Would you name your son Gaylord in this day and age? Why not?
It sounds like homophobes bitching about a "gay" name

Gaylord is a noble name, OP.

If he looks like a Gaylord, he’s a Gaylord.

Nobody has used that name since Frederick Gaylord Crane a generation ago

Gailard Sartain is a great character actor. I wouldn't name my child any variant of "Gaylord" but I'm also not going to giggle like a little girl every time I hear the name.

Assigning your offspring a gender or a name is erasing their non binary trans self. Asshole.

It's better than something stupid kid Todd or Chad or Guy.

I thought we're supposed to be using LGBTQI+lord now.

This sounds almost like a EST, the Daily Mail edition. As far as Gaylord goes, I only think it'ssomewhat leading with the chin by proxy, and your kid will be the bearer of whatever abusive bullying is the result. IMO.

I work with a younger guy named Jayden, his wife is named Ashleigh. Their kid's name? Walter. Yes. Walter. WTF?

I have a cousin named Gay Marie (we used her first and middle). No relation to the Maries of Brewster, NY). Haven’t had any contact with her in fifty years, so I don’t know what name she uses these days.

R11 - huh, Walter doesn't have any bad connotations for me - I've known a couple (usually going by Walt). Is it considered old-fashioned now?
