Lectern Guy Wears Face Mask At Bail Hearing
Adam Johnson, 36, was dubbed the 'lectern guy' on social media after a Getty photograph showed him in the Capitol, hauling the lectern.
The judge agreed to give Johnson a $25,000 bond, with several conditions that include surrendering all of his weapons and his passport. He will also have a curfew and an ankle monitor. Johnson will be allowed to travel anywhere in Florida and parts of Washington, D.C. However, he can only travel to D.C. for court matters and meeting with his attorneys.
Monday, his attorney said there had been "a lot of judgement based on that photograph which has led to death threats to Adam and his family."
"What he’d like to do is just get home to his family," David Bigny continued. "He’d like some privacy and to spend some quality time with them."
Johnson was booked into Pinellas County Jail and, as of Monday, was facing three federal charges: one count of knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority; one count of theft of government property; and one count of violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.

Yeah. I imagine the 5 people who died would feel the same way.
|by Anonymous||reply 1||01/11/2021|
This moron was having fun. His pea-brain didn't understand the gravity of what he was doing. It is obvious that among the violent assholes, there were some who were just there enacting their own version of an action movie....the mind of an 8 year-old. Scary.
The judge agreed to give Johnson a $25,000 bond, with several conditions
Such bullshit. He belongs in the slammer.
|by Anonymous||reply 3||01/11/2021|
$25000 for anti-government insurrection. Funny how folks wrested did drug possession or sales often face higher bail charges.
|by Anonymous||reply 4||01/11/2021|
I wonder if the Administrative Office for the US Courts issued some nationwide guidance on how how federal magistrates should deal with bond matters for the insurrection, considering that there will ultimately be a few thousand of these cases and the judiciary may want some uniformity to the process.
The judge should have severely restricted or prohibited this POS from having any internet access.
"What he’d like to do is just get home to his family,"
As if his likes and dislikes have any bearing on anything.
|by Anonymous||reply 7||01/11/2021|
It's their blissful ignorance about having done anything wrong.
|by Anonymous||reply 8||01/11/2021|
$25,000? Shit, the perps on L&O get no less than $1m in bail!
|by Anonymous||reply 9||01/11/2021|
I don't think this thread is going quite as OP intended.
|by Anonymous||reply 10||01/11/2021|
R4, talk about a slap on the wrist.
|by Anonymous||reply 11||01/11/2021|
Looks like he’s smuggling raisins beneath that shirt.
|by Anonymous||reply 12||01/11/2021|
"he'd like to spend time with his family".
His wife (the breadwinner) is fed up with his useless and has filed for divorce and custody.
She'll get it, too.
|by Anonymous||reply 13||01/11/2021|
Yay, Chewy! Good to see you, brother.
|by Anonymous||reply 14||01/11/2021|
R13, source? Couldn’t find anything via google search.
|by Anonymous||reply 15||01/11/2021|
These people must make so many bad decisions in their lives, but probably have enablers who rush to their help when they fuck-up yet again. I'm sure the adrenaline was pumping, but you should research the legal repercussions first if you break + enter the Speaker of the House's office.
|by Anonymous||reply 16||01/11/2021|
$25,00 bail for violent insurrection at a federal building? Who the fuck is this judge? If he were black he wouldn't even have been allowed bail.
|by Anonymous||reply 19||01/11/2021|
Ok, this is one of the few times someone should take off their damn mask. If I didn't know any better, I'd consider that piece of shit sexy!
|by Anonymous||reply 21||01/11/2021|
He is unemployed, father of five, married to a DOCTOR
that is right, his wife is a doctor
|by Anonymous||reply 22||01/11/2021|
Chewy McNip up in this bitch! Welcome back!
|by Anonymous||reply 23||01/11/2021|
His being released on a $25,000 bond is bullshit.
This wasn’t a college prank.
|by Anonymous||reply 24||01/11/2021|
A story about the guy who turned him in. He's getting death threats.
|by Anonymous||reply 25||01/11/2021|
I suppose the wife is a nut for being married to this loser and supporting him.
|by Anonymous||reply 26||01/11/2021|
"He’d like some privacy and to spend some quality time with them."
I don't think that any time spent with him would qualify as "quality time."
|by Anonymous||reply 27||01/11/2021|
According to his arrest record, he’s only 5’ 6”
Maybe he wanted the lectern so he could change his ceiling light bulbs.
|by Anonymous||reply 28||01/11/2021|
"What he’d like to do is just get home to his family," David Bigny continued. "He’d like some privacy and to spend some quality time with them."
Stupid cunt should have thought of that before his law-breaking spree.
|by Anonymous||reply 29||01/11/2021|
Quality time with his family?
He’s a stay-at-home father.
|by Anonymous||reply 30||01/11/2021|
If he were black he wouldn't even have been allowed bail.
If he were black he'd be [bold]DEAD[/bold].
|by Anonymous||reply 31||01/11/2021|
Hot! He’s going to be very popular in prison.
|by Anonymous||reply 32||01/11/2021|
Bet he throws a mean fuck.
Lady doc is one lucky bitch.
|by Anonymous||reply 33||01/11/2021|
"He is unemployed, father of five, married to a DOCTOR"
That's pretty much the definition of "big cock that's always hard".
|by Anonymous||reply 34||01/11/2021|
I noticed he was clean shaven in his mugshot. Did they dumbass think they wouldn't recognize him...?
|by Anonymous||reply 35||01/11/2021|
R35 He couldn't find one of these....
|by Anonymous||reply 36||01/11/2021|
Let his ass go to prison. So the Aryan Brotherhood can make him their bitch until his anus prolapses and they can sell him to the Black Muslims for a few cartons of smokes and some pruno.
|by Anonymous||reply 37||01/11/2021|
A black person can't even sell a loose cigarette without being executed by the cops.
|by Anonymous||reply 38||01/11/2021|
Lawyers interviewed right now.
|by Anonymous||reply 39||01/11/2021|
The lawyers are lying their tits on on CNN in R39's link.
|by Anonymous||reply 40||01/11/2021|
I hate this guy. Who cares what he'd like to do. Hope the dumb wife divorces him. Five kids he's responsible for and he's pulling this shit? What a moron.
|by Anonymous||reply 41||01/11/2021|
"What he’d like to do is just get home to his family," David Bigny continued. "He’d like some privacy and to spend some quality time with them."
Yeah I imagine the family of the dead capitol hill cop would like to spend some quality time with him also, aren't there still police officers in the hospital?
Seems to me I remember some black teenagers who were all in one car together, one of them went into a convenience store, robbed the place and killed the clerk, everyone in the car was charged with murder. Why are not each of these people who stormed the capitol being charged with murder?
|by Anonymous||reply 42||01/11/2021|
What about the lectern, what happened to it?
|by Anonymous||reply 43||01/11/2021|
country filled with deluded cunts being used by cynical lying bastards
|by Anonymous||reply 44||01/11/2021|
R43, think I read he put it on eBay... not sure I can find a link but I’ll try.
|by Anonymous||reply 45||01/11/2021|
A lectern was listed, but not clear if it was a real listing. These people are so dumb that I wouldn’t be surprised.
|by Anonymous||reply 46||01/11/2021|
Surrender his passport? What, in case Trump sets up a colony in Argentina?
As if it's ever occurred to any of these idiots to leave Amurca, greadesplaceonthegoddamearth.
|by Anonymous||reply 48||01/11/2021|
Total manchild. I’m sure his kids sit in their own shit all day while he owns the libs on the computer.
|by Anonymous||reply 49||01/11/2021|
Stunned he even has a passport.
|by Anonymous||reply 50||01/11/2021|
$25000 for anti-government insurrection. Funny how folks wrested did drug possession or sales often face higher bail charges.
Can't think why.
|by Anonymous||reply 51||01/11/2021|
Stunned he even has a passport.
Poor people don't have passports. Datalounge doesn't like poor people.
|by Anonymous||reply 52||01/11/2021|
Adam Johnson's crime was mild compared to Guy Fawkes and his fellow conspirators and their attack on the state power.
|by Anonymous||reply 53||01/12/2021|
R43 It was found in the Senate. Theft in this case includes 'conveying'. He carried the object from one part of the Capitol to another.
|by Anonymous||reply 54||01/12/2021|
FIVE kids? Why does ANYONE have five children?
|by Anonymous||reply 56||01/12/2021|
Adam Johnson's crime was mild compared to Guy Fawkes and his fellow conspirators and their attack on the state power.
r53 I guess his crime was also mild compared to Pol Pot, Ted Bundy and Vlad the Impaler.

