I get Gaga. She's great live and is very politically active. But why JLo? She can't sing, has no current hits, and isn't particularly political.

As mentioned above. She's the highest profile Latin entertainer in the country. I'm sure she's likely to do something more tame for an inauguration. That said Joe can have an entertainer so it's a kinda surprising but I'm sure he wants wide representation.

I dunno. It was fine but Joe could've classed it up and had Renee Fleming or Kathleen Battle sing.

I approved of the entertainment. Within her narrow ability, JLo sounded much better than Gaga yesterday. Everyone noticed it too. And Jennifer looked beautiful and warm and thrilled to be there. Gaga was a letdown. But she looked good and thirsty as always.

I do wish Audra McDonald had been given something gorgeous to sing. I fully expected at least one big beautiful voice. We didn't get it in the day or night programs. Audra lives in NYC, no reason she couldn't be there. I think it was a big mistake to not include her.

I hate her normally but liked her yesterday. Especially the español Pledge at the end.
