Though he later grew to hate the Fauntleroy appellation, Mr. Brant was known for pushing the boundaries of gender stereotype in both cosmetics and clothing. He dabbled in journalism as a teenage columnist for his father’s Interview magazine, modeled for Balmain and Italian Vogue (among others), and, with his brother, founded a unisex makeup line with MAC, releasing collections in 2015 and 2016.

In 2016, Mr. Brant was arrested after refusing to pay a cab fare in Greenwich, Conn., and charged with larceny, interfering with an officer and drug possession. Though he attended Bard College, he did not graduate. According to his parents, he had been planning to enter a new drug rehabilitation center this year, and had hoped to return to play a larger role in the creative side of Interview magazine. In addition to Peter, Harry is survived by a younger sister, as well as an older half brother from his mother’s previous marriage to the guitarist Tommy Andrews, and four half siblings from his father’s previous marriage to Sandra Brant. (Another half sibling from Mr. Brant’s earlier marriage died in 2019).

“Harry was not just our son,” the family said in the statement. “He was also a wonderful brother, loving grandson, favorite uncle and a caring friend. He was a creative, loving and powerful soul that brought light into so many people’s hearts. He was truly a beautiful person inside and out.”

In an interview with W magazine before one of the MAC kickoffs, Mr. Brant said, “I really think that once you leave high school, you realize that being normal is something that people want to shy away from, and the more true you are to yourself and the more individual you are, the more people are inherently attracted to you.” Makeup, he added, “is all about fantasy and turning yourself into someone you might not necessarily be on an everyday basis, so you kind of get to escape for a night with this new persona. That’s what I always did.”

Stephanie Seymour has certainly led an interesting life. I think the sons are absolutely stunning, even the oldest one she had with the first husband. He seems fairly normal too. The daughter is just average. The pictures on the beach and in that ad are so inappropriate though. They all do seem close overall, but elements of that relationship are certainly creepy. Anderson and her ex Lee had a limited input into rearing their sons, who were primarily raised by her parents up in Canada during their tweener/teen years. I believe they were schooled up there. Otherwise, Anderson seems like a loving mother if not unconventional, but she never posed for pics frolicking on the beach with them in weird positions.

Seymour, as mentioned, has had a very "Hollywood" life in terms of the roaming chaos: west coast-Cali beach upbringing; European teen lover of John Casablancas (strange even in the mid-80s); LA with Charlie Sheen; the fiery public heavy metal thing with Axl Rose; long marriage to the older Brant and re-location to NY/Greenwich society. She was the final fling of Warren Beatty before he settled with Annette Bening, there was definite overlap between the two women which ended only when Bening became pregnant. The strange public cavorting with her kids, all of whom seem close but non-conformist and troubled to the max.

No matter the situation its still a sad death. I feel for her and Brant, who I'm certain are devastated no matter the circumstances. One of Brant's older sons died in similar circumstances just last year. Money never guarantees health or happiness.

Elizabeth Hurley and her son remind me of the Brant brothers and Seymour. Both Harry and Hurleys son were/are quite pretty but in an unsettling almost unnatural way I see in a lot of children of the uber wealthy. It's like the features are a bit too "perfect" to the point that it becomes uncanny valley.

If my mom is famous, and I text "Happy birthday, Mom, you are the best, I love you so much" with a picture of me and my famous mom, and tag her in it, and then post it onto Instagram, well then all of her followers are going to see it. Let's say two million followers for this hypothetical mom. And so all of those people will see see me now. Plus add in all of my follwers, say I have 100,000 followers just from being my mom's son.
