (when she was underage).....

She is definitely a good chess player. I do believe every word she said, but it's still very interesting how she played this.

R177 Being introduced to Billy Corgan does sound like an act of abuse to me.

by Anonymousreply 193February 6, 2021 8:28 PM

Trent Reznor says he cut all ties with Manson 25 years ago but they made a video together in 99/00. Now that he's all Grammies and Oscars red carpet posing, suits and ties wearing mainstream businessman, he's afraid of getting cancelled.

by Anonymousreply 194February 6, 2021 8:31 PM

I'm surprised how many people are defending him on Instagram (and Twitter probably). There's so many mall goths in the world left. A LOT of them are girls and women, surprisingly.

by Anonymousreply 195February 6, 2021 8:32 PM

[quote]Have you not known anyone young who fell prey to the charms of a much older, wealthy man?

What charms, though? I think that's part of the point. If a guy seems nice, charming, or physically attractive, and is generally a wolf in sheep's clothing, it's easier to feel bad for someone who gets involved and is fooled into a false sense of security. But Manson is a wolf in wolf's clothing. I still feel bad for her, or anyone who's in an abusive relationship. But there must have been more than a few red flags.

[quote]I'm surprised how many people are defending him on Instagram (and Twitter probably). There's so many mall goths in the world left. A LOT of them are girls and women, surprisingly.

Ever see how many people LOVE Bobby Brown, or R Kelly, on Twitter?

by Anonymousreply 197February 6, 2021 8:49 PM

R193 Kim Thayil and Kim Gordon agree! The Kims just hate him.

by Anonymousreply 198February 6, 2021 8:54 PM

It will be really interesting if Billy Corgan goes down with this ship. He's one of Manson's closest friends and some of the shit he was doing to his band members in the 90s could be construed as abusive. But Corgan might be even too washed up for the cancel crowd.

by Anonymousreply 199February 6, 2021 9:06 PM

None finds it interesting that Evan brought this story out one month after she was threatened having old photos revealed of her dressed like a Nazi???

I fucking believe every word she said, but she either has a kickass manager/lawyer or knows how to play this game!

More power to her!

by Anonymousreply 200February 6, 2021 9:10 PM

Fuck! NO one ^^

by Anonymousreply 201February 6, 2021 9:10 PM

I understand that Rose McGowan just accused Marilyn Monroe of sexual assault & harassment, as well.

by Anonymousreply 202February 6, 2021 9:26 PM

R200 Threatened by whom?

by Anonymousreply 203February 6, 2021 9:32 PM

And Charles Manson, r202.

by Anonymousreply 204February 6, 2021 9:39 PM

Indeed, R204!

by Anonymousreply 205February 6, 2021 9:53 PM

R203- By Marilyn's current wife.... Its an interesting angle.

by Anonymousreply 206February 6, 2021 10:05 PM

Every single person involved is a piece of shit. ERW less so, but a POS nonetheless. Manson didn't groom her into wearing Nazi shit. She was a grown ass adult at the time. Is her argument here that adult women can't make decisions for themselves?

by Anonymousreply 207February 6, 2021 10:49 PM

R207 Is there an actual proof she wore a Nazi uniform? Lemmy wore Nazi symbols all his life but was never accused for being a Nazi.

by Anonymousreply 208February 6, 2021 10:56 PM

Link to Rose's statement; she isn't accusing Manson of abusing her and says he did not do so. She is showing support for ERW. She seems a bit nuts.

Is "I was in an abusive relarionship" going to be excuse for Karens doing racist Karen shit from now on? I think so.

by Anonymousreply 210February 6, 2021 11:06 PM

[quote] Is there an actual proof she wore a Nazi uniform?

She posted the pic in her IG story. She writes that it's Brian's hat and that people were drawing on her face the whole night. Again, something out of her control, I guess, with her being underage and a babe in the woods and all that.

Prince Harry also dressed up as a Nazi and he has actual nazis in his family. Perhaps MM abused him too.

by Anonymousreply 212February 6, 2021 11:28 PM

"My nan made me do it"

by Anonymousreply 213February 6, 2021 11:40 PM

R199 I don’t think the cancel crowd even cares about him. He was making fun of a trans woman a few years ago and has been on Alex Jones a few times but nobody cares.

by Anonymousreply 214February 7, 2021 2:51 AM

Why are famous and semi famous people always dressing up as nazis? I’ve never once in my life been forced to dress up as a nazi or anything else.

by Anonymousreply 215February 7, 2021 2:56 AM

Because it's shocking and edgy R215, thus you get attention.

