I couldn't post on this thread even though I wanted to during the enforced primetime. Other than his hideous tattoos and rough, unpolished speech and accent, there's zero evidence that Fanone is a MAGAt. Seems like your regular blue-collar dad. Also, I hope this doesn't lead to any sort of harassment from thirsty and inappropriately classless DLers, but there's a reason Hodges was as explicit as he was in stating his leftie credentials and disdain for white nationalists. That's because, according to his cousin, he is happily married ... to a man. I don't know about you guys, but I welled up with pride when I heard that. It's obviously something he prefers to keep private so he didn't mention it in the interviews and we have to respect that. Notice he came across as considerably more educated and well-spoken than Fanone. But for once, someone I'm not embarrassed to claim as "one of us".

In a story in the WP, one of the cops indicated that the MAGAs *did* have guns, but were likely waiting to be fire upon so they have justification for using deadly force. All it would've taken for one overwhelmed cop to fire at a MAGA in that open crowd (that crazy woman was shot trying to enter a secure space which clearly told the others that this was a bad idea) and things could have gone far worse.

But aside from who is or isn't hot, I am glad these guys are speaking out about the sheer chutzpah of carrying a Thin Blue Line Flag - and beating a cop with it
