R1 a thread for every vote

Teehee!

by Anonymousreply 5January 13, 2021 4:09 AM

R2, I don’t think we need any additional representatives. We need senators.

As of 11:55 p.m. ET Tuesday, 5 House Republicans say they will vote to impeach Pres. Trump:

• Rep. Cheney of WY • Rep. Kinzinger of IL • Rep. Katko of NY • Rep. Upton of MI • Rep. Herrera Beutler of WA

215+ House Democrats support impeachment. Vote expected Wednesday.

We don't NEED any of them. There's already enough votes among Democrats in the House to impeach - what we need is Senators. But it's a sign of a breaking dam. And if you can call it a "bipartisan impeachment," it looks better for the history books.

5! Woo-hoo! There are more than 200 of them.

by Anonymousreply 9January 13, 2021 5:18 AM

The House will vote to impeach, needing only 51%, but then the Senate must vote to convict (and remove), and that tougher because it requires a 2/3 majority.

by Anonymousreply 10January 13, 2021 5:21 AM

Two freshmen GOP House members Mace and Meijer will also vote YES.

I think there will be about 10-15 of them in the end.

It's still 5 more than voted to impeach him the last time.