by Anonymousreply 216February 7, 2021 2:57 AM

I don't give a shit about Warner. He's a freak. But ERW is a bit of a weirdo too. Birds of a feather and all that...

by Anonymousreply 217February 7, 2021 3:30 AM

R211 Yes, that's all that happened. She just put on his Nazi hat (it's basically a SS officer's peaked cap with the skull and Nazi eagle taken off) and had a moustache drawn on her. It appears to be simple larking around at a party, it's hardly full on Hitler/Nazi cosplay. And people have doing Hitler impressions for a laugh since he first came to power.

by Anonymousreply 218February 7, 2021 10:26 AM

ERW does not look drunk or drugged in those pics she shared to her instastory. She doesn't specifically say she was in her story but she implies it when she says she was given large quantities of alcohol and drugs and seems to be using it as an excuse for her behavior.

I am not a Manson fan and have no problem believing he was abusive to ERW and other women. However, I do remember thinking she seemed to be experimenting with drugs and alcohol back then like a lot of teens and young adults do. And not just with Manson. There were pictures of her partying with other guys during that time period including her ex-bf Shane West.

by Anonymousreply 219February 7, 2021 11:55 PM

ERW never named marilyn until marilyn's cunt of a wife tried to cause trouble for Evan. Serves marilyn right. I hope his career and everything else dies for him.

stupid bitch of a wife

by Anonymousreply 220February 8, 2021 3:08 AM

I think less of women who date and marry this guy. I just do. He's so physically disgusting and morally depraved. I don't get why two beautiful, intelligent women would even get near this creature.

by Anonymousreply 221February 8, 2021 4:18 AM

Evan and Marilyn are both nuts.

by Anonymousreply 222February 8, 2021 6:59 AM

Isn't Evan a guy's name?,

by Anonymousreply 223February 8, 2021 7:16 AM

R223 You got Jamie Lee Curtis, isn't Jamie a boy's name... we could go on.

by Anonymousreply 224February 8, 2021 7:36 AM

Didn't someone accuse both Marilyn and Evan of being racists not too long ago? I could swear I remember seeing that somewhere on here

by Anonymousreply 225February 8, 2021 8:09 AM

Names have no gender!

by Anonymousreply 226February 8, 2021 2:59 PM

[quote]Some of you need to watch Surviving R Kelly to understand how women get slowly brainwashed by abusers.

I understand but it also comes down to being stupid. They were looking for something, validation, attention, a cool boyfriend so they wanted to believe what this guy was telling them. Then it all went wrong.

He should be held accountable for his actions but there needs to be personal accountability on the part of these women. "Hey I was an idiot, I was young but this is not what I wanted."

I've had women friends come to me with stories of bad relationships when we were young. Nothing this extreme of course but if they told me about some guy, and I smelled bullshit, I told them what I thought and did what I could to get them out of that situation. Thing is, they have to tell a friend, family member etc. first, share the information, and help will come.

by Anonymousreply 227February 8, 2021 3:20 PM

Another accuser came forward. Also, another person who was assaulted by him before they began dating, but still took up with him. She played Ros the prostitute on Game of Thrones.

According to Bianco, who says she entered into a relationship with Manson in 2009 when she was 26 years old, the singer first became violent with her while shooting a music video for the song "I Want to Kill You Like They Do in the Movies." According to Bianco, though Manson initially said the role would require Bianco to "pretend to like being manhandled by me," during production he whipped her, tied her up with cables and used a vibrating sex toy on injuries. Bianco says the two never discussed consent.

After the shoot, the two began an affair where Bianco says Manson bit her during sex without consent, a trend that continued when she moved in with him in 2011. During that time, she says he controlled her schedule, what she could wear and when she could leave his house and once cut her with a knife. "I basically felt like a prisoner,” Bianco told New York. “I came and went at his pleasure. Who I spoke to was completely controlled by him. I called my family hiding in the closet," she says.

That is terrible, R228

by Anonymousreply 229February 10, 2021 11:37 PM

Their fame status plays a part in people getting or staying with abusive people. Some personal responsibility would not go amiss along with the abusers getting held accountable.

by Anonymousreply 230February 11, 2021 5:45 AM

A 26-year-old actress who was abused on the set of his music video goes on to date and move in with him after she suffers the initial abuse. These women must have terrible self-esteem.

by Anonymousreply 231February 11, 2021 2:55 PM

'Brainwashed' and 'manipulated'? Bitch, please. I didn't need to read any further.

When will women start taking responsibility for their decisions?
