Revivals is a very well-established thrift shops with three locations in the Coachella Valley. Some of the items they get in are incredibly valuable due to the people who die out here with no one to clean up the estate. They are going to have a big event or definitely make sure they know who donated this stuff. In their high-end boutique section.

As a former volunteer at two of the stores and a current client of the clinic, my issue is, only 15 cents of every dollar raised goes towards patients. 85 cents goes for salaries, rent, wholesale items they purchase and resell and other expenses. Some even think there is a second set of books they keep to show the board members. I don't know about that, but it wouldn't surprise me.

Honey, do you know how consignment works? You don't get money until the items sells and the split is usually 60/40 with you getting the low end, so it would be a wad of ones or fives.

They are going to take the fully allowed tax deduction on those donated items. Fair market value of everything could be low five figures which is still a nice tax cut.