|by Anonymous||reply 58||01/12/2021|

Bored MAGA house husband!
|by Anonymous||reply 60||01/12/2021|
FIVE kids? Why does ANYONE have five children?
Cause they can’t afford cable.
|by Anonymous||reply 61||01/12/2021|
R54, was it really found there? I hadn’t heard that.
Thanks for the info.
|by Anonymous||reply 62||01/12/2021|
From link: "On or about January 7, 2021, the lectern was found by a member of the Senate staff in the Red corridor of the Senate wing off the Rotunda in the Capitol building," the arrest warrant said. "According to the House of Representatives’ curator, the Speaker’s lectern has a market value of more than $1,000.""
|by Anonymous||reply 63||01/12/2021|
I noticed he was clean shaven in his mugshot. Did they dumbass think they wouldn't recognize him...?
He didn’t exactly have a Grizzly Adam’s style beard on the day of occurrence.
|by Anonymous||reply 64||01/12/2021|
in the Red corridor of the Senate wing
Though I’m sure it was lost on him.
|by Anonymous||reply 65||01/12/2021|
His life as he knew it, is over.
You hate to see it.
No I don’t. I REALLY REALLY LOVE TO SEE IT.
|by Anonymous||reply 66||01/12/2021|
Did any of these goobers defy our expectations? They all seem to be losers of one stripe or another, whether it's Jake "I can only eat organic prison food cuz I'm a shaman and stuff" Angeli living with his mom at age 32, or this unemployed shorty, they are all the sad dregs of society and of course, the irony that the Republican party exists to *keep" them the dregs is utterly lost on them.
|by Anonymous||reply 67||01/12/2021|
Fuck all of these people. These useless pieces of shit should all get a mandatory ten years.
|by Anonymous||reply 68||01/12/2021|
It wasn’t hard to identify Adam Johnson. He was the goofy-grinning guy stealing Nancy Pelosi’s lectern, not a care in the world, like he was at a sorority house panty raid in 1952 instead of an all-out riot at the United States Capitol.
Allan Mestel knew as soon as he saw the photo. That was Johnson, all right: Unemployed, father of five, married to a doctor, resident of Parrish. Mestel had met Johnson at a social function before, and as a photographer in Manatee County he remembered his face. They also have some friends in common. He knew things about him.
|by Anonymous||reply 69||01/12/2021|
People are held without bail for breaking and entering a fucking Dollar Store. This is disgusting.
