Imogen Stubbs, Lady Nunn

Posho RADA actress & playwright, best known for her Lucy in SENSE & SENSIBILITY (‘95, w/Emma Thompson & Kate Winslet), and her Viola in TWELFTH NIGHT (‘96, w/Helena Bonham-Carter & Sir Ben Kingsley). I loved her in PRIVILEGED (w/MAURICE alum James Wilby & Hugh Grant), that BBC adaptation of D.H. Lawrence’s THE RAINBOW, and TRUE COLORS (underrated political thriller, w/James Spader & John Cusack). Is she as lowkey lesbian as she seems?

She had a lesbian scene in THE RAINBOW. Very brief, and you can only see tits, but it was cool of her to do something like that in the 80s.

Ugly face. There is only ONE star of the Rainbow, miss Sami Davis? And tits?! Tits please, Sami was full on gay bush and titty. Running nude thru field.

I don’t know who this is, I’m just dazzled by the formatting in the post.

Here she is with a 19-year old 'Hughie' Grant, in a grainy still from PRIVILEGED.

The film was the first ever theatrical release to be shot entirely inside Oxford University, and made by a crew & cast of students.

She's no Imogen Poots!

Apparently she edits Reader's Digest, now. I wasn't aware that was still an actual job. She used to write for The Telegraph, as well.

Has anyone ever seen her play? (WE HAPPY FEW, 2004). It got rather damning reviews, and didn't have a long run.

I only ever saw her in one play (yes, directed by Trevor Nunn), and I remember getting an instant crush. Being a lesbian, I guess she might be one too.

She also looks like the wife of a guru.

She and Trevor Nunn split in 2011. She was having an affair with a man she'd co-starred with, so probably not a lesbian.

R9 how very thespy of her.

R6 The review is so bitchy that I don't believe it.

by Anonymousreply 11February 2, 2021 10:24 AM

R7 I didn't realise she starred in her own/her husband's production. That's a bit entitled, isn't it?
