Laurie Bembenek "Bambi": Innocent or Guilty?!

If anyone remembers or knows about Laurie Bembenek "Bambi" murder case, Do you believe she was guilty or innocent?! I've just watched TV movie about Laurie Bembenek starring Tatum O'Neal, but of course the movie was based on Laurie's version of events, so I'm not sure about the reliability of the story, though Tatum O'Neal was terrific in the film.

What do you think?

R1 That's what the film implied, If It's true that she was innocent, It's really sad and tragic what happened to her.

Lauri's husband testifying during the trial and seriously incriminating his wife by his testimony.

Why they kept refusing reopening new trial based on new evidence (DNA evidence at the crime scene) which Laurie's lawyer claimed to have discovered??!!!!

She was lucky enough to get two TV movies based on her predicament... Calendar Girl or Cop Killer?

She was framed, and totally innocent. There is a great deal of new forensic evidence proving her innocence, but she died too soon.

Those are some very unflattering photos of her.

Most straight men find blondes more attractive, she did look better blonde. I saw Claudia Conway has dyed her hair dark and now her face looks ugh.

Run, Bambi, Run!

And yes, totally framed by Fred. The Milwaukee police department was also eager to see her locked up, as Laurie had a lawsuit against them for wrongful dismissal at the time of the murder.

She did it.

Her husband was a gigantic asshole, so much that he was even disliked by other cops.

Nevertheless, while he wasn't implicated in actually causing the death of his former wife, the Milwaukee Police Dept. closed ranks around him, as did the prosecutor's office.

I heard all of that from somebody who was a Milwaukee Police Officer at the time of the killing and then went on to be a detective.

by Anonymousreply 12January 23, 2021 11:15 AM

The husband did it. All the cops knew it.

She was beautiful before she went to prison, not fug.

R8, I was an extra in that one. A couple of scenes were shot at the newspaper where I worked. Managed to get a few seconds on camera. Thank God it was in the beginning of the movie, since it was pretty unwatchable.

Bambi's story is one that needs a retelling, an honest retelling, as a mini-series.

by Anonymousreply 16April 4, 2022 6:59 AM

Why would she want to kill the first wife? She “won”. She was married to him,

I can't believe you guys fell for this. OP doesn't care about Bambi. It's the crazy Tatum O'Neal Loon. Close this thread before all the other threads are reignited.

Oh, the humanity!

I've always been curious about this case and I'm not sure if Laurie was guilty or framed.

Anyone has more information about this case?!

Guilty. But there are a contingent of people who see what they want to see. As for why, people can get very strange when it comes to their partners former spouses/ bfs/ whatever. Sometimes they resent their very existence.

by Anonymousreply 21April 6, 2022 6:39 PM

R21 I also has a feeling that she was guilty.
