Is Kamala ready to take over?
Be honest. Don't be optimistic.
Biden is 78. Nancy is 80.
Most of our Democratic leadership are more than just Senior Citizens. They're practically ancient.
If one or more of them should become incapacitated for whatever reason, do you truly believe in your heart of hearts that Kamala is ready to lead on "day one?"
Or will the Republicans smell blood in the water?
Personally, I just hope and hope and hope some more that Biden will be perfectly fine for the next four years.
And then we can take it from there.

The incoming administration is not comprised solely of Biden and Harris. Joe is putting a solid team in place. He is restoring our democracy. Congress is changing for the better.
I hope Joe stays healthy but if Kamala has to step-up to POTUS, she’s ready.
It’s not about one person now. It’s about us, and we’re ready too.

Jesus Christ. She'll be fine. Our current president isn't ready to lead on day 1,453 or whatever day we're on now. Plus, she won't have a Cabinet full of unqualified grifters. She wouldn't be my first pick, but she's completely qualified. She wouldn't have been chosen as Biden's running mate if she weren't. She's not Sarah Palin.

Not exactly the benchmark to measure anybody by. Obama's experience level may be the best to compare with. I'd say she is smart enough to compensate any lack of experience. But she's done well as senator. She knows how to work the legislation. I'd give her an 8 out of 10 for preparedness and challenge you to find five other senators with more experience in executive and legislature.

She is not. I was terrified by her debate performance against Pence. She lost that debate (i was rooting for her). On the bright side, assuming that's an indicator of future performance, she could never be any worse than the outgoing dictator. Kamala Harris is better than Trump??? I know the media has made sure nothing positive Trump has done was positive for the country and the sheep believe it. Lets just start with the stock market. Was at 20,000 when he came in and has his 30,000 at least once. That is beyond anything any President has done period. Kamala didn't even garner 1% in the Democratic Primaries. She dropped out. She is an idiot.

Biden needs to live forever. Kamala is politically tone deaf. She’s not very politically intuitive. If she could think, strategize, and speak as fluently as Pete Buttigieg then I would have the confidence that she could carry the Party.
She is Biden’s VP simply because she’s a female and black. Not because of her political prowess and astuteness. I don’t think she can get the Republicans that voted for Biden to vote for her.

I see that it is necessary to remind you all, again, that Biden's candidacy ONLY came to fruition in the very last moments of the primaries because Jim Clyburn gave Joe Biden his stamp of approval. Black voters got the ok to vote for him in South Carolina. His campaign was failing miserably before that, just like Harris' was. So please stop posting like he had overwhelming support from Dems the entire primary, or that he has some astute political prowess that Harris lacks. The black vote sealed the deal for Biden and that's that. Yes Harris is black and you better be glad she is or you would not have your President Biden.

Kamala was SF's District Attorney for several years before she was elected to the U.S. Senate. I know several people who worked for her. She is brilliant and charming -- and takes no BS. She had zero critics with any credibility. When I voted for her for Senator, in the back of my mind I thought she's make a great president one day and I look forward to her being President after Biden -- whenever that should occur. I hope that she will be further to the left than Centrist Biden. Yeah, she's hella read!
BTW, I met Nancy Pelosi many years ago when she was first elected to Congress -- after having campaigned against her (for Harry Britt, the SF Supervisor appointed by DiFi after Harvey Milk was assassinated). WHOA! What a wicked sense of humor and a foul mouth, lol. It's a great story that I've posted before.

It's a new Presidential era now. One thing about Trump, I'll say he brought to light how in some ways the Presidency and government need to be organized in a bit of a more business-model approach, with less than overbloatingly needed delays and indecisiveness and more delegation. Kind of like how IMO Hillary during Clinton's tenure became a symbol of a the first Working First Lady while in office. If Kamala were to ascend to the Presidency one day--and even now, I'm sure Biden is on top of this--it's a new era where we realize executive managers who are savvy are ones who surround themselves with experts in their fields and let them do what they each need to do to make him look good and carry out his goals. I think she'd do that and do just fine.

Hey Lotionman at Robert 31, I met Pelosi too, at a private function, and was massively impressed. Before that I liked her but was hardly a fan. She's older than Joe, and shows no sign of flagging, mentally or physically. LOVE how she insisted the house re-convene at midnight after the freaking siege.
Biden's seemed sharper with each successive press conference. I think he's hitting his stride as he assembles his team and starts to get his arms around the issues. He and Nancy are a couple of tough old birds, and the challenges seem to energize them.
