Are cats or dogs from the same litter the same thing as identical or fraternal twins?

I'm not clear.

They could be considered fraternal "twins", I guess, since they are sharing the same uterus and were formed with separate sperm and eggs. They are no more genetically related than siblings born at separate times from the same parents.

PS: There could also be some identical twins in there if an egg or two split after fertilization.

Litters of kittens can have different fathers.

I've had cats and dogs from the same litter try to hump each other, so they obviously don't think so.

They are not OP, as my vet somewhat snarkily informed us when asked about marked differences in our two kittens, who are brothers and both solid black.

She responded that they’re SIBLINGS, not CLONES.

My boys do have the same facial features though, which is cool (and very adorable).

Yes, kittens from the same litter often have different fathers which is why we have calico and tortoiseshell kittens.

Dogs can have different fathers too. One of my dogs looked like a golden retriever and the other a terrier. One was tan/white and the other black/grey.

So, our pets are cum crazed sluts.
