Tasteful Friends - Joan Crawford, er Collins, Putting Soulless NYC Co-Op On Market

What would Cristal Carrington say?

by Anonymousreply 39February 25, 2021 2:37 AM

Joan Collins is eleventy years old and I'm surprised she isn't shitting her pants in a nursing home.

by Anonymousreply 1January 16, 2021 4:28 PM

FAIL

by Anonymousreply 2January 16, 2021 4:35 PM

The Venini lustre is simple and nice. Hers, or staging?

by Anonymousreply 3January 16, 2021 4:42 PM

OMG She's getting ready to die!

It’s a white brick building with “picture windows,” eight foot ceilings and parquet floors. Hard pass.

by Anonymousreply 6January 16, 2021 5:29 PM

Is she having money issues? She "downsized" in LA a few years ago and has had a couple of big auctions.

by Anonymousreply 7January 16, 2021 6:14 PM

She's presumably having time of life issues. She's closer to 90 than 80. She's probably so over New York.

by Anonymousreply 8January 16, 2021 7:02 PM

She's 87. Even in great health and once COVID resolves, the world gets smaller as you age.

by Anonymousreply 9January 16, 2021 7:03 PM

I can't believe she ever earned enough for this and an LA place and a place in France. From Dynasty and a bunch of blah? She must be running low on cash at 87. I wonder if Jackie left her anything.

by Anonymousreply 10January 22, 2021 6:56 AM

Dame Joan has written several books, has appeared on talk shows, and done several series since 'Dynasty'. She's even toured her own one-woman show worldwide and it's amusing for fans of hers. No doubt she's also made some good investments to keep up her lifestyle. Same as George Hamilton and others who keep up their lifestyle years after their time in the spotlight. They also take whatever work is offered to them, like George in the KFC advert a few years back.

by Anonymousreply 11January 22, 2021 7:12 AM

Do those things pay 3 houses money? Maybe they do. I let my broke ass show by forgetting that you can invest money lol

by Anonymousreply 12January 22, 2021 7:16 AM

I can’t believe she’s 87. She’s just one of those women who seems like she should be maybe 70something at this point, given what a sexpot she was in the 1970s. Same with Angie Dickinson. Both women are old as fuck now. Jane Fonda isn’t far behind.

How did this happen? How can this have been *allowed* to happen?

Now, Betty White being 99, I can understand. She’s always been a cotton-haired old lady, for the last 35 years.

by Anonymousreply 13January 22, 2021 7:54 AM

On Joan's bathroom counter I spotted a bottle of the mega exclusive Roja Parfum Royale, which costs mega bucks, sitting next to a bottle of a $20 drugstore cheapy from Roberto Cavalli. I'm sure Joan wears both equally fabulously.

by Anonymousreply 14January 22, 2021 8:12 AM

Goldie Hawn was someone who became an old woman overnight too. I grew up with her as the hot blonde in movies and then when I was high school she was still looking stunning in First Wives Club. The next time I looked she was kooky old lady. She had no middle age looks wise. Joan is like that too. I preferred Jackie though. She seemed like the one you'd want to go to a bottomless brunch with.

by Anonymousreply 15January 22, 2021 12:36 PM

r15 What is a bottomless brunch?

I do suspect Joans finances are not in as good a shape as initial impressions give. Also she has said in interviews she financially supports one of her daughters , the youngest I believe and financially supports her grandchildren. So that is more outgoings but likely less money coming in.

You put the link in the wrong place.

by Anonymousreply 17February 14, 2021 3:35 AM

A bottomless brunch is when you go to brunch with your top friends and don't invite the bottoms because they are mouthy during the day.

by Anonymousreply 18February 14, 2021 3:35 AM

r18 Thank you!😁

by Anonymousreply 19February 14, 2021 9:51 PM

So how deep do we think Joan Collins financial issues are?

by Anonymousreply 20February 16, 2021 1:31 AM

Bump! Joan had some financial woes back in the 1990s I seem to recall.I wonder if history is kind of repeating itself in her twilight years?

by Anonymousreply 21February 20, 2021 2:10 AM

Who is Crystal Carrington?

by Anonymousreply 22February 20, 2021 2:18 AM

It’s FOREVER FUCKING *K*R*Y*S*T*L*E* you KUNT!

by Anonymousreply 23February 20, 2021 2:19 AM

I was surprised when I realized she just lives in a flat in London because I imagined her living in a townhouse in Notting Hill or Kensington.

by Anonymousreply 24February 20, 2021 2:20 AM

It is very much a millionaires row flat were she lives ! r24

by Anonymousreply 25February 20, 2021 2:21 AM

by Anonymousreply 26February 20, 2021 2:28 AM

r27 She is dead

by Anonymousreply 28February 21, 2021 4:44 AM

I’ve been to a book party in that building. Gorgeous views of Central Park. Alec Baldwin lived there, I saw him come in the lobby as I was leaving. In the early days of Heeelahria.

Remember Joan's 1986ish mini-series "Sins"? I wanna watch it again (for the first time since 1986ish). Where is it? Streamable??!

by Anonymousreply 32February 21, 2021 5:00 AM

Horrible building. Horrible street.

by Anonymousreply 34February 21, 2021 5:03 AM

Only $2 million. She's obviously poor.

by Anonymousreply 35February 21, 2021 5:04 AM

in other words, people are fleeing the city in droves and the schmucks who are staying put are going to pay $15,000 extra for the privilege...and what's going to magically happen at the end of 2022?

She's since replaced the famous bedhead

r35 Well maybe not poor but on track to be struggling to keep up the high maintenance lifestyle to which she has become accustomed?
